We really wanted to like Eyz Wide Shut. Once inside? Yikes. The vibe was more TSA checkpoint than sexy playground, complete with metal detectors and staff who made us feel like we were being processed for jury duty, not a night of wild fun. Now, about those infamous playrooms - Cleopatra suite, Wild West, Harem - sure, they sound sexy. But good luck getting inside. Every. Single. One. was locked. Just doors, no chains, no peeks. A whole lotta hype, and absolutely no access. They might as well be movie sets you only get to admire from the hallway. And don't even get me started on the fishbowl playroom. It's the one with the wraparound circular windows. You don't feel like a sexy centerfold in there. The business gets 2 out of 5 stars simply because the bar side isn't bad. The bar has a lot of floorspace, games, a nice smoking patio, (with a shortened-distance version of Cornhole) and some entertaining artwork. The bar side's bathrooms aren't ergonomically correct. In the mens room you'll find several stalls, and only one small sink. And it's claustrophobic between the stalls and this small sink. The security guard presence is excessive, and it makes you wonder what kind of nonsense must happen in the place to necessitate so many of them. I cannot comment on any food they may or may not have to offer. As for the "adult playroom" side of this business, I cannot give it even a single star. It is in major need of change. If you have never been to a "sex club" before, and you see this place, you might be tempted to think this is how one should be operated. If you're interested in finding a place that gets at least 4 stars, the only other one i've ever seen is called "Club Princeton" in Columbus, Ohio. This club is superior in every sense when compared to "EYZ". Its cleaner, it has fewer rules and rule enforcers, they do not allow creepy single guys in various parts of the club. "EYZ" says they have this rule, but it is only selectively enforced. Princeton is BYOB, allowing you to have alcohol in all areas of a club that combines the bar and adult themes into one cohesive experience. This makes having drinks much more affordable. Eyz has many rooms that have a rule of being quiet. Princeton allows adult guests to freely decide when to talk, laugh, sing, etc... there aren't staff members patrolling you telling you to keep it down. The security staff on the adult side were unpleasant at Eyz. They act annoyed to be working there, and arbitrarily decide which rules are important at what times, and when to close the establishment. I would not trust their website when it mentions hours of operation, as their workers may spontaneously decide to close earlier, offering you no refund. In summary, its okay to go here for the bar - but its not a five star bar by any stretch. Its just sad to go here for the adult part of the business and I would suggest Club Princeton in Columbus, Ohio as an alternative. read more

First I will say I usually only give reviews of places around the world I have stayed in. Not a night club or an adult playground club. I feel this one needs a honest review. Me and my wife are 2 very social people with professional careers, family and active members of our community and are not LS members and it was only our second time at a place like this. I say that cause this place is for everyone couples or swingers. That said the key word is "AWESOME" yes really. Every single person we met including the staff was great. From the security at the front door to the staff and bar maidens to all the members inside. Yes the security is strong but friendly and easy to get along with. (They are there to protect your privacy and right to enjoy) Plus great sense of humor. Made it especially very comfortable for first timers like me and my wife. We enjoyed the nightclub and the amenities in it from 7:30 to 11. DJ really kept the good vibes and fun going. Better than your regular nightclub around Tampa with everyone just getting drunk and rude or starting fights. We took the tour of the Playroom at 9:30 a definite must even if you are not going to use it. The Security guard that gave the tour was excellent. Funny personable and answered all questions. Explained everything in a friendly manner and made sure to note everyone have fun and be respectful of other. So when it came time to go to the other side and enjoy the playrooms we got there right at 11 to make sure we got a private room to start with. I am going to admit it I am a germophobe. Like I said I travel around the world. 4 star hotels are the lowest I stay in and right reviews for. This place looked and felt very clean. If you get there early you can smell the cleaning supplies on everything. That is a good thing. We tried out several private playrooms for the first part of our visit and found them super clean and allowed us to enjoy them fully. This was a totally new experience for us and left the shades open. 1. we didn't even notice if people were watching 2. everyone was super respectful and did not interrupt us. The next stop was the open areas, In the halls a little crowded as the night goes on but everyone makes room to get by easily and my wife love the attention and polite compliments on what she was wearing. Everyone was very friendly. Never felt worried at all. Great boost to my wife self esteem. In the open areas my wife who is very shy and doesn't like being the center of attention, really just didn't worry about things and enjoyed using the dungeon and especially the swing. I thought for sure she would freak out people standing around us and watching her. She just got right into it and moaned away. The next stop was the Couple room. By now my wife was leading the way and excited for the next stop. We started on one of the chairs in the middle of the room. She wanted to watch others while we played. Loved it and then eventually moved to a bed in front of the Voyeur window for the last hour or so we were there. We finally left after 4 1/2 hours in the playroom. Never once had a bad interaction or worried about people trying to join us or creepers. Definitely one of the best date nights in our marriage. AND yes we are already looking forward to going back next weekend. We love GLOW parties. I will add for couples that are confident in their marriage or relationship. We sat at the "bar" side, and that $90 paid for full access, my first and last time there at this place - We went to go onto the "other side" and were declined. We've been to many swingers clubs around the world and this is far from the best State laws may dictate some of the weird rules (we don't know) But single guys are restricted to one hallway of the play area and you have to "ask nicely" to be allowed in a room with a time limit imposed No cell phones ....... DJs play wedding music to create an extremely cheesy vibe which I assume is to cater to its outdated and much older crowd. Going through all reviews before giving it a try. Almost all reviews were all wrong seriously. Maybe people visited the wrong place though. Words are not enough to explain how I felt taking my Boss and his Wife there for a night. My boss was used to a Cashless Policy, getting there the first thing I saw was the option to cash out from the ATM That enough blew my bowels. Not to elongate my words. My advice to people visiting is always to read instructions and also always ask questions when in doubt I visited their website, it was all what was written and the videos and images were not photoshopped My boss and especially his wife was over joyous with the place I wish to get marry soon also. I can remember few places (I mean ROOMS) like the Asian suite, the Zebra Lounge, Seaside suite, Hedonism Suite, Lady Godiva Suite, the Dungeon suite and other rooms that I inspected myself so that my boss and his wife won't later blast me with words or fire me. The club was Ok. Expensive drinks though, in plastic cups. Bartender was nice enough, but not very friendly. There was no staff around, and no management. Seemed like three people running the whole place. There was no DJ--music Trac running. This place got one star, though, because you can't give 1/2 a star. The reason for the low rating was the terrible play area experience. The attendant (called himself "seven") was rude, sarcastic, and disrespectful. He made fun of the people on the tour, and generally was an ass. At closing time he rudely knocked on our door to get us to leave, and when we said we were getting dressed, he made a nasty comment. He should be fired. Now. This place could be a good lifestyle club, but not unless it is classed up a lot, and the owners pay attention to getting employees that will treat customers well. Have no idea where the previous reviewers went. This place was big, friendly and fun. Drinks before 10 are $4 and after 10 skyrocket to $5 or $6. The playrooms are kept clean and interesting. The crowd was between 30 and 50 for the most part. The owner was there and he was gregarious and friendly and sincerely desirous of making sure people enjoyed themselves. The bartenders gave us some useful tips and were very helpful. We came from Hawaii and California and were used to a little more playfulness and interaction and the couples here were a tad more reserved and plainly dressed. read more

It was kind of difficult to figure out how to rate this place. I have been here several times, so I hope I can sum up my experiences without missing anything. Pros- Fun place to go during event nights (they post their parties on lifestyle websites and I believe on their webpage). There is usually a much larger crowd, they raffle off prizes, the music is pretty good, and the themes are fun. They do a great job decorating for these nights. They have a pretty diverse spread of appetizers and food in the adjoining room in case you get the munchies :). The bartenders are really nice and pretty attentive. The "play" rooms are REALLY nice here. They keep them very clean and provide towels. If you utilize these rooms, be sure to tip the cleaning staff :). For the cons.... This place is really expensive. It's a bit cheaper if you get a membership, but it's still a bit steep (it's about 55 dollars with an annual membership and 70 without). Drinks are pricey as well.... I heard if you come early they are cheaper, but I have not done that yet. Also much of the liquor is bottom shelf which is no fun the next morning. To caveat, they do sell call and premium for a higher fee. I understand why this establishment needs to charge more (as I have been to many lifestyle bars), but this could definitely be a deterrent on those with "not so deep pocket" days many of us experience. Also, I have found that non-event days can be a bit boring.... Unfortunately you still pay the hefty price for a mediocre turnout :(. Bottomline is its a great place for event nights, has clean and luxurious playrooms, lots of liquor flowing, and good music.... Great if you are visiting Tampa or a resident, but cannot be low on cash (btw the bar is cash only) and dress up for the themes! It will make your time here so much fun :), definitely worth it too!!! Attended last night for the first time. Apparently there was a staffing issue so the bar and the front were extremely slow. I'm giving it 5 stars because of the DJ. He was very apologetic & helpful. It seemed like he was trying to accommodate all guests and keep everyone entertained while running around. Even after the power went out, he still found a way to keep people on the dance floor ! We agree that it's hard to rate this place. It's between three and four stars, but who doesn't like a sex club? So they get 4 - even though the name seems like copyright infringement, and something about the whole place is really reminiscent of the Pittsburgh bicycle museum. Went on a Saturday, and it wasn't really very busy. Other reviewers have fairly accurately described the setup. A somewhat campy bar and lounge area with pool tables and a buffet. Also, if you are the type of person that would eat at that buffet, we are never fooling around with you. Sorry. The bar side looks like an Elks club, so that's fun to think about. We were overdressed, but we made our own fun, inverting on the pole in our mini skirts. The people we talked to on the bar side were very nice, and there was one older lady in a thong who was keeping it super tight - you go girl! Regret not talking to her and her man friend about the meaning of life. We arrived pretty late, so we didn't get the tour of the lodging side, so stumbling into it was a bit like the club's namesake. We peeked in all the windows, and one of the single guys (God bless creepers - keep it up - we're glad you're out there) told us we could ask one of the security guards for access to the rooms. We went into the two big public rooms. One had a bunch of beds and couches and was dimly lit, and one was brightly lit and had a bunch of round, black beds. There were a lot more people in the lodging area than the bar area, and the three bears had differing opinions on what to do next. One of us wanted to go back to the bar and flirt with the cute bartender. One wanted to go back to the bar to be out of the sex room, and one of us wanted to camp out and watch the show. There were people having sex! Lots of them! None of us felt particularly turned on to the idea of doing anything ourselves. The whole aesthetic is so fun but not super sexy. We didn't see towels or linens anywhere, and the furniture creeped us out a bit. We made out, and there was some spanking, but ultimately, we left. The most disappointing thing about the entire trip to Florida was that we were at Eyz Wide Shut on Saturday, and the next day we realized there is a dungeon next door that is only open on Saturday! Great Place. My wife and I are in our 40s and newbies to the swingers/lifestyle club scene. Must admit we debated going for about a month, especially after reading some of the negative reviews about rude staff and things. Last night was our first time at EWS We were pleasantly surprised, the place is great, all the staff were very nice especially Tiffany behind the bar, even the mean looking security guys were conversational and nice. Dj was good, took requests. Had a great time in the club side just people watching, dirty dancing and having a few drinks. Drinks were a little pricey, but not as outrageous as some reviews made it seem. if you're looking to just get drunk, go to your corner bar and drink cheap draft beer. If you're looking for a fun exciting evening with your wife or girlfriend come here. Had dinner before we got there, so really cant rate the buffet. The owner gave a tour of the play side at 1030. We went on a Saturday night. Definitely an older clientele. We are 27 & 30 and the youngest in the building. There were maybe 20 couples and a few single guys. Drink prices for the exact same drinks were different with 2 different bar tenders (double tito's on the rocks and double tall captain and coke was $31 and then $20). The vibe was a little tense and couples weren't mingling much. The group sex room was okay. There were maybe 5 couples in there when we were, and it was interesting to see. No interaction between anyone. We enjoyed some foreplay for a bit and then got our own room which was very clean and well taken care of. Then we left. Not a bad experience, but nothing to rave about. Lame as fuck! My wife and I went to this club while on vacation. It was a Friday night and there was supposedly a themed event, so we were hopeful that this club would be fun or at least interesting. After paying $16 just to enter the bar, we walked through the metal detector and opened the front door to find....an empty bar! Okay there were maybe 14 people there, but none of them were attractive at all. Some single male creeper followed us around like a lost puppy. not taking the hint that we had absolutely no interest from my wife or I. We have been in the lifestyle for a few years, so we're not exactly newbies. I enjoy watching her have fun playing with a cool dude, but this guy was annoying. The venue itself has a lot of potential. I could see an awesome time if a group bought out the place, it could be good fun. There is a lot of room; dance floor, pool tables, shuffle board, outdoor patio, etc. but if you're in from out of town, this is the last place I could recommend to get a sense of the lifestyle scene in Tampa. We are a somewhat younger couple, who actively works out. We have had excellent experiences with older couples, and we don't expect perfection, but even for us, everyone there skewed toward old and outta shape. If that doesn't bother you, perhaps you'll have fun. If you're a young fit couple, I wouldn't waste the time unless there's an event being hosted. We were there at 11:00 on a Friday night and maybe 6 people were in the whole place. We decided to stay for q drink when I was again given a 3 month expired beer. I returned it to the bartender who emptied the entire cooler trying to find one not well past its expiration. This was the last time. We visited this club on a lark, never having been to this type of establishment before and not sure what to expect. The staff was efficient if not overly friendly. The club consists of two portions, the bar/dancing area and the "hotel" area. We paid for access to both, though I think you can buy access to just the bar area if you want to. Due to a weird zoning thing, you can't get back and forth from the inside but have to go outside and in another door to get from area to area. First off, the club. There was a small dance floor in the middle and several tables and chairs in the main bar area. The bar is cash only and quite expensive, I paid $10 for a (small) glass of pre-mixed long island iced tea like you can get at the liquor store. If you want something actually decent you'll pay $15 which is a bit outrageous. In an adjoining room, there was a pool table, some very weird art, a few tables and a "buffet" of sorts. The food was ok at best, but we did find some fresh fruit that we liked. Other items were of the Chinese variety and then some pizza showed up later. Ok if you just need something to nibble on but don't come for the food. On the dance floor they had a stripper pole mounted for anyone who was feeling the urge to perform. The crowd there was quite varied in size and age, with the majority of people skewing slightly older (think 30s-40s). Dress ranged from jeans to very revealing "dresses" on some of the ladies. The crowd was upbeat for the most part and people seemed to be having fun. The hotel side did not open until 11pm and they gave a tour at 10:30. The tour was actually quite entertaining, with the owner explaining some of the history of the club and the various rooms and equipment. To get into the hotel after it opened, people were required to hand over their cell phones to be locked up and go through a metal detector. There was no charge for this service, it's all covered in the nightly entrance fee. The lighting in the hotel was all very subdued, but you could still get around fairly well. There were around 8 private rooms people could use on a first come first serve basis. A cleaning staff took care of the rooms between occupants with fresh linens etc. There was one dungeon themed room with some simple restraints and other toys. All rooms have windows with blinds so people can choose how private they want to be. In addition to the private rooms, there were a couple of larger public rooms that had various beds and sex furniture in them. Lockers were available, as were fresh sheets for those that wanted them. The club has no policy on dress code in that area, so there were people walking about fully clothed amongst the people that were actively pursuing their sexual activities, it was quite an interesting scene. From what I could tell, people were very respectful of each other's space and I didn't see any actions that would be considered invasive or unwanted. All in all it was a very interesting experience to visit, though longer term I think I would not be happy with some of the shortcomings and with the high prices. read more

A group of my friends had our pajama party here and we had a great time. The crowd was just right making more room for us to enjoy the dance floor. I'm not a drinker and my friends didn't come there to drink so they brought their own and drank in their cars, anyone that goes out knows that "bars" charge a arm and a leg for drinks. First, let me say this, YES, I rated this place a 4. I went on a Saturday night. I only knocked it because of price. We absolutely love the decorated themed- rooms, it is like we are in a different country every visit. So this review comes from someone who had NEVER been to a swinger's club before. This is my first review, and I'm mainly leaving it because this is one of those places that you REALLY want to like and be popular. We've previously hooked up with other singles on cl and what not, but this was our first time actually swinging. We went on a Friday night just before midnight, but we've heard that Saturdays are the time to go. The club area actually resembled a small club. It wasn't packed by any means, but it had a really comfortable environment. There were metal detectors as you walked in. We were pleasantly surprised (having been to places like FL in the past). There was a dance floor with a stripper pole surrounded by tables, with the bar to one side. There was good music playing (mostly agreeable hip hop, some top 40) and a wide selection of drinks. They actually had a mixed drink menu which most clubs don't. We ordered 2 homemade rum runners (they had pre-mixed ones that were slightly cheaper) that were $13 each. They were decently strong and I had a buzz after 2 of them. Oh yeah, the bar is cash only, but they have an atm at the door (with a $3 charge :/). Moving from the club to the backroom, there was a foosball and pool table in the "game room", as well as a small buffet and some more tables. The buffet was Chinese buffet style for sure, and we were a little leery about the food. If it were closer to 8pm (when they opened) we would've been a little more adventurous (there was roast chicken, vegetables, fried rice, etc), but it seemed as if the food had been on the warmers for a while. They had pizza that had been delivered so we ate that (with no side affects yet lol). Side note, the bathrooms were really clean. The "lodging" area is quite separate from the club (you walk out the front door and into another set of double doors to get there) and we were confused at first about that. When you get in, someone was there who gave us a mini tour then sent us on our way. The large group play rooms definitely seemed to be a hit. There only seemed to be couples around, and after going back to the bar for a bit, when came back to find people just openly engaged in any type of act you can think of! Lol it definitely helps to break the ice when you see that happening. The "hedo" room seemed to be where most couples were. It was very easy to have a good experience in here. We didn't explore the themed rooms much, but any pictures on their website seems to do it justice. We ended up leaving just before 4am (the only people still there besides us were the 2 other couples we met). All in all, really fun night. Some demographics: We were concerned that it'd mainly be older people, but it was quite mixed (mid-twenties and up, mostly 30s-40s). We were very surprised to see a diverse crowd. It was very balanced as far as racial makeup, and we thought anyone could probably fit right in here. People dressed nicely, and that "creepy" factor definitely wasn't there. We are definitely going to go again. They had $2 drinks from 8-10 so will probably try then. We had a fun time & left with a couple of numbers! Main con: The outdoor patio are was VERY basic. I'll start off by saying we really like this place and go about once a month, give or take. The facility is beautiful, the drinks are reasonably priced & the people usually seem pretty happy inside. The issue I have is the DJ has made it clear that he DOES NOT CARE about the people he is supposed to be entertaining. We went this last time on Saturday (1/4/20) & arrived a little before 11 pm. The place was packed, there was energy in the room & it was obvious that people wanted to dance. The problem was the music. Some mid range, milquetoast song that was too slow for anyone to shake their ass to but also too fast to slow dance to was playing. So, everyone was standing around hoping for the DJ to get something better on when Bruno Mars' "It Will Rain" laughably came on (another song that's impossible to dance to). Nonetheless, everyone stood around for another half hour or so because the music wasn't dance music in any way shape or form, until the latin "set" began. Fortunately, most Latin music has a quick tempo and finally the dance floor started seeing some movement. Unfortunately, it's obviously not the first choice of music for most of the patrons so while the people wanted to dance, they got out there for 1 song, danced awkwardly & then left the floor (that's what happened to my gf & I as well). After about an hour of some of the worst "dance" music imaginable, we'd had enough and decided to go next door, which fortunately has an independent sound system and is always fun. We spent about 45 minutes next door and went back to the club side and again, shitty music with an empty dance floor so we decided to skip the next round of drinks and call it a night. This happens a lot & it sucks. For such a high entry fee you would think the managers would want the patrons to have a good time but nobody seems to care. Even months ago, when I requested a song, he put it on, the dance floor packed up, then the next song was that middle of the road crap and people left...again. You really could have a much more entertaining place that could make a LOT more money on drinks if you spent some money on a DJ that actually gave a shit about the energy in the room. read more

I tried Eyz Wide Shut for the first time last Saturday for their Mardi Gras event. Despite the negative reviews, I had a really good time. The DJ played a really good selection of music and took requests. The food, if you get there at a decent time, is a mix of Chinese and American. Plus it's a FREE! LOL! They also gave away masks and beads for the event. Even did a raffle of "toys". We were leery of going to the "playground" but it was actually really clean and we felt safe. There were 3 security guards/room attendants. The staff was super hilarious and friendly, but they helped to break the ice and loosen us up a bit. All in all, I'd definitely recommend going to try it out for yourself. read more

I personally love the place the staff is great the atmosphere is nice no drama. I have been 3 times so far it has become my getaway spot. The drink prices are fair on the barside the buffet is a nice touch. On the play side it is calm you don't feel pressured to do anything the staff is very friendly and attentive the rooms and play areas are cleaned almost instantly. I definitely recommend Eyez Wide Shut to open minded playful people. Friday night is a smaller crowd if you're shy and just want a limited amount of people viewing. read more

Bar side is nice with good music when the dj is spinning. Inviting decor and atmosphere. Only downside so far is the over priced drinks. Laid back atmosphere and friendly staff are a plus. read more

We had a fun night. Went on a Saturday, was a decent size crowd with a wide variety of people of all ages. Get there before 9 to save quite a bit. My husband enjoyed watching me dance on a pole in the cage (after a few drinks). The rooms are nice & clean & we love the different themes. read more
