We had little input though as we trusted that their combined creativity would exceed any expectations or ideas of our own. They are fun, creative, dynamic & capture quirkier (in a good way) shots than most. I loved having the dynamics of male/female, husband/wife, and 2 personalities creating shots. Becky spent a few hours with the girls taking photos while we got ready and she made it so comfortable that I quickly forgot about the huge camera that was ever present. She makes you feel that she's been your friend forever and is one of the members of the bridal party. Her presence is not uncomfortable or cumbersome one bit. My family and friends at the wedding could not stop talking about them afterward. They commented on how many photos they took, how hard they worked, their professionalism, and just how darn adorable they are! They really stole the show. We saw a few preliminary shots already on their blog and we have all been blown away, left excited to see more! I stumbled across Limelife's blog from a Pinterest picture and based on their photo-journalistic style, I definitely wanted to inquire. Jesse and Becky met up with us in person at a coffee shop and right away we could see that they are hard working with a laid-back presence. Jesse and Becky shot our engagement and wedding photos. I remember feeling slightly nervous being in front of the camera for our engagement session, but Jesse and Becky directed us and kept conversation going to make us feel at ease. The results? Beautiful and warm pictures, but still real and capturing us. We knew our wedding photos would be incredible if our engagement photos were amazing and Limelife did not disappoint. Sweet bonus? Jesse and Becky's wedding anniversary date was the same date as our wedding date! It was nice to work with such a wonderful couple. It made our day that much more magical.

I would give Sarah and Duane an infinite number of stars for each category and then some. Sarah has a gift for photography that allows her to create perfection in her pictures. She is a natural talent and is able to invoke beauty into each shot she takes. Duane is a natural creator and has a vision to capture a shot in the most obscure of places. They are a perfect team and combine their talents to "blow your mind" with each shot that they take. My wife and I used them for our engagement pictures and also for our wedding pictures. I will continue to use them for family pictures and any other event that may come about that I will need a photographer to capture that moment in time. Our engagement session was shot over a day in San Clemente and we love how much emotion, intimacy, love and affection they were able to showcase with brilliant color and creative, natural background and poses. Our friends and family were so blown away by the engagement pics that they could hardly wait to meet Duane and Sarah at our wedding to see who were the creators behind our amazing pictures! Of course, the wedding pictures were more of the same. Their genius is drawn from their creativity, teamwork, and a natural vision that just cannot be learned in their industry. I cannot recommend Shirock Photography enough! Sarah and Duane are absolute rockstars and will deliver a product that cannot be matched by anyone else with a camera. Sarah is one of the hardest working, sincerest, and dedicated person to her craft that I know. She truly loves what she is doing and it shows in her enthusiasm and the end product that she is creating. She is meticulous and a perfectionist and wants to make sure that she creates the right shot to capture the perfect moment for you to cherish forever. Duane is genuine, absurdly creative, and able to compliment Sarah's work perfectly. Perfection and natural. You will never be photographed the same way again. I cannot stress enough how perfect and natural our pictures look. Sarah and Duane are above and beyond anything that you can expect when capturing your moment in time. A million thanks to them for their hard work and perfection. They have helped to give my wife and I the dream pictures we could only have hoped to get for us to reflect upon the joy and happiness of those moments for the rest of our lives. I wouldn't entrust anyone else to capture the moment more than Shirock Photography.

We wanted photographers who we felt like we connected with and who would be cool to hangout with throughout the day. We knew immediately that Sarah and Duane were the photographers we wanted to capture each moment of our wedding day. Both Duane and Sarah were awesome about keeping in contact with us leading up to and after our wedding day. With the chaos of planning a wedding, it was really nice to have Duane contact us with reminders and just to check in. We took our engagement pictures all around Balboa Park and even snuck in some La Jolla sunset pics at the end of the day. Both my husband and I felt really comfortable throughout the shoot and loved how the pictures turned out. The wedding day was even better! We had them add a second shooter for the day and it was well worth it. While I love the posed pictures, I think the candid photos were some of my favorites. My friends and family really appreciated the time and attention the photographers put into making sure all of our guests were acknowledged during our big day. The photo schedule ran perfectly on-time with even a little extra before the ceremony so I was able to get individual pictures with my bridesmaids! The packages that Clearlight Studio offers are great and you can really customize them to what you need. That ended up being a perfect way to get to see how the three of us would interact on the wedding day and get an idea of the type of photographs we could expect. The pictures turned out amazing and reaffirmed our decision for Valerie to capture our wedding day. On the day of our wedding, Valerie and her assistant were punctual and prepared. They found a lot of amazing places for pictures and after our ceremony we went down to the beach to get a few more before the night came to an end. The photographs came within the timeline they promised and were amazing. It took weeks to narrow the pictures down because there were so many to choose from. We cannot recommend Valerie and her talents enough.

Future Yelping brides and grooms, if you are looking for a photographer, look no further, she's the best. Just a little background about our experience with Sara. We actually met her about 9 months before our wedding, and we loved her. We had just started looking at photographers, and we didn't know what the going rate was, so we got a card and kept looking. We found a husband and wife photographer for less money and booked them, however we soon realize that you get what you pay for. Long story short, we asked Sara if she was still available on our wedding day, and lucky for us she was, so we booked her and fired our original photographer. Did I already say this was the best decision that we could have made??? Sara and Jessica (her studio manager), were such a pleasure to deal with. My wife and I were pretty clueless regarding poses, lighting, and other technical photography stuff, so we told them to take charge, pose us, and make us look good. Everybody in our wedding party told us how awesome they were to work with. We just got our pictures back this week, and wow...they far exceeded our expectations. We cannot thank Sara and Jessica enough for their excellent work. We had a LOT of family at our wedding, which meant MANY table shots, and MANY Bridesmaid/Grooms and Ceremony shots, etc and both Chadwick and Jenika powered through what was the fastest 8 hours of my life !!!! Photos were our top priority because they're just one of the few things you keep for posterity. Stylistically Studio Castillero's photos should be in magazines. I think they capture so many gorgeous editorial-style shots. Don't just take my word for it, take a look at their website and social media sites and you'll see what I mean. We first spoke over the phone before we hired them. I expressed what I was looking for in photographers: people who would capture special moments; blend in especially when we were busy; take some important shots with the wedding party and family; not to take cheesy "trying too hard" askew sideways shots; be artistic, yet don't get carried away; and then experiment with something I really wanted: a few pictures that look as if old Dutch Masters painted them. A tall order, but they were up for the challenge and nailed it all! (I'll include photos.) My husband reported that meeting Rico was great. With Rico's guidance, being the subject in pictures became easy and effortless. In my experience, Rachel also fit right in. She started with some candids and then directed me on how to pose for single shots. When we joined the grooms-party, Rico and Rachel were excellent at directing us on what to do- moving shots, posing shots, candids, etc... It took me a minute to get used to it, but eventually I felt at ease. Over time we began to just have fun taking pictures and as the wedding progressed we didn't even notice Rico and Rachel even though the pictures prove they were around us the whole time. That is professionalism!! By the time we received our pictures, (and thank you for meeting our request R&R,) we were ecstatic with the packaging in which the photos and a USB arrived. Such a nice touch! They are very reasonably priced for top notch quality work, professionalism, and care. You can not go wrong with Studio Castillero. I look at our wedding pictures all the time and am so happy with them. Thank you so much you two!!
