The red hair girl working this evening (November 14 at 7 pm), Kelsey I believe, is an awful representative for the brand. My friend had an eyelash appointment earlier in the day and mentioned she wanted to get a spray tan later with a friend but we had an event and did not know when it would end. Taylor, booked us in for 6 pm and said that we could come anytime before 8 pm as that was the next appointment. Just before we showed up at 6:45 pm, the red hair girl called and said we are being charged a no show fee. At no point was this mentioned to my friend earlier in the day, especially since she told Taylor that we would be late. If this was the case, we would not have made the appointment. Upon arrival, the girl was cold and said that we could not get a spray tan this evening as the entire night was filled. She then spent the next 25 minutes trying to explain how a business worked in a condescending tone. After she repeatedly cut me off from speaking, I asked for her name, which she refused to provide. I then asked for the contact information of the manager or owner, which again she refused to provide. I then asked how I am supposed to make a complaint and she stated that I could not. My friend and I will not be returning to ANY Fabutan location after this experience. Her staff clearly provided the wrong information to my friend and all we were searching for was a solution, which she failed to provide. I will note that no one entered the spray tan booth for the 25 minutes that she wasted giving us a lecture on profits.

Lowlights which then came out orange (I'm not joking), which they did not seem apologetic about at all despite it being very different than the colour we had discussed before (chocolate brown, only a few shades darker than my natural colour). Charged me $180 + tip for something completely wrong. Second time I made an appointment for a quick cut a few days in advance. Once I showed up right on time, I sat there for 45 mins as they cut the hair of three walk-in's first. Beyond frustrating, why even allow appointments to be made if it's still going to be first come first serve? Never. Again. Go literally anywhere else with scissors.

I took a chance, something I rarely do with my hair, and walked into Chatters at the Aberdeen Mall. I was given an appointment with Michelle for a wash/cut/blowout. Michelle is originally from South Korea and is likely the most talented stylist I have ever gone to. She cut my hair with 3 stacked scissors like Edward Scissor hands haha (never seen this before and was initially a bit alarming) However this is the most precision hair cut and style I have ever had. I requested a trim, but she explained I needed more so trusted she knew what she was doing. I never write reviews, but Michelle deserves recognition. She should have her own salon. Her training in South Korea has benefited my hair in a huge way. First time ever that I left a salon and didn't want to go home and restyle it. Oh, and I always go to high end salons. This was likely the cheapest in price cut I have ever had too. She is a gem!! Thanks Michelle, I am enjoying my new cut!! I might have to fly back to Kamloops for future haircuts! I will miss you :)

If it wasn't such a good place and very close to home, I would have found another spa by now.
