I have tried twice in the past to do it at home I have the custom trays and all. I usually only lasted a few days 2mwith at home as with each application my teeth became more and more sensitive. The dentist said that in office whitening is 10 time worse for pain in cases like mine. My theory is that I would prefer one day of intense pain vs days and days of wearing trays and having pain. I googled teeth whitening and one of the options that came up was Glitz. I read all the info on the sight and decided to make an appointment. I had a cleaning in the 7th so I booked my whitening session for the 11th figured it was best to start with the cleanest teeth possible. Also when I booked my teeth whitening I decided I would try the Hydration Station and booked a combo package. When I arrived the studio was bright an spacious. If I didn't actually walk down stairs I wouldn't have guessed this was a basement of an low rise office building. I was given my waivers to read and sign and whisked into the lounge where I would complete my whitening. The procedure was explained to me and I was told it would be done in 2 15 min sessions so that if I did have any discomfort I could choose not to do session #2. During session one I felt no pain just a slight tingling on my gums which happens with Crest strips or gel in trays. At 15 min we evaluated my progress and I continued with the final session. The lounge chairs are very comfy. There is a TV in the room to watch shows/movies but it was hard to see with the protective eyewear so I just laid back an enjoyed the quiet. I was taken to the room with the Hydration Station and again everything was explained to me. I have NO idea why I wanted to try this as I don't like heat. I don't go into saunas or steam rooms but I was intrigued. I found this to be enjoyable. I think b/c my face was free from the heat and steam I was able to enjoy the benefits. That is generally why I avoid the steam rooms at spas etc as I like to breath freely. At home I don't even enjoy a steamy bathroom I leave the door WIDE open. Anyway my 30 min session was over before a knew it and I felt a lil sad. I even turned up the heat in the last 10 min as I was enjoying it! I was told that depending on my eating and drinking habits my whitening could be redone in 3-6 months. I think I will come every 6 months after my dental cleanings just like I did this time. However I will be back for the Hydration Station before that!

I managed to get an appointment here but the person who was supposed to do my lashes had an emergency and I was basically being cancelled on again. Then Heather saved me! Heather stayed after normal hours for me (!!) and my lashes looked and felt great afterwards. I went out that night to so many compliments and they've held up great since that appointment. I am happy I ended up being cancelled on in the end. It worked out better for me and I can't wait to go back.

I have been going to Mimosa since they opened in March 2010 and have experienced several exceptional services - pedicure, facial, manicure, and waxing to name a few. All of the staff are professionally trained and extremely knowledgeable of all the services offered. I had returned from a 4 month trip to a more humid climate (let's be honest, it is hard to go somewhere that isn't more humid then Edmonton) and was having trouble with breakouts on my face - I didn't know which facial would be best. But I didn't need to worry as the owner was able to tailor a facial specifically to my needs. I was very impressed with the results and feel that helped my skin adjust overall to being back in Edmonton. My favorite service is the pedicure. You can select between several options - I generally go with the Express Pedicure and then every once in a while spoil myself and splurge on the Signature Pedicure. They have the big relaxing massage chairs so the whole time your feet and lower legs are being pampered you can also be enjoying a back and neck massage. Mimosa also offer a membership for regular visitors - the membership has several benefits including discounts on all services so I think it is worth it even if you only go a couple times in a year. I love Mimosa and will continue to return regularly. I have also referred family and friends and they have all had the same wonderful experience as I do.

One came back only because she had to move and this place was where her old clients were. She is now getting mental health from there. I personally am getting mental health help from the trauma I had received from working there. If you had an issue that you would talk to the owner about, they threw it over their shoulder and do nothing about the many of the issues happening throughout my experience working there. Having my own salon now, clients from there have come to see me, only to be upset with the final service they were given from the salon. Good luck with your service at Epic. Not worth your time.

What's worse is I've been going there for years now and never had a men's haircut this terrible. I wish I could post a picture of what my hair looked like two days ago and what it looks like now. Just an update I got a call from the manager of the factory today and she explained to me that I should be happy I got a free terrible haircut. That I should not have been upset yesterday because my hair got butchered by Madison. Maybe the manager is right I should have been thankful for the resources I won't expend in that I can use less shampoo and conditioner. Thankful that I no longer need to spend time combing my hair as it is so short. Thankful my hair won't take as long to dry now. I tried claiming it but due to the issue with her number Sunlife Financial would not process my claim. I called the manager Scott to see what they had done for previous customers and he informed me that it should be fixed with in the week and to call him back then. I called him back a week later just to see the status of her registration number before I resubmit the claim, and Scott decided to comp my next massage to make up for it. I didn't even have to complain and he was willing to resolve the issue. I am quite impressed with their customer service and how the situation was handled. Scott was fantastic and I would recommend the spa to anyone.

Somewhere in those 3 hours I thought to myself I need to do this quarterly. When I checked out I booked another session in 3 months. It was one of the best facials I have ever had and I have had roo many to count. I really enjoyed being presented with the scents that were available upon my arrival. I had it narrowed down to three but decided to go with Gilded Wood's as I felt like it was a cozy kinda day. Can't wait to explore the other scents and services.
