Cute little corner cafe in Gamla Stan. If you take the train, turn right outside of the station and walk down towards the water. It'll take just a few minutes. There's seating inside and out. There are two steps and a handrail to get inside. However, there a side door that is barrier-free, but I *think* you need to get someone inside to open that door for you.
I was there around 3 pm on a Saturday, so they were pretty wiped out by then. There were fresh-squeezed drinks, and I had a refreshing lemonade. There were also coffees and teas and local sodas. Food-wise, there were some sandwiches left, bags of granola, and some breads and sweets. I bought a large salted chocolate cookie and a roll that looked a bit like ciabatta. (I didn't ask what they were, nor did I use Google Translate, I just went for it based on what littlei could make from the Swedish on the signs.)
The cookie had something else in it, maybe mocha. The roll tasted different from what I expected and dense. Even though I've been in Sweden for only a day so far, I've encountered several items that have quite different flavors from what I'm used to. Nothing wrong with this; you just need to be open to adventures and surprises.
The toilet is by the side door I mentioned earlier. A code is needed; get it from the staff. It's one room that is large and can easily accommodate a helper. Grab bars on the side of the toilet can be brought down for use. read more
