My first visit to Faces Etc/Huntington Academy of Permanent Cosmetics was back in 2013. My good friend Kellyann was a student and asked me to be her model for the day. I had done permanent makeup in the past so I agreed. I've been going ever since. This place rocks. Karen did my eyeliner, eyebrows and even a full lip procedure on me. Amazing! When it was time for a touch up our schedules were off. Karen recommended her son Jeff Becker. She said he was a very skilled and talented permanent makeup artist. Permanent make-up is very serious. You are trusting someone with your face! Jeff is the best. The office is super clean and well decorated. It is way more day spa feeling and absolutely nothing like a tattoo parlor. Before the tattoo he numbs the area with a topical cream. I wish my body tattoos had that! Jeff plays cool relaxing music like Jack Johnson to keep the mellow mood. You are laid back on a massage table. Jeff really takes him time to ensure accuracy and precision. The most unnerving part is the sound of the tattoo machine's buzz. Why hasn't anyone invented a silent tattoo machine or dentist drill? I will admit that I was pretty afraid before I arrived. Jeff really makes you feel safe and that you are in good hands. I got my eyebrows done, goodbye drawing them in daily, and eyeliner on top of my lid, goodbye eyeliner application! I am very happy with my results. You have a follow up appt. shortly after the original for any touch ups or tweaks needed. I sent my mom and my sister to Jeff. My mom got brows, liner and lips! She feels like it was a life changer! At 72, her eyebrows and lip color were completely washed out if not almost disappeared. She now feels like she wakes up ready to go anywhere without make-up. My sister got brows and lips. I have referred family and friends since. I returned a year later for a refresh. Now, it has been a year since then. Jeff Becker has been my permanent makeup professional for almost 20 years, and has done everything for me, including eyebrows and annual eyebrow touch-ups, eyeliner (wedged with wing tips, which takes a great deal of precision and aesthetic skill), as well as full lip tattoos.
