Specialties
Fabric8 Slipcovers specializes in custom, washable slipcovers for well-made sofas, sectionals, chairs, ottomans, chaise lounges, dining chairs, benches, and cushions. Each piece is measured and patterned individually for a tailored fit, with careful attention to fabric performance, comfort, durability, and long-term use.
We help homeowners, vacation property owners, and interior designers refresh quality furniture with a clean, updated, washable finish. Fabric samples can be brought to your home, and many slipcovers can be created without removing the furniture from your space. Additional services include cushion covers, cushion inserts, draperies, valances, bedding, headboards, and other custom soft furnishings.
Based in Southwest Florida, Fabric8 Slipcovers serves clients who want furniture to look better, function better, and age gracefully.
History
Established in 2011.
Fabric8 Slipcovers was established in 2011 after years of hands-on experience in alterations, upholstery, drapery, bedding, and custom soft furnishings. My background began in family workrooms, where I learned the importance of proper construction, fit, fabric knowledge, and professional finishing.
Over time, custom slipcovers became my specialty because they combine precision, problem-solving, comfort, and transformation. Today, Fabric8 Slipcovers creates custom washable slipcovers and soft furnishings for homeowners, vacation properties, and interior designers throughout Southwest Florida.
Meet the Business Owner: Lisa H.
I started sewing at 15 and quickly discovered how much I enjoyed working with fabric, construction, and fit. My professional training began in my mother’s alteration shop and continued in my aunt’s upholstery workroom in Naples, where I learned upholstery, drapery, bedding, and slipcover fabrication.
After more than 35 years in the sewing and soft furnishings industry, slipcovers became my specialty. I enjoy the precision, problem-solving, and transformation involved in creating a custom fit for each piece. As the owner of Fabric8 Slipcovers, I work directly with clients from fabric selection through final fitting, creating custom washable slipcovers and soft furnishings with careful attention to fit, comfort, and long-term durability.
