Mind you I bought this in hopes of earning some extra cash while I'm in college, we'll I took the pressure washer out to my first job that I drove 2 hours away for, started the pressure washer up and it immediately started rumbling and spreading out black smoke when I brought it back the workers tried to combat everything I said and assured this was my mistake. I spoke to the "managing partner" Donna Ruiz, and she just like her employees did not want to help instead wanted to push the blame on me. After several visits, I was greeted with friendliness and welcomed with smiles. Even after not being there for years I was nervous about going back in & once again I was treated with politeness. I've had to put some items there temporarily & pay on them monthly until I get back on my feet. Yes there is interest but it's a business. I've even bought a few reasonably priced items while there & put a few things on layaway. While I don't have much experience with any other pawn shops I don't see a reason to go to another one since I'm SO pleased with Cash America. My goal is to get back on my feet financially and retrieve my items & than drop in to purchase a few things like a cute purse!

Outside of CA, NY, and NJ I have never had this happen. I asked if this was a state law (I happen to know it's not) . The clerk said it was "company policy". What a load of BS. I was planning to make a purchase and have it shipped to my local FFL at home. EFF these guys! I will never set foot in another Cash America Pawn again! If this is how they treat potential customers, they should remove the "America" from their name, maybe "Cash Russia" or "Cash China" would be more appropriate.

The employees they have are hardly ever knowledgeable about the items they sale or would rarely buy any items you take because they honestly don't know if they could make a profit from it or not unless told directly from the manager. Even the managers themselves aren't to knowledgeable, I took a 10k gold necklace to see if I could get a loan until my checks and bill dates would correlate, I know prices in gold fluctuate so I checked what the rate was for the day and figured how much it would be just for it's weight. I had cut that price in half and that what was the amount I was going to get a loan for. I was there for about 30 to 45 minutes standing there while they kept testing it with their acid. They decided to pass on it, which I can respect but what I don't respect is being lied to. I asked could he tell me why he passed on it because I want to know if there's something wrong or funny with the necklace I paid a couple grand for from a reputable place. I was told by the manager himself that the acid test wasn't the right color but when asked to see the test drops ( which was just on the other side of the counter top) he said they already cleaned it off but I could clearly see them do the test and he did not have anything in his possession to clean the slate but I didn't argue because it would be pointless. He went on to tell me that it was most likely just gold plated because it was giving slight silver colors. I said ok thanks for the info then I left. Went to 2 other pawnshops and both were willing to give me the loan I asked for. I told them what I was told from this pawnshop, they made a weird face and kind of laughed about it saying "that guy doesn't know what he was talking about" Long story short, always get a second opinion and if you can avoid this place...I would highly advise it
