I really like the vibe of Fade, but I didn't have the best cut/color experience here. I came in with a grown out balayage and asked for a cut, color, and a Malibu treatment. The stylist assessed my hair and said that since I wasn't getting my hair lifted the Malibu treatment was unnecessary and immediately began coloring my hair. I wasn't super impressed by this as I wanted the Malibu and had already booked it. I have super hard water in my house and really wanted a good stripping to lay a good base for my color. I asked for a medium brown with some blonde melted into it from mid-shaft to ends. I got an almost black allover color with almost no dimension. I wanted almost a butterfly cut and I didn't receive that either. The cut was choppy and hasty. I really liked my stylist and wish she had really listened to what I wanted and taken more time to achieve the results I asked for. I'm not sure that I'll be back. Maybe with a different stylist because I felt comfortable in the salon and liked the camaraderie of the stylists and how they all chatted. The vibes were good. I'm on the fence about Fade. read more

I can't say enough great things about this salon, and all of the stylists I've had! The vibes are amazing, everyone is super friendly, the music is perfect, and--most importantly--I always leave loving my hair! I've had a few different stylists, and each one has been lovely. I have to give a shoutout to Autumn though, because she is the bang whisperer! I want to begin by saying that I've had 3 or 4 different ladies who cut my hair here, and they have been great hair cuts. It's hard to find a ladies' cut for this price where the stylist isn't using outdated techniques and styling. I really love Patty. She is professional, caring, and attentive. Unfortunately, the atmosphere and professionalism of the other staff each time I've come in has been an overwhelming turn off. At each visit, the surrounding staff have talked about drinking, used foul language, and have had personal conversations in front of myself and other customers. It's awkward, unprofessional, and makes the customer feel like an intrusion. For that reason, I'm looking for a new salon, unfortunately. read more

I made an appointment with Lindsey Ogle because I had heard alot of good reviews about the salon and figured I would try her out because she is experienced and is the owner. All I wanted was a simple trim, maybe 1/4 inch at most. I agreed to let her add what was supposed to be long nearly unnoticeable layers. I noticed about halfway through that she was using the thinning sheers to thin my hair which was not discussed at all! Had she asked about thinning, I would have told her that I absolutely did not want my hair thinned out. Once I stopped her, she went on to tell me that there at her salon if a "Master Stylist" was cutting my hair that they are gonna do whatever "they feel" is best for the haircut. To me that is completely unacceptable and horrible customer service. My haircut is uneven in the back and the layers are not long and unnoticeable plus now the bottom 4 or 5 inches feels super thin and I hate it. I would have to chop my hair off at or above my shoulders now to fix what she has done. The only positive thing I can say is that she knew I was unhappy and she refused to allow me to pay. That still doesn't excuse what she did and it definitely doesn't put the hair back that is now gone. I will attach photos, if I can, of what she said would be "the best haircut of my life." I will not be returning and I do not recommend getting a haircut at Fade Salon. read more

I've been in 3 times in my life and they manage to do a bad job each time. I'm never coming back. They only know how to do certain kinds of hair types, and then I have to pretend like I'm satisfied with a horrible hair style so I don't upset the stylist, or hurt their feelings. I literally cried while getting my hair done. Sobbed! And when I asked for a partial refund, they said I "looked happy when I left." Ok. Sure. I was there for hours. she told me we'd be done by 3:40, I left at 4:20. I'm so tired of being placed with someone who doesn't have extensive experience with all hair types. I do not recommend at all did not get the color I wanted and you would figure after a 200 tab you could at least get a color you want. The stylist / colorist did not know what she was doing. Before I became a customer I did not have a regular hair dresser and got it cut whenever/wherever. Now I only go to Fade because I know I'm going to get a quality cut every time. The atmosphere and the people can't be beat! I've seen two barbers in my time as a customer at Fade. Despite the casual nature of the building, both have conducted themselves with the highest professionalism to deliver a quality cut every time. I can't recommend Brent enough, every haircut I have received from him is approached from the standpoint of a master practicing his art. My husband and I both go here. It was critical for me to find a for him to try as he is very picky and has convinced himself that only his mother can cut his hair correctly. Kelsey did a great job using both the electric and hand clippers. She took her time, showing great attention to detail. She obviously wants her customers to walk away happy. I definitely did! Just got home from having my hair done today and WOW again! First of all you will think you have stepped into a trendy hip shop in Seattle on Puget Sound. If you have ever been to Seattle you will know what I'm talking about. If you haven't been to Seattle then go NOW! My daughter took me for Mother's day the first time after many, many years of neglect and big box haircuts. I have been 3 times now and every time I think my hair is the best it can be (color and cut) the girls of Fade prove me wrong. At 52, I have the best looking hair of my life and Lindsey found it for me.You would not be going wrong with any of the girls though as they are all talented and do impressive work. They have a line of hair care and skin lotions that are off the hook. Do not miss trying the Freya scent line. Seriously, the whole Ogle line is addictive in a good way. read more

I took my granddaughter to Fade Salon. She was visiting here from Michigan. She was excited because it would be her first time to have her hair colored. She had been calling around town to see what it would cost her, because my granddaughters spending money was very short. The only way she could do this was because of receiving Christmas money. Everyone else she spoke to, told her it would cost around $65. However, no one else could work her in on a short notice. So, we went to Fade. The lady applied one color. Her hair was not quite down to her shoulders. When finished,she was charged $100. As far as I'm concerned, that price was ridiculous. I think she was charged that amount because she had been talking about getting $100 for Christmas. It made me to angry to know my granddaughter was crying, and she felt taken by the hairdresser, because it was all she had. She had already made some special plans with some old friends but had to cancel them thanks to Fade. So, I went back in and tried to get some of her money back, but they wouldn't give her anything back. I did tell the owner that she had named her business by the right name and that maybe it would fade away. My heart still breaks when I see how hard my granddaughter has had to work for every little thing she has needed. Unlike some others that can buy things that they just want. If I could, I'd help her out myself. I would never recommend this place!!!!! My granddaughter has never had her hair done since. So sad.
