They never failed to make me feel like a valued customer. My family all go to them for anything glasses-related. I'll never forget the very first time I put on a pair of glasses, just after starting first grade, and seeing clearly for the first time in months. Memories like that leave an impression, and I'm glad Kent and Roxy were part of that! They have a special touch with eye wear, and if my experience was any indication, they go out of their way to make the process as easy and fun as possible. When I had a cataract she helped me have the best vision possible until it was ready for surgery, and when the time came for surgery, she referred me to an excellent surgeon. We have also purchased several pairs of glasses there, and the opticians are very helpful, courteous, knowledgeable and patient with picky (and sometimes indecisive) customers like me.

I made the stupid mistake of paying $90+ in cash, BACK IN FEBRUARY, for glasses. Now this morning, I realize we've never heard about his glasses. I have called today and found out that they took my $92.XX but have no record of the payment I made. Do I have the receipt? No, because it's been over 60 days and I stupidly thought this was all paid for and we were waiting on their call for his glasses. To say I'm furious is light weight. I am a single mom who has to budget every dollar I have and now they're wanting me to pay another $92 that I already paid. I'm sure there are cameras with footage of me paying the receptionist my $92.XX but was told they don't have that. As of now, "they're looking into it and will get back to me". When I asked what that meant, she gave me no clue or idea on what looking into entailed. Super disappointed. I'll be in to get the prescription in the morning, request they pull their camera footage of me paying at the front desk, or count their cash that day because if they have no receipt or record for it, they should have been over $93 dollars in cash that day. I do know today the optical lady called me back 5 minutes after I called and said Dr Eubanks said there was no cash transactions that day. I wanted straight line bifocals. She gave me single vision glasses I could not see out of. While the employee was cleaning my (new lens) she broke the arm of the frame. She said the new glasses were "shop worn" as it is protocol for Howards Optical to use the frames that had been on the shelves for public use. I returned the glasses as I could not see. She said she knew what she did wrong and would correct it. I wanted bifocals, she said she would do a better job. My corrected 2nd pair was supposedly for computer distance did not to work for computer or distance. The belligerent owner injected himself to bully the customer and eventually put the discarded lens from the 1st pair into more shop-worn lens and now I have two pairs of glasses I cannot see out of. He expects me to switch glasses back and forth from close up to distance continually and he claimed he could not follow the script and he could not make straight line bifocals. The bully owner claimed his lab was in Wichita and he could not make straight line bifocals, but he did try a bait and switch to a graduated lens for another $700.00. Of course, according to him, those glasses were not usable away from your desk. I have gone to two of Howard's Optical competitors and had both the glasses and script examined. They both concluded the glasses do not match the script. Howards Optical does not know what they are doing. They did not follow the script. Value your eyesight, value your money, value yourself and find a real glass retailer.
