I've been waiting all decade (lol) to finally get a facial by Bonnie now that I am vaccinated. Everyone in my family goes to Bonnie for facials. Before I ever lived in NY, I heard about how Bonnie gives "the best facials in existence" from my entire family. No surprise that she has all 5 star reviews on Yelp. The experience was somehow even better than anticipated. Bonnie is a real master of her craft. She can and will restore even the most inflamed irritates and stressed out skin. She has all the knowledge and training of from her years working in dermatology, her expertise is clear, but so is her CARE. She cares for her clients and their skin. Also she is so kind and sweet. We did a deep cleaning (because my skin needed it!) A peel and LED light therapy. With Blue and red light. The Blue kills the bacteria and red heals the skin and its anti aging, but with one treatment you get a nice glow. While I don't care much about having a tan, I do value the bacteria zapping benefits and found the warm light to be very relaxing. Can't tell you how bad my skin has been due to stress and masks etc., It feels really wonderful to have my skin deeply and thoroughly cleaned by a professional. Not only does my skin feel and look better, I feel more relaxed. Bonnie also gave me tips to improve my skin care regimen, let me know my current moisturizer is clogging my pores, but suggested a few to try and even wrote out a very helpful post-facial care summary for me! Bonnie was so lovely and so careful. She had a mask and visor on, every patient completes a COVID safety form *before* their appointment and theres plenty of hand sanitizer and extra masks when you get there. I had a few painful ear pimples from mask wearing and Bonnie got them (without me having to she did cleaned every zit behind my ears under my chin on along my hairline). She also gave me a clean mask to wear home! Bring an extra mask so you don't have to put your dirty mask on your newly cleaned face! She does have plenty extra in case you forget. I know times are stressful and tough right now, but if you've been thinking about prioritizing your self-care and skincare, I couldn't recommend Bonnie enough! read more

All I can say is WOW! I confessed to Bonnie I've never had a solid skincare routine and I used to struggle with acne. Currently I felt as though all my pores, every single one was clogged and I was getting cystic acne here and there. So we did the deep cleaning facial. Bonnie advised that the beginning of the facial that the extraction portion might not be the most pleasant. Yet she was so careful and so precise that honestly I found it relaxing. She was extremely thorough and really took the time to clean out my pores. She did a peel and some other lovely facial treatments and then a nice long session under a warm light where I fell asleep. It was SO relaxing! I can't wait for my next appointment in March, and I can totally see why you have to book so far in advance! Also to note, Bonnie didn't try to push any products on me. Quite the opposite, I asked her what I would need to have a solid routine and she started at the most basic level. Her philosophy was not to overwhelm but to give me a routine I could handle and keep up with. It was me who asked for more. I really appreciated that, she genuinely cares about her clients. Not to sound like a huge creep but whenever I use the gentle cleanser it smells like the products used during my appointment and it instantly relaxes me and makes me excited to do the routine of products. Within 4 months of visiting Danae every 2-3 weeks, along with some lifestyle modifications, I was able to clear up a severe case of cystic acne. It's been many months since my last visit with her; I've been following her recommendations since then and my skin has remained clear. I've struggled with cystic acne for 12+ years, and was only able to clear my skin in 2019 by visiting an esthetician on the west coast who recommended (among other things) eliminating gluten from my diet. Removing gluten was the only thing that had ever, and has ever, worked for me. Facials by Bonnie are the only other estheticians I've come across who take such a holistic and long-term effective approach to severe acne, which I can testify truly works! I came to Danae late last year after months of indulging in gluten, and my skin was in bad shape. Even though I had started to fix my diet, I had a lot of cystic acne that wasn't clearing up and worsening by the day. She made a plan for regular facials, a non-clogging skincare routine, and encouraged me to keep off gluten along with some other lifestyle changes. This was my second appointment with Bonnie and you can really see the improvement after the last time. You always have to go through the annoying post-extraction phase but then end up receiving many compliments on your skin! Bonnie really does all the extractions and helps you get rid of your acne for the longterm by looking at your diet, skincare routine, and anything that might touch your face. Wow. Danae and Bonnie are amazing! I have awful hormonal acne. Have for a while. Well Danae is not like a normal esthetician. Before trying to get me to buy anything or do anything to advised me to speak to my dr about my birth control as she knew that my bc was giving me too much of a certain hormone. I was hesitant since I had been on it for a while but asked my dr if I could try to go off. The dr said "well yeah of course you have acne this BC is very known to cause hormonal acne." 1 month off bc my acne cleared. 2 months off and my skin is only getting better. Bonnie is a miracle worker, truly. I went to see her in June after I went off Spironolactone (which I'd been taking for my skin). I had a flare up of bad breakouts that were making me feel really self conscious and topicals like retin-a were doing nothing besides making my skin angry. I was frustrated. "I told you so..." My journey with Bonnie began in 2018 for moderate nodulocystic acne. Prior to that, I had been going to a dermatologist who just kept prescribing me antibiotics for YEARS and giving me cortisone shots. After horrible side effects from the antibiotics and the inability to go on Accutane/Spironolactone/OCPs due to plans for conceiving, I desperately tried to find an esthetician to see if that would help my skin. I saw one esthetician (Bonnie) who had consistent 5 star reviews and decided to take a chance. I booked an appointment with Bonnie, and it was the best decision of my life. Bonnie is the sweetest, most genuine and kind soul, and she helped clear my skin within 3 months. I then got pregnant and started getting breakthrough hormonal acne in my first trimester, but Bonnie worked so diligently with me and helped save my skin! By the time my baby was born, my skin was so clear and I was only getting the rare occasional breakouts and requiring less frequent maintenance facials. Then came Covid and messed things up big time. As a healthcare worker under a lot of stress, my acne got worse again and I was unable to schedule appointments anywhere. In the summer of 2020 when things started slowly improving and offices were starting to reopen, I decided to go to a local esthetician in NJ (which was the worst decision ever). I wasn't impressed by her at all and felt she was dragging out the process. It took more than 6 months for my skin to finally clear up and she had me on quite a harsh regimen. My own mother asked why I wasn't going back to Bonnie, and I replied that it was too far and inconvenient going to NYC and she's always fully booked. I wish I had listened to my mom! I then got pregnant with my second child in 2021 and my skin did well initially, but then I had the WORST (severe nodulocystic) acne flare of my life during my third trimester despite facials almost every 2 weeks (with the other esthetician; not Bonnie). I felt so hopeless and miserable. I had to go to a dermatologist and get cortisone shots (something I hadn't required for years). I even tried getting a second opinion and going to another esthetician in NJ but she was too scared to even touch my face/acne. I decided to reach out to Bonnie again. She was fully booked but genuinely wanted to help. I ended up having my baby and a few weeks later, I finally got an appointment with Bonnie! I can't believe I never wrote a review! In 2013, I started getting bad acne all over my forehead. Over the year, it started going away on my forehead, but migrated down to my cheeks. They got worse and worse. They were deep, big, and painful. As I was getting ready for my wedding in 2015, I was desperate for my face to look better! I started seeing an aesthetician, dermatologist, and even my doctor. Nothing helped. I decided I need to splurge and spend money on a proper aesthetician (vs. getting Groupons for facials that did nothing). I kept seeing raving reviews for Bonnie (plus her office was right near my place) so I decided to go for it and see her. I started seeing her in April 2015 one month before my wedding. My face was full of cystic acne and scars. After only two treatments, she cleared up a lot of my face! I only had one or two pimples by the time my wedding came around, but with the makeup, my face looked really clear. Besides being a boss at her job, she was so kind and told me I should've called her sooner and that she would've came to work earlier or stayed later for me. She really cares! I made an appointment with Bonnie based on the excellent Yelp reviews I saw. I was lucky to get in from a cancellation but I recommend booking wayyyy in advance if you want to see Bonnie specifically. She was punctual and started the appointment immediately and I felt the room was clean and Covid protocols were in place. She was thorough, asking me about my skin history and getting all the details down. She explained every step to me and answered all my questions. Ill admit, the extractions were not the most pleasant (when are they ever?!) but Bonnie was great at distracting me by asking questions and was very personable. She takes here time and it doesn't feel rushed. She gave a great after facial rundown and I definitely noticed a glow a few days post facial. If it's your first time, don't make an appointment right before a special event or something as your skin may take a bit of time to recover/heal before you get the full glow. While we are early in her treatments to be able to comment on long-term results, I can already see that my daughter's face is a lot less "active" and inflamed. Bonnie is very sweet, and skilled in cleaning prone-acne skin. I have visited Bonnie few times and my skin got a lot cleaner. The facials that putting layers over skin do not require any skills, but extraction does. It's very difficult to find an esthetician who knows how to do extraction well. Although extraction hurts, this is the only way to fix adult acne in my opinion. I have tried so many skin products, but it was wrong route. Don't waste your money on expensive skincare, just see Bonnie to get your skin cleared first, then even cheap skincare product will make your skin glowing. read more

Bonnie really knows skin. I tend to run dry and in the summer I get the most annoying whiteheads! Most facialists won't even touch them but there's no task to big for Bonnie. Whiteheads are her territory. She introduced me to my first peel a few months ago and while I was apprehensive at first, I could see right away she knew what she was doing. I've had many facials in the past with no commitment to anyone in particular, but I keep coming back to Bonnie because my skin has never looked better She's a total professional and total sweetheart. I have been seeing Bonnie for almost 4 years - my skin has never looked better. To the point where I prefer going makeup free on the weekends (I never thought'd I say that) and have switched to a BB cream instead of a foundation for my work week face. I was fortunate enough to see Bonnie monthly prior to getting married in 2018 - and my skin was glowing on my wedding day. I now see Bonnie about every 8-12 weeks, and always always look forward to how healthy my skin will look the week after my appointment. Bonnie's pricing is incredibly fair -- I've paid for random cheap facials in the past and have never had any sort of result. Truth be told I'd pay whatever Bonnie charges ... she's that good. It's worth noting if you've got problem skin you'll likely leave her looking worse than when you went in -- so don't make plans. And you'll likely have small scabs where your extractions were (she gives a cleansing routine & product to use)... mine tend to go away in 4-6 days. I always try to get a facial with her 2 weeks prior to an important event. She'll recommend products -- even if she doesn't sell them. She genuinely wants you to have your best skin. I also appreciate that she isn't into over trendy products or treatments -- she's into what works. Im not sure where to start so I will just say that if you are reading this and considering where your money will be best spent on a facial, GO TO BONNIE. Seriously. I am the sort of person who wants amazing skin, doesnt have it, isnt rich and over analyzes everything. I read countless reviews before just deciding to try Bonnie. It was the best decision I made. My skin was in terrible condition after not taking care of it for over a year. Bonnie adjusted my treatment in all the perfect ways to get me the best result possilble. She spent forever on extractions and didnt leave me inflamed or infected, shes an extraction PRO. Then she used a glycolic peel to really get at all of the impurities in my skin. She did a lot of other stuff as well so that when we were finished my skin looked amazing. The best part? Over the last 5 days I have noticed it getting even better! I havent even been able to tell you yet how sweet Bonnie is. We talked throughout and it felt like I was having a chat with an old friend. I tend to break out when I'm stressed out and when the weather starts to change, and I finally decided to do something about it by going to Bonnie to get a deep cleaning facial. I ended up being really happy with this decision because the experience was both relaxing and productive (meaning she got a bunch of gunk out of my skin!), which is a hard combination to find in a facial! To start out, she was so friendly and incredibly thorough, really getting to know me, my routine, and my concerns. The extractions were pretty painless, and she did a lot of work on my forehead and nose, as I had requested. Near the end, she spent a really long time massaging around my eyes because she noticed that I had a lot of tension there, which I really appreciated. I wasn't too red afterwards, but I had a couple of large pimples that she had removed that she said might scab in the next day or so. Other than that, I looked pretty great! My skin felt wonderfully smooth in the days after my appointment, and my pores were much smaller. A few weeks later, my skin is still doing really well (a very unusual thing in the June humidity!). She had some good recommendations for keeping my skin on track (using a less abrasive facial scrub, witch hazel as a toner, and a sample of acne gel that she gave me for any new zits that pop up, which is absolutely incredible and dries them up in 2 days!). A few days after the visit I want to write a review. Bonnie wonderful specialist. She's not one of those who want to earn from you and she really professional. My English is poor but she understood my problems and gave me a free sample. So I myself asked her recommendations for my skin, and she advised me cream for the care and I'm glad. I have not used before cream for protection from ultraviolet radiation because they were making my skin more oily. But I tried the sampler which she gave me and oh god I love cream now .I will be back. Thank you . read more
