I had a couple of hours to spare, so I headed on over to check 'em out. Wow, this place is simply amazing! First, it is one of the largest independent fabric stores I've ever been to. The place was massive, and carried just about everything a person could need to fill their shelves (or their suitcase) with beautiful quilting cottons, notions, patterns, and all sorts of creative goodness. I was also blown away by their classroom in the back, and made a note to myself to maybe plan any future Tulsa visits to correspond with one of their classes or open sew sessions. (Hey, I can dream, can't I?) I wasn't able to buy much, since there was limited space in my carry-on, but I did find some really cute Oklahoma-themed fat quarters and yardage, and a few other small knick-knacks to remind me of this special place. If you're a sewiest and even remotely near this area, definitely stop by!

I searched uneasily for months trying to find the perfect quilt maker to turn 100s of my kid's tee…read moreshirts/sweatshirts (and even some speedos!) into 4 beautiful quilts. Sallie Marmie was the perfect choice. From start to finish, Sallie walked me through the process and helped with design, size and color choices. She made it a really positive experience. The quilts were Christmas gifts for my 4 children, but it was like Christmas for me each time one arrived! I can't put into words how thrilled I am at the outcome (as were my kids). Sallie didn't just stitch shirts into quilts...she very thoughtfully and with great artistry and attention to detail, took a variety of sport/club/activity memorabilia and turned them into beautiful quilts full of childhood memories. I can't tell you how happy I am that I found her and would highly recommend her.
