Great skatepark for rollerbladers, but for BMXing i find its a let down. Large ramps and half pipes. Cannot quite rememberr where in Dundee it is but i think we found it very hard to find even with directions printed out. Sometimes there are good competitions on and other events. read more

This skatepark is arguably one of the top 5 skateparks in Scotland. It is a decent sized park with some moveable ramps. There is room for loads of lines to be made on all disciplines. They have loads of hire equipment available for all sizes. Only downside to this park is there is far too many young people on scooters who do not understand skate park rules (both written and unwritten) there is sessions that are made specifically for scooters and sessions for beginners, which personally I feel should be just for young people only and other sessions made for older people with more awareness. It's a danger to the young people. The best times to go would be when school kids are still in school...there has been many a time where I have had a 2 hour session to myself during the weekday. The price is very good and it's cheap to hire the equipment too. Out with the skatepark there is a nice cafe upstairs with access to a viewing gallery. There is lots of after school clubs both on the park and off the park, when schools are off on holiday there is many things for kids to do like week long coaching, movie days, cinema days, arts and crafts, the list goes on. read more

I really liked the new layout that was completed in early 2015 and had been going pretty regularly since I started at school in fall 2014. The staff is usually pretty helpful and friendly, but for a place that received government support from the lottery, I'd expect a pretty tight ship. Last night I was not given a receipt when I paid for two hours as a nonmember. When they shut down the park after only an hour, the cashier told me he only charged me for one (at £4.50 for nonmembers like me) even though he only gave me £1 back from my £10 note. I remember because I asked him about lockers when I looked at the £1 coin he gave me, since they are about that price. When I asked him if he had any record of my transaction from an hour prior, he was conveniently unable to produce one. He did not give me a receipt when I paid, and I didn't think to ask, since he gave me the proper change for two hours. While I usually really enjoy the park, I can't risk losing money like that. As a student, I literally have to make every pound count. Instead, I will be going to the Dudhope skatepark, which is free and closer to the city center. When the weather is bad, I guess I'll be catching up on my reading... What I'm really disappointed in is The Factory's sketchy business practices around not giving receipts as a standard practice and employees who cannot be trusted. read more
