Isn't the worst thing ever when your sunglasses break on vacation? We stopped here because to be honest, they were the only place that carried higher end sunglasses (meaning I wasn't going to target and buying a $20 pair) that was open before 10am. The staff tried SO hard to fix my sunglasses but unfortunately they just didn't have the right piece. So then we worked with their optician to pick out new pairs. He was SO nice and answered all our questions, to the point where my boyfriend wound up with a new pair too! Then he gave us all these cool restaurant recommendations since we're visiting. Eyes on Main has a nice selection of frames. Drew in particular is very knowledgeable about frame styles and lens options. I've been coming here since 2017. Absolutely the worst place I've ever used for eyeglasses. Literally messed-up everything. Not just once or twice bet several times. Prescription was bad, messed-up lenses, scratched lens on replacement lenses, ordered wrong lens twice, gave them a pair of lenses to copy and they lost them and cut the new lenses wrong! Being fairly new in town I was in need of a local eye dr. Searched on line for someplace that was near home w in walking distance. After reading all the reviews here as well as on line I chose Eyes in Main. Between the entire crew there & the Dr I was not disappointed. Very professional. Mindful of any covid concerns. The office was easy to find. The Dr took his time explaining every part of the exam to me. As a senior citizen sometimes we tend to worry about new Drs. Had a really good experience here, both with an eye exam & then purchasing several pairs of new prescription frames & lenses (including Rx sunglasses). When purchasing glasses, I'm used to the 'OK, the Rx looks fine, they're not too crooked on your face, off you go!' experience of fitting new glasses - not very helpful! The staff at Eyes on Main was really professional, spent a lot of time looking through my various options (they have a nice selection of interesting, high quality frames from a number of brands), answering any questions, and doing a great job fitting my new frames. I actually believe them when they say 'Please come back if you have any issues'! A really pleasant experience from start to finish - I'll certainly be using them in the future for any exams & eyewear needs. read more

My new optometrist!! If you are looking for a new optometrist, look no further!!!! I was on vacation and lost one of my gas permeable contacts. It takes about 2 weeks (my entire vacation) to get replacement lenses, so i knew i needed to get a new prescription and initiate the process while on vacation. First of all, I was very impressed by all of the latest technology that was employed for my eye exam - it is obvious that Dr. Squire is committed to re-investing in his practice. The front office gals provided excellent customer service - they were very welcoming, knowledgeable, and professional. I was so impressed with Dr. Squire - he gave me the most thorough and accurate contact lens exam I have ever had (in 30 years of wearing glasses & contacts). He suggested that I try soft lenses, at least for the duration of my vacation, so that I wouldn't have to wear my glasses if I didn't want to. After wearing gas permeable lenses for 30 years, I was VERY nervous to try them, so Dr. Squire personally spent at least 20 minutes helping me learn how to properly insert & remove the lenses. Oh, and by the way, he not only gave me a pair to walk out of the office with, he also gave me an extra pair in case I lost one and bottles of contact solution so I would not need to buy any on vacation. After all of this, he suggested that I follow-up the following week because he suspected that my prescription might change (after being out of gas perms for awhile). Turns out my prescription did change & at my follow-up appt, he gave me another set of lenses plus an extra set. I just have nothing but amazing things to say about Dr. Squire and his staff. Thanks to him, I was able to enjoy my vacation so much more. I am definitely a soft lens convert & Dr. Squire is my new optometrist, even though I'm only in town once a year. read more

Dr. Squire is the Best of Bozeman! I had tried mono contacts and felt like I was in a 3-D movie, so I quit wearing them. When I came to Dr. Squire I was wearing one pair of glasses for distance and carrying two more for reading and computer work. All other optometrists had told me that I could not be fitted for bi-focal contacts. When I told Dr. Squire this, he disagreed. He had me try several different pair of contacts, because he is a perfectionist in his field. Even when I thought they were "good enough", he said, "I think we can do better." I LOVE my bi-focal contacts. When I am wearing them, I forget that I have vision problems. Next, I'm going to have him fit me for progressive lenses. I've also had a failed attempt with that, but I believe if anyone can make it work...Dr. Squire can. I highly recommend Eyes on Main to everyone, but especially for people who have trouble getting fitted with bi-focal contacts.
