I work in Bakersfield a few times a month and drooped in to tan at this local salon. The staff is wonderful and very professional. The level two bed is so hot I couldn't stay in it for more than 2 minutes: given I tan 4 times a week in my home town and typically go in high end, high level beds. It was so hot to touch I immediately started to burn like I was on fire. I got out because the heat was not normal or bearable. I paid an over priced fee of $27 for a one time tan, that I could not use or enjoy. I explained this to the counter and was not offered a refund. I did not ask for one, however feel that it would've been the right thing to do. I feel that the owner does not put the right bulbs in the bed type and could absolutely end up being a liability if not looked at or corrected. read more

Found this gem while searching through Yelp for a place to tan in either a lay down or stand-up tanning bed. They also do spray tans here. I've never had one but I did take note of a gal before and after her spray tan here and she looked great. I chose the older stand up tanning bed and was surprised at how great of a color my skin produced after just one session. Staff is friendly, fast and helpful. It was a Tuesday evening and it was very busy but the gal at the front desk handled everyone with ease. They sell tanning lotions, jewelry, clothing, and cute hats! I was excited to try this place. Unfortunately my spray tan was horrible! Despite being told the tanner had 10 years experience. I had blotches and streaks everywhere! Some areas were sprayed some were not. The spray tan took MAYBE 2-4min if that! Maybe that was the problem, they compromise the quality with quantity of how many people they can fit in a day without actually doing a decent job. My knuckles had dark spots, my hands were orange. The list goes on. I had an event the next day so I didn't have time to call and get resprayed. Definitely will not be back. read more

A friend of mine made me try this place out because of the $20 spray tan Tuesdays! It's like taco Tuesday, BUT better!!! Spray tans last up to a week, make you look thinner, and you don't wake up with a head ache! I first sent the owner a message on Yelp to confirm the Tuesday special, and she got back to me within 15 minutes! I booked my appointment with her and was totally surprised how fast she responded, and that she was able to fit me in her schedule. The shop is so cute with the colors and the shabby chic decor, I wanted everything in the waiting room in my home office. There are a few clothing pieces hanging on part of the wall that are for sale. Chelsie is the owner, who I learned had been working there since she was 15 years young, which made me feel really good because she has experience. I mean she looks about 20, but that's still about 5 years experience! She also told me that she just took over ownership, go Chelsie! She made me feel very comfortable and the salon was so inviting and so were the other women who were there, one of which is a veteran of the salon who has been coming to this salon for 3 years! They had nothing but good things to say about Chelsie and that made me feel even more comfortable. Chelsie took me to a room dedicated to spray tans, totally set up and hooked up for legit spray tan sessions! The lighting in there is all awesome so you get so see everything afterwards! The spray tan was a quick process, which I have been used to by now, but it wasn't as cold as it usually is for me. She asked if I wanted some shimmer drops but I declined and she told me the spray tan is a sugar smelling base, which I've never had before! My husband hates the smell of spray tans and he has not complained about my sugar scent today! SCORE! I've already told a couple of people who may also give this place a try. I have been going to EZ Tan consistently for over a year now, and I can honestly say I am never disappointed. Wither I am using the beds, getting a spray tan by Chelsie, or using her new Norvell spray booth. It is consistent every single time. I absolutely love the new Norvell Spray Booth, I tried it for the first time last week because Chelsie always does such an phenomenal job on my airbrush tan that I just could not bring myself to try the booth. But let me just say I wish I had tried it sooner because it made my skin look flawless and 8 days later I still have great color. So now I am going to bounce between the Norvell Spray Booth and Chelsie's airbrush tans. Because lets be honest, Chelsie always works her magic. The color from the spray booth or Chelsie is never orange. It is always beautiful and dark and sky rockets your confidence, and lets be honest makes you look thinner then when you are white as a ghost. Chelsie has 3 hour or 8 hour solutions, which is really nice if you have a special event and need a tan last minute. And on top of that, you never smell like tanning solution. Let's keep it 100: spray tanning options are limited in Bakersfield (particularly compared to similarly populated cities). For years, I've been a big VersaTan fan, since Mystic turns me bright orange and makes me feel like I'm dying in a coffin of spray tan. But in Bakersfield, if you want to do a VersaTan, you have to join Eurotan (which is eleventymilliondollars per tan)-- plus, the ET Versa machines are all older, outdated, and frequently malfunction. Thanks to Yelp, I found EZ Tan and tried out their Norvell machine. I've gone twice now (and got a sweet promo deal where two tans were relatively cheap when bought together). Everyone is super nice, the salon is very clean, and the machine is phenomenal. Honestly, that is the most intensely thorough machine spray tan I've ever had in my life. Even though EZ Tan is clear across town from my home in the southwest, this is definitely going to be my go to spot for my semi-regular sprays. I can't suggest it enough! read more

Just started going here but love this salon! There are standard beds that go 15 min and the medium beds go 12. The medium beds have the bronzing bulbs in them and help get you darker faster. The medium beds are so good! I can already tell a difference in my complexion. They also have a stand up bed that is higher powered than the medium bed. There are several beds and I never have to wait very long if at all to get into a bed. Chelsie is the owner and is super sweet and knows her stuff! Her assistant, Kaylee, is also wonderful!
