It is worse to hear the treatment includes chemo and you will lose your hair (including your beautiful highlights)! So to make a sad story end much better I went to Vincent at the Wig Gallery of Wethersfield. A thousand pounds was lifted off my shoulders as I walked into my private appointment and saw in front of me the best wigs I had ever seen in my life! Vincent knows his wigs! He knows quality and he totally knows how to help people in this dilemma . We found 2 wigs and within 15 minutes I realized which one was the one for me .. so natural... so my haircut .. so me!!! Wearing the wig made me feel normal. Wearing it to parties gave me confidence! People who have known me for years asked where I got my haircut? Vincent also helps you by explaining the care of the wig , demonstrating how to spritz it and offering to show you how to wash it when the time comes for that. Vincent has such compassion. So my advice...GO TO VINCENT!! Make a scary situation much better! YOU are worth it!

The salon is incredibly clean and looks great. Appointments are required which I understand can be difficult when trying to squeeze in a service but I do prefer that over a very crowded salon any day! They also always post last minute available appointments on their social media so it's not incredibly difficult to get in fast. In December, I scheduled a curly cut with Crystal. It was my first hair cut in a long time but it was the holidays and after a year of dealing with Long-COVID I needed to brush myself off and feel good. I thought I was going in for just a cut but ended up also leaving inspired and empowered. Crystal worked her magic on my hair without a doubt. The curls were flowing and more luscious than I ever seen them - I was in love every time I looked in the mirror! She gave me some tips on how to keep my hair healthy and looking great and I plan on coming back when I'm ready to lighten my hair. By that time, I'll also need a fresh cut and color and I can't wait. Great service without a doubt but her energy? Absolutely refreshing and one of a kind! Her confidence and happiness is palpable. I absolutely love her optimism and how she spoke about the importance about being your very best self rather than focusing on any negativity. Crystal was so incredibly welcoming it was easy to feel at ease. It felt like I was chatting with someone I'd known for a while instead of someone I had just met. I'll be booking with Crystal again and will make sure to post before and after photos!

They listened closely to what I wanted, made thoughtful suggestions, and somehow created a hairstyle that was even more beautiful than I imagined. I purchased clip-in extension which Jackie thoughtfully prepped and provided to me during my wash-and-set the day before (included in my pricing!). I received so many compliments throughout the day, a those who I haven't seen in a while had no clue I was even wearing extension. Jose listens to what I want, gives me his professional recommendations, and my hair always turns out absolutely perfect. He is kind and so much fun to be around - I look forward to all of my appointments! (Recently, we did a full send on bangs and WOW! Jose is the only person I could trust to make such a big transition seamless and absolutely stunning! I did some work in Mill Valley, CA and everyone wanted to know who does my hair... I have never gotten so many compliments than I have since booking with him!) The salon itself is also wonderful. Always clean, and the other stylists & clients are so friendly and also contribute to a great time, every time. The building is set back a little from the road, so you will see their sign/driveway before turning in and seeing the salon. Plenty of parking! 5/5 Stars - I definitely recommend Jose C. & Salon Social!

I didn't want to have to write a bad review, but upon reaching out to the owner and having no…read morefurther response than our initial conversation the day after the service, I feel like this is all that I can do. I went in for a spiral perm and left with a burned scalp and extremely damaged hair. I would just like to premise this by saying over the last 10 years I've had probably five perms, and I have never had my scalp burn, I never had my scalp full of scabs, I never had my hair break off in chunks. I originally reached out to the owner the day after the service to let her know what was going on. She offered to do a keratin treatment which I had already done myself plus had done two other times she came to the conclusion that her washing my hair too many times left it open to damage.... Which is bs. She let the permanent solution sit for over 25 mins because she lost power. As far as her "salon"? It's a tiny room that has way too many things packed into it. Not worth the amount of money I spent on a service. Never had to pay over 180 as well as a tip for a perm. Never had my hair fall out because of a hair service. I told the owner that I am very particular about my hair and nobody touches my hair unless they can prove that they've done this before. She showed pictures claiming she's done this before but the damage done my hair is irreversible. I have to cut off half the length of my hair to save what's left. After already cutting off 4 inches of it. I'm highly dissatisfied asked for my money back and received no response.

Awful, Inconsiderate and Incompetent! BE WARNED!!! My fiancé…read morewas referred to Linda for hair extensions, as she's a colleague of her current stylist so we figured we'd set up a consultation. First Issue! Even though the consultation was made for Saturday at 3:00pm, Linda completely forgot about the appointment, even going so far as asking "Why we're here?". After waiting 45 minutes for her to finish taking Instagram pictures, she looked at my fiancé's hair and gave us a price of $2,500, for the best quality hair available, etc and the installation appointment was made for the following Saturday. Second Issue! When we called, NOT Linda to confirm Saturday's appointment on Friday, we were told the hair has yet to come in. This was due in part to Linda forgetting to order the hair when she should've. This resulted in the installation day being changed to the following Tuesday. Third Issue! After the hair was installed, and I was ready to pay, the price went from $2,500 to $2,900, with the explanation being that she needed to use more hair. This was her mistake, as during the consultation she never said anything about possibly needing more hair or giving a price range. This seemeed to be a ploy to extract more money out of me as how would we know if more hair was used #1, and #2, if you were using more hair or had to use more hair, why wouldn't you tell your client during the installation? Now, when my fiancé had to get her hair colored and her extensions moved up, here's where the other problems lyed. 1.) The extension quality was NOT the quality as Linda claimed it to be! 2.) There were more extensions than needed, which caused damage to my fiancé's hair. 3.) Some of the extensions were so tight that it literally caused a noticeable bald spot, which as can be imagined has caused emotional stress. 4.) When the salon that re-did everything CORRECTLY was finished, the hair came out great and to our surprise, there was hair that wasn't installed, left over as it wasn't needed. Which means, the additional hair I was charged initially wasn't needed at all! I'm writing this review so others don't have to go through the emotional stress given by an incompetent hair dresser who's only clientele seems to come from word of mouth. It however, gives HONEYCOMB salon, where Linda works out of, in her little room a very bad name as one shouldn't be associated with this level of service or business practice. Embarrassing!
