I don't know what else was said, but about 20 minutes later, our doorbell rang. A sad looking, days-old flower arrangement was delivered to our house. It was in a very plain vase and the water was cloudy. Some of the flowers were already turning brown. It was an arrangement that you might pay $40 for at HEB, see picture attached.
