Initially, I did not plan to leave a review. However, after my recent interaction with the office on 2/17/2026 regarding my request for my x-rays, I feel it is necessary. I was a new patient in November 2025, and as of February 2026 my treatment had still not been submitted to my insurance for pre-authorization. Due to the continued delay, I decided to transfer my care to another office and requested that my x-rays be sent to me. I was informed there would be a $30 fee to release my x-rays. While I understand offices may have fee policies regarding records, given that I had been waiting for my treatment plan to be submitted without follow-through, I requested that the fee be waived. During that same call, I was told that my insurance had not paid for my exam and x-rays. The comment was communicated in a way that implied I was asking for something to be waived despite the office not having been paid. Which is a complete lie, I confirmed directly with my insurance, a payment of $208 had in fact been made on December 31, 2025. While I appreciate that my x-rays were eventually sent to my new provider, (my new provider had to contact them) I do not appreciate being given inaccurate information regarding my insurance or being made to feel as though my request was unreasonable. Professional offices should provide transparent, accurate, and respectful communication. read more

I absolutely adore this woman and feel terrible for accusing her coworker of something someone else did to my smile. I am so grateful she sat down with me to go over what was happening and explain the situation while comparing X-rays. She is going above and beyond for me as a tool has split in the canal of my gum. She is sending me to UCLA. Though UCLA and I have had some issues in the past regarding their Chinese stalker students, I'm hoping for the best this time. Right now, UCLA doesn't pick up the phone. However, the doctor did try to get me into USC. Unfortunately, this is not convenient with my schedule, and though I am in pain regarding the dental work, I hope she can be the one to resolve this. She truly cares about the underserved communities around her, and it is a shame not everyone in her field thinks the same way! Then if you asked them why the numbers changed they won't have a response. My twins got their braces here. Both of the boys had teeth growing across instead of down. She had to put a chain to pull the tooth in the right direction. It's been a bit complicated, but we are so grateful for this office. She's been very gracious with us. The staff feels like family & they are always full of plenty of customers. Would not recommend at all. They charge their patients much more than what they should. For procedures, they charge the insurance AND they charge you when they shouldn't be charging you. Unfortunately, this happened to my parents. They claim that the insurance does not cover certain procedures and then they charge you for it. When we called the insurance, they said that those procedures should be fully covered and that we should not have been charged by the dentist. We stopped coming here years ago, and it was a great decision! We also noticed that when we came in for certain procedures, the dentist always claimed that she had to do more procedures than what she initially told us. She ended up charging more for these "extra procedures" when we never agreed to them. read more

Have been seeing Dr Espinoza for the past 10 years. My kids love her and her staff. We moved further from office but still make the drive to get our teeth cleaned here. They are great all around. The dentist was very inexperienced and maybe is doing work that doesn't we'd to be done. She told me I needed to redo my root canal and buy a new crown which wasn't covered by insurance. This was wrong and I verified it with another dentist who showed me my X-rays. She also said I needed a filling on the wrong tooth. I went back to my dentist in San Diego to get the work done and found that everything they said was wrong and my dentist showed me my X-rays and what I needed. The dentist also hit the vein when she put the novacane shot in so I convulsed for 45 min from the epinephrine. Whenever I questioned her and asked her to show me on my X-ray what they were doing she was short and wouldn't tell me. The dentist working on me has the big bushy ponytail. I think she's a terrible dentist. Wish I could give 0 stars read more

I've been coming to EZ Smiles Dental for almost two years now and I've alwys had a pleasant experience (well- as pleasant as dentist visits can get, lol). Dr. Espinoza works quickly, gently, and does a great job. I've had regular cleaning and examinations done to over half a dozen cavities filled. (Ya, i know, i dont floss as good as i should.) My wife has also recently gotten some work done on her teeth. Dr. Espinoza was very understanding and patient w/ her situation to which we were both greatly thankful for. She's always looking out for my best interest. She has earned our confidence and trust in her as a dentist. The interior of the office is always clean and welcoming. Do not go there, worst dentist ever! They are all up for the money. Had my daughter on braces after that the dentist recommended retainers that breaks easily that way they could charge $300 every time and while you are on braces they will charge you $25 if one that holds one teeth brakes! For many years I went through life never cracking a smile. To ashamed to show anyone what my teeth looked like. I made an appointment with Dr. Espinoza due to some pain I wouldn't wish upon anyone. After she examined the few teeth left in my mouth we discussed every option available and finally agreed on full dentures. Only took a few visits to get the remaining teeth pulled and get the dentures cast and fitting perfectly. It's been 5 years now. I haven't stopped smiling since. She changed my life. The best dentist in town. I was going to another dentist, which the process was taking forever. Thanks to Dr. Espinoza she took off my old braces placed new ones and in less then a year I got them off. It will be 1 year next month that she took off my braces and I'm very satisfied with my teeth. They are still very straight because of course I do where my retainers still. I had an appointment at 11:00 a.m. When I walked in the receptionists greeted me with a huge smile! The receptionist named Blanca (the owner) was so kind and sweet, she helped me fill out papers, and answered all my questions! First of all, I am one who is afraid and very very anxious about going to the Dentist. Just thinking about the Dentist frightens me and ruins my day. With that in mind, I have been looking for a Dentist that understands my anxiety and works with me to overcome this fear. I have finally found a Dentist that is nice, friendly, and super comforting! The front staff are nice but the staff that works in the back make faces and say stuff in spanish about their patients especially when the patient may seem to need a lot of work to do. By the way,not to mention, I not be hispanic or whatever but I do understand every single word they say because I do speak Spanish. So dissappointing. Then, the dentist refer patients to UCLA for which when you call them, they never pick up their phones. Little piece of advice, when you guys are on shift, try to avoid making faces.
