I make an appointment online. Attempt to reschedule online 2 hours 5 minutes prior. Website says changes can be made 2 hours prior. Website doesn't allow it. I call & he nicely reschedules. Day of appointment.....I don't live in Sac but am here on business often. I put the address in the navi. Navi takes me to an area with only houses. I call. Takes 3 tries for him to answer. When he finally does, he says I should have come to W El Camino, not El Camino. I ask which direction to go & hang up. Get to W El Camino, no barber shop. I call repeatedly, no answer. El Camino is a busy street, so u can't slow down & see addresses. I google & the address says El Camino, not W El Camino. I go back, finally spot this little place. At this point, I'm 30 mins late. I walk in & sit down-zero acknowledgement. He proceeds to cut a girl's hair. A man who is clearly is friend (asks about a recent move & how he wanted to help then showed off renovations) walks in & after he finishes the girl, he finally asks what service I'm here for. I say I'm the lost one. He says , oh you're very late, he (friend) has a 6pm appointment. Mind you, if that's true, friend was late (walked in 615) too. Reason I doubt he had an appointment is the smirk & wink they gave each other when he said he had an appointment. Then he another of his friend's pops up & he takes him! This barber is rude & cocky. His shop is a chaotic mess. Only stayed as long as I did because I had zero time in my schedule to go somewhere else within the next week. Then 2 more walk in right after he tells me I'm next! I....not him...ask if they have appointments. He then asks them. They say they do. He shrugs & says welp. Help me understand why he didn't know he had an appointment and let me sit there when there are two people scheduled at 7? How do two people have one 7pm appointment??? This *insert expletive* is a shady, unorganized mess. Skills don't mean a thing if your service sucks. Another thing I observed-a woman comes in with her kid & she clearly wanted him to cut his hair. He calls out an 80ish year old man to cut his hair. Been going to barbers for 30+ years & I can tell you this elderly gentleman no longer had skills. Poor kid & it was his 1st haircut. I'm glad I walked out and didn't see what I'm sure will turn out to be a really bad first haircut for that kid. Btw, he answers one of his questions on here saying "don't believe a few haters who I told to make an appointment." No hater here. It's very obvious the way you treated me and the woman with her child that you only care to be courteous to the clients you know. UPDATE: Probably revenge for this review, he marked me as a no show & charged my card. You cant show up & be a no show especially when i called repeatedly asking for help with directions. I've been getting haircuts at fade masters barber shop by Anthony for about 2 months now. I travel from Manteca, it's a little over an hour drive. That's how fire the fades are! I have a full grown beard that usually makes beginner to intermediate barbers nervous & you can tell as soon as they start to get the clippers near your face! Not Anthony though! This guy has the confidence all barbers need! 5 stars for every hair cut and beard shape up I have had here, his haircuts are worth the 65mile drive and well worth the money! Okay let me start off by saying that this haircut was one of the cleanest I've had besides my barber back home. My experience with Anthony was a quick and very clean. Not to mention that I was 20 minutes late because of a lyft driver and he still cut my hair. BUT doesn't mean you could show up late, this was a one time thing because he wasn't backed up. My brother got hairline stuff and his coat was 40$ and lasted 30, but my haircut was a simple trim and it lasted 10 minutes and the price was the same 40$. I'm not sure who i just talked to on the phone. But i asked if they do walk ins or if i have to set an appointment. He gave me a quick response saying something or other and i said "I'm sorry, what was that?" And he had already hung up. Obviously he will be fine without my business. But i get my fade done weekly and am very loyal to one spot when i find a good place(just moved to this area). But i don't understand why he would intentionally be rude almost daring me to go elsewhere. Why turn away potential long term customers like that? My brother found this place on Yelp and had been raving me to about it ever since so I'm doing this review for the services he got at Fade Masters. Anthony, the owner and the sole barber, runs a one-man show that guarantees consistent quality cut every time you come. I really like the variety of fades and styling you can do here and the owner is very knowledgable so you can consult with him too. A fade cut is $20 ($25 for the super creative styling), and you should make an appointment beforehand (text/call). He's personable and easygoing so none of that awkwardly serious vibe that barbershop sometimes has. For the ladies waiting for their sons or brothers or boyfriends, you can do it like I do and go to Thrift Town to kill time. We usually park our car in the lot where Thrift Town is anyway although there is parking in the back of the shop. read more

I'll preface with the fact that this cut took place late in the evening, about an hour before they closed. The barbers were jovial and willing to dedicate the time to the cut. I felt that they truly deserved the extra $10 I threw in, because of how last minute the cut was. I got home and inspected the cut a little closer and found that it was wildly fucked up. It was completely uneven. The top left part of my head was about 2cm and the back right was about 1inch in length. The only reason that the guy was able to pull off this cut and have me not notice immediately was because he was trying his hardest to rush me out so that he could watch Barber Battles with Cedric the fuckin entertainer. Went here based on a review by Kira B. So glad we made the drive over. Anthony is meticulous. Definitely not a chop shop. I didn't really know what I wanted aside from knowing that I needed the cowlick on my son's head addressed. He took his time and was great with my three-year-old. I wish the drive to here wasn't so long but Anthony's skill is worth the extra time in the car. He is so popular now that he has to take appointments.
