I'm blessed to work here.

They were not doing well in a traditional school setting and would not have graduated without Eaton. I was able to sit down with Mr . U and craft a customized schedule. When things weren't working we were able to revamp the schedule. Both girls had flexibility and private instruction. The teachers cared about them and we loved the administrator, Marge, who handled the independent study curriculum. They were understanding and committed to the success of my girls. Both are in college now... One has a semester left until graduation. The other is a sophomore. Yes it is small and didn't offer a huge mainstream social environment but the trade off was high school college prep diplomas! Thank you Eaton!

We toured several centers in Roswell and were BLOWN AWAY by Building Kidz, which we lovingly call BK in our house. Being at BK totally changed my perception about what daycare is -- and what it isn't. I initially wanted a nanny because I didn't want to feel like some other people were raising my child while I was at work. But in reality, a good daycare isn't just caring for your child, they are teaching them too. Even little babies get stimulation and activities that help them learn social skills and other development skills. Our daughter has been at BK since she was 12 weeks old and now she is nearly 3 years old. We love the focus on performing arts and how BK really makes each family feel like part of a community. I highly recommend Building Kidz to any family I meet. It's such an amazing place for children.

My son attended Eastminster Preschool for about 2 months before I pulled him and moved him elsewhere. When he started at the school, he was just under 2 years old. I was shocked when about 2 weeks after being at the school I received an email describing all of the things that my child was doing wrong. He couldn't unpack and hang up his backpack, walk in a line, sit at a table and do centers, and the list went on. The email was sent to me as though my less than 2 year old child should already know how to do all of this. As a teacher and mom, I was very aware that these expectations of a less than 2 year old, especially a boy, were incredibly ridiculous. It made me feel as though his teacher knew very little about the developmental stages of children, and the director seemed to have no issue with this at all. I felt as though my little boy was being treated like a problem child, when I knew that he was a perfectly normal toddler boy. With that being said, this is not the only instance I have heard of boys being treated like problems at this preschool. I have two other friends who had similar experiences with their sons, and they were both dismissed and treated as though normal, developmentally appropriate boy behavior is actually misbehavior. If you have a well-behaved little girl, I'm sure she will do just fine here...but as for little boys, I would think twice before sending them here.

The directors are professional and are always friendly and welcoming during drop off or pick up times. From the moment you walk into the center, you can tell they care about creating a warm and supportive environment. One of the greatest benefits we've observed at this particular location is the structured daily routine. My grandson thrives on this and it's clear that the teachers and leadership team work hard to provide consistent and meaningful learning experiences. We are very thankful for The Sunshine House Early Learning Academy and as grandparents within a close-knit family, we truly appreciate the care, dedication, and positive atmosphere they provide for our grandson.

While my son was there he had a few different teachers in his class for appropriate fill ins, but his main teachers Ms. Madi and Ms. Cindy were absolute angels. All of the teachers were! I never had any worries or complaints and all of the teachers followed our family plan as asked. I always received timely updates on diapering, sleeping, and feeding as well as a lot of photos and videos. I truly appreciate the thorough updates now that I've seen an alternative to be honest - my son's teachers would call to even let me know if he seemed extra irritated or seemed unwell even if he didn't have a fever or obvious signs and i was thankful because i would always go right away to pick him up, even if it wasn't required. Also, Heather, the Asst Director (I think that was her role) was also incredible! She was always such a warm welcome every morning and always made my boy smile! She always informed me of anything going on in the class or with my child (sickness) and also took the time to get to know my sweet babe individually. Needless to say, we love the Sunshine House and would certainly recommend it.

After 2.5 years at TLA South, we decided to move our son to another daycare, and looking back, I…read morewish we had made the decision much sooner. The best thing this center has going for it is the new Director, Stephanie. Unfortunately, our experience with Executive Director Simmie (who also happens to be the daughter of the owners) was consistently disappointing. When we raised concerns, we often felt dismissed, and communication was poor. Instead of feeling like our concerns were heard or addressed, we left many conversations feeling frustrated. Another ongoing frustration was there was rarely anyone available at the front of the building during morning drop-off. When we first started attending, there was someone at the desk but toward the end there was never administration present in the morning. The teachers were tucked away in their rooms but no one in the front of the building - raising safety concerns. If parents had a question, concern, or needed to communicate something important about their child, there often wasn't anyone there to speak with. It gave the impression that parent communication was simply not a priority. One of our concerns was that the primary afternoon teacher had difficulty communicating with us in English. We found this challenging, especially when discussing our son's day and developmental progress. When we raised this concern, we did not feel it was taken seriously by Simmie. In contrast, Stephanie acknowledged that this communication barrier was a significant issue and recognized the impact it had on families. We appreciated that she listened and understood why it mattered. We also repeatedly asked for support with potty training and were told it would be addressed, but we never saw a consistent plan implemented. The classroom itself appeared to have a limited selection of older toys, and we saw very little evidence of structured educational activities or curriculum. Our son frequently came home with reports of scratches, hitting, and other incidents involving classmates. While occasional incidents happen in any daycare, the frequency became concerning to us and ultimately contributed to our decision to leave. The difference since changing schools has been remarkable. In just two weeks at his new center, our son has been happier, more engaged, and thriving. Every family's experience may be different, but based on ours, I encourage parents to thoroughly explore all of their childcare options before making a decision.
