This was my first time ever receiving services at this spa, and unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience.
I arrived a few minutes early for my appointment and checked in at the front desk. The receptionist told me, "You're a little early, so just have a seat," in a very rude tone. I waited another 15 minutes before she returned and asked me to fill out paperwork. I couldn't help but wonder why I wasn't given the paperwork while I was waiting in the first place.
My appointment was scheduled for 3:45 PM, but the esthetician continued talking with other clients for about 10 minutes before bringing me back shortly after 4:00 PM. When I entered the room, the lights were bright, not dimmed and the music was loud, definitely not the relaxing spa environment I expected or have received in the past at other places.
She asked what products I used on my face and gave me a judgmental look when I told her, as if they weren't good enough. She immediately began pushing expensive services. I asked if I needed to remove my shirt since most spas provide a wrap or robe, but instead she only placed a thin plastic drape over me.
Throughout the appointment, she focused more on selling services than providing a facial. She cleansed my face, applied a chemical peel for what felt like only a few seconds, and then used a hydro machine for about 10 minutes. During this time, someone entered the room and said her next client was ready, and she replied that she just needed to put moisturizer on me.
At that point, I realized this was all the service I was going to receive. I was finished and out of the spa by 4:25 PM. She did not even spend a full 30 minutes on my facial, which my husband paid over $100 for.
Overall, this was a very disappointing experience and not at all what I would expect from a spa. Unfortunately, it was awful from start to finish. read more
