I asked how long the complete eye exam would take and she said it could take up to an hour. I have an 11:00 am appointment so I said that I am upset and I could not do my exam now. if this was the first time this had happened I would not have been so upset but it appears to be the norm. it certainly appears that scheduling appointments tightly and realizing maximum profits is the priority over patient care and respect. I plan on looking elsewhere for better patient care. Doug

My daughter's old pair was disintegrating and getting too small for her face, and since 11-year-old twins tend to lose everything, I wasn't looking to break the bank. A sign taped to the door at Sun Logic mentioned goggles starting at $40, so we headed inside. The vibe in the store was great--solid, bassy soundtrack playing and a very helpful staff. They were patient enough to let the twins try on multiple pairs without complaint. We eventually settled on some Bolles. Naturally, I bought two pairs, because with twins, "fairness" is the law of the land. Since it was my birthday weekend, I asked if they had any recommendations for goggles that fit over prescription glasses. My usual struggle is choosing between no goggles (watery eyes) or wearing goggles and being unable to read my phone. They steered me toward an excellent pair of Anon goggles with snap-in lenses. They came with both blacked-out and orange shades, plus a feature I've come to love: a magnetic snap-on face mask. Did they upsell me? Yes. Do I have any regrets? Absolutely not. The Anons are fantastic--it's incredibly easy to swap lenses based on the light conditions, and the magnetic mask is a game-changer. It stays up for those chilly chairlift rides and snaps down easily once you work up some heat on the downhill. The whole crew looked great on the mountain. If you're in Breck and need gear that actually works for your specific needs, this is the spot.

I've never had better fitting boots (definitely go with the DFP footbeds) and they helped pick the right binding for ME without the "tough guy attitude" you can find at other shops. My family previously…read morepurchased three pairs of boots from a high-end bootfitting store in the Vail Valley, but I decided to try Sun & Ski--and I am so glad I did. Fred was patient, incredibly knowledgeable, and genuinely compassionate. He listened carefully as I explained the pain I've experienced in ski boots for years--even those from expensive specialty shops. For the first time, I truly felt heard and understood. I have skied my entire life, starting at age four, and I had never known skiing without boot pain. Fred took the time to explore multiple solutions and never once rushed me. He genuinely cared about getting it right. Some shops don't seem to take female skiers seriously, but Fred absolutely did. I hadn't even planned to buy boots that day; I was just browsing. But thanks to Fred's expertise, I ended up purchasing the best boots I've ever owned. I literally cried when I skied in them--no pain and no break-in period. I had resigned myself to the idea that I'd need $1,500 custom boots forever, but Fred found the perfect pair for me for just $600, tax included. Because my experience was so incredible, I insisted my husband return the following weekend to buy his boots from Fred as well. Everyone at Sun & Ski is kind, knowledgeable, and treats customers with genuine care--better than I've ever been treated at far "fancier" stores. We will be buying our boots from Sun & Ski for life. Thank you, Fred. We appreciate you more than you know.

I saw a pair of Solomons in my size on the sale rack and they were attached by a zip tie and a locked merchandise key. I asked a bald man who was working there. I'm not sure if he's the manager if he could unlock it and he said no you have to just try on one at a time and see if they work. I immediately left the store because I think this horrible customer service and this guy is an imbecile. I am a customer that lives in the Vail Valley and comes to the store for outerwear and he just lost me as a customer because I wanted to try on a pair of boots!!!???? he said that too many people walk out of there without paying so I have to be inconvenience because sun and ski sports cannot manage their loss prevention. Needless to say, I'll never be back and I'm heading all the way to Glenwood Springs to go to the REI where I have a membership. Don't go to the store. It's horrible.
