It is just a thing they do, but keep in mind, it is a social event for yourself, to get out, spend your husband's money. My wife works hard and loves to visit this shop and the others in town with her friends. Keeping money local also helps keep money out of big corps, direct to our citizens who dare to open a shop, often with fingers crossed? We were just down the street having lunch, and afterwards we went to the Boot Barn. We were promptly greeted by a very nice young lady that was more than happy to help us find some boots that would make him happy! She showed us quite a few pairs and of course he didn't know which he liked best out of all he looked at. So after some coaxing he finally settled on a pair that stood out for him! We got them a size bigger than needed because he's growing pretty fast. After that I asked him if his belt still fit and of course he said he didn't know where it was!!! Typical. So now we were in search of the perfect belt! He tried the first one on and it looked small so we tried some a couple of sizes bigger. All of the sudden they were too big. Them I noticed where he was trying it on at, v and it was way too high! I went back to the first belt he picked because the buckle had a revolver on it he really liked and besides that the cylinder in the revolver actually spun like a real revolver! Pretty cool! They didn't have nothing like that when I was a kid!! So now we had our act together and final made it to check out after looking around the store at hats and jeans, and other stuff. It's a really nice store for Western wear and have all kinds of different brands of everything! Stetson and American Hat Company hats, Boots of all makes, Wrangler, and Carhartt clothing. They were very helpful in getting us fixed up and would much rather come here than drive to Beaumont!
