If there was less then one star that's what I give this place. My appointment was with a optometrist that gave me about 15 minutes exam for $90.00 Then I order and paid for contact lenses and Randy, I assume that is name told me they would be ready in two weeks.Three weeks passed I called and he told me there where in so I went to pick them up and he tried to give me two boxes of contact samples, really !!! I told him I wanted the contact lenses I order and he told me he would have to reorder them. I was not happy and he didn't like that, so then he got nasty and told me to shut up and let him talk. Ended up getting credit and I just walked away from this sad situation. This guy should not be in customer service he is horrible. read more

I will be happy to change this to more stars, if my husband's glasses do indeed get delivered today after over a 2 week wait. If he walks out happy il will be too. He wanted to go to Americas best, and I said "oh you need to go here, I got my glasses there and I love them". Of course that was several years ago, and it looks like things have change. We were not advised of the back order delay. We would call during business hours and the owner was not in yet. I would ask for return phone calls and it was like I was begging.I know this sounds petty but when my husbands pays $500 cash for his stuff he expects good quality and prompt service. I am so disappointed. This place was listed as 'best of' in 2015 for eye glasses in Cape Coral! My appointment started off with a part-time optometrist who gave me a 15 minutes exam.,,that whole experience was VERY unprofessional. Randy, the only staff there, knew his frames, well maybe, the $99 frames as advertised looked like they were for kids. It was really hard to get his help because he was either on the phone talking about his weigh training or doing the same with guys that drop in. The incident that led to this review was yesterday, when I called 3 times and finally got him in person, asking if I could come in to pick up my glasses that were ordered 3 weeks earlier..(he never called to tell me that) He said yes they were in and he will be there until 5 p.m. I live 15 minutes away so I left home at 4:15 but was caught in traffic from an accident on Del Prado. At 4:45 I was 5 minutes away and called to let him know I was going to be there shortly, but got the answer machine again, and left a msg i was 5 minutes out... got there at 4:52 and door was locked, lights off....no Randy!!!! GRRRR. How did they EVER get the 'Best of' for Cape Coral!!!!!! I only wish I had check Yelp before all this instead of just relying on the paper.... Lets just say this. DON'T ever walk into this business. Never opens on time, doesn't provide a shred of even marginal customer service. I cannot recommend this business. I returned both pair of glasses as the lenses fell out of both. The FREE exam is actually paid for and then supposedly deducted from the cost of your glasses. The Dr. took less than 10 minutes to perform the exam. No measurements were taken to determine sizing. When the glasses did not fit, they were adjusted by bending and stretching. When I returned the "designer" sunglasses that kept loosing the lenses, I was informed that they were discontinued. I went back four times in 8 weeks to choose new frames that never arrived. Meanwhile, the lens fell out of my $438 reading glasses, (the ones I only wore about four times as they hurt). I had to return them as well. I am hoping Eyeglass Gallery does the right thing and refunds my money. No stars here ! NOTE: My request for refund was denied because the credit card company decided it took to long to place claim. I kept going back to store for months awaiting arrival of new frames that NEVER appeared. read more

They very rarely answer the phone. They aren't open when the store sign says it is to be open. Randy told my husband his frames were gold when in fact they are silver color. He had to order replacement lenses several times because he kept breaking the lense putting in the frame. Randy is very nice when you can finally talk to him and did order my husband replacement glasses at no clost but it took 1 and 1/2 years to finally get them. My husband and I were leaving the House of Omelets 8 days ago and happened to see the new Eyeglass Gallery store. As I had an eye exam the week before we went in on a whim to look at frames. Rand Bott, the owner/optician was there. Randy could not have been more accommodating or gracious. Before I became a trauma nurse specialist in neurocritical care and emergency medicine, I trained and worked as an optician myself for many years running optical clinics in Children's Hospital in Chicago, and at the former Cook County Hospital and Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago. I know what it takes to be a good optician and Randy passed my test with flying colors. He was very knowledgeable and was able to help me select frames that are attractive for the shape of my face and the limitations of my eye prescription. Randy said my glasses would take approximately 7-10 days to get the lenses ordered, ground, and mounted in the new frames. As luck would have it I am leaving to go out of town 8 days later and so I called and asked if there was any way the THREE PAIRS of GLASSES I ORDERED could be ready before I left. Randy said he was dying the lenses for my sunglasses as we speak and I could pick them up the following morning! I was SO relieved! I went in today and picked up the 3 beautiful pairs of glasses I ordered. Randy adjusted and fit the glasses checking to make sure they were appropriately adjusted. And they are perfect! I am simply thrilled. I got 2 pairs of regular transitional trifocal lenses in 2 very up to date and beautiful frames and another pair of prescription sunglasses as well. I am extremely pleased especially since these 3 pairs of glasses cost just over half of what I had been quoted for ONE pair of glasses at a national chain eyeglass company as well as another small business optical firm that quoted me over $1100 for one pair. If I could give this business less than a star, I would. Ordered glasses on 6/16, finally received them on 7/28. Bate and switch, went in with 2 for $78 coupon only to be told that if I do that I am going to get $8.00 glasses from China. I never did see those glasses, not sure if thy exist. But I went for the other special buy one get one. I ended up paying over $300, the glasses came back with the wrong prescription, then they were sent back. Then the lenses were so thick, they were hanging out of the glasses. I was constantly given the excuse that UPS hadn't come yet every time they were due back. Then he was supposed to drop them off at my house---no show... I can only blame myself for not reading the reviews before I went her. They are on Yelp, Google and the Better Business Bureau. I could only find an expired business license for this place. And everyone complains about the same thing. He also promised me my money back if I was not completely satisfied, then wouldn't give it to me. I just hope I can save others from having to go through the same thing myself and many people before me had to go through. Switch and bate with there adds & flyers ! Be careful or they will switch you into paying a lot more than advertised specials and deals right into a lot more expensive situation. Slow very slow in filling your order or prescription. Be careful and it might be a good deal. My suggestion is go some where else . read more

This business doesn't deserve any star rating. After 3 months of having my new glasses the finish staring wearing off the frame. I went to the store to show Randy and he assured me he would order the same frame and call me when they came in. After 2 weeks and no phone call I finally called him to only find out that my frames were discontinued but that his supplier was coming in on Friday with some frames that were comparable to mine and he would call me. Since no phone call was received after 2 weeks I went to the store to only have him show me frames that were not even close to what I had. They were either men's frames or some funky color/style. Once again he gave me the same story that his rep was bringing in more frames on Friday and again the same scenario - no call and not one frame like the one I bought. After 2 months of receiving this poor customer service I decided to take my business to a more reputable eyeglass business.
