First a correction, my daughter paid $120 for cut not $145 as I mistakenly stated in my initial post. She then gave a $45 tip bringing the total to $165. Now, my rating isn't going to change with this update. The owner contacted my daughter, at her request, and they did refund her the cost of the procedure; however, my daughter also tipped the woman $45 dollars which I guess she will just be out. She is going to have to cut three inches off of her hair in order to get it healthy again. My daughter told the owner about the comment the girl made about not standing there for three hours to color someone's hair. And the owner said the girl would NEVER have said that! Come on my daughter left a $45 dollar tip when she first thought the work was good. Does that really sound like someone who wants to make unfair accusations!? Even if they would have given her the tip back, this cut and color has still cost my daughter three inches of hair before her wedding. What's that worth? I wish I could give this place a negative rating but one star is the best I can do. I will also post a picture of the girl who did the work so you'll know to avoid her, if you believe your eyes. I'm not saying this girl never does a good job but there are some things that you want to consistently be good every time. One cut like this in every ten, every 100 or every 1000 isn't acceptable. The owner should have been bending over backwards to make this as right as possible but instead she defended her employee, which is great except there is no question that in this case the employee screwed up, and then she basically accused my daughter of lying or mishearing depending on how kind you want to be. Very poor judgment and service. My wife got her hair cut there too but s different girl and it was fine but still there can be no confidence in the business as a whole. I made an appointment and got my hair cut in the same day. Kim (owner) was extremely reassuring over the phone and was super helpful. I was getting bangs cut and I was a little nervous so the friendliness of the staff and their ability to work with what I wanted was great! Very disappointing. I made an appointment in advance, come the day of I was told that the hairdresser would be right with me. Exactly half an hour after waiting, two walk-ins were serviced before me. The prices are extremely reasonable and the staff were perfectionist and experienced. They were also very friendly and accomodating. We will never go anywhere else. All of the girls will talk crap about their next customer going in. I have heard the owner express her nasty opinions towards lgbt members and many of groups of people. They are not sanitizing before and after clients, the staff isn't wearing a mask when it is REQUIRED!! Very unhealthy and unprofessional. She answered the phone when I called to make my appointment (and I had been having a very bad day), but when she answered she was so perky and upbeat and happy! She just lifted my spirits! I needed a haircut fairly quickly. This was a HUGE deal because it was a whole year since I last cut it and I was having photos taken the following week. I called them that early afternoon, say 1pm and they fit me in at 4:30p that afternoon! They were really sweet and professional. I met with Melody and she was perfect! I came in with 5 or 6 different photos of Kourtney Kardashian's hair and what I wanted. She was absolutely hilarious and I loved talking with her. She cut my hair and then styled it for me. It was a perfect match! She did a great job on my hair! I'll be happy to report that when I need a new cut, I will be going back! read more

Been here 4-5 times and haven't had a single complaint. One stylist did mess up the color on my hair when I was getting highlights due to a brush that may have had some residue of dye but she was very helpful and refused to let me pay and asked me to come in again to fix it for free. I got really comfortable with Morgan and recommended her to a friend and now we both love getting highlights, color and cuts by her. I have moved to Houston but still make the drive to CS. I love my new haircut! I was nervous to cut 6 or so inches off my hair, but went in to see Kylie and got a fabulous cut! This was mine and my boyfriends first time here. We called last minute and they were able to get us in and out in under 30 minutes. I got a lovely wash and cut with Melody. She was sweet, polite and took great care of my hair. I have crazy thick curly hair so cutting it correctly is not an easy feat. My boyfriend had Kayla and she did an above amazing job with him. He, like myself, has thick curly hair. He's had problems with stylists in the past not cutting his hair correctly but she defeated the odds. We both left happy with some wonderful haircuts. The price was completely reasonable. It was $15 for his cut and $25 for mine(including wash and cut). We'll definitely be back. read more

I walked into the salon as a walk-in, not really expecting to be seen because they were busy, but I was made to feel at home while I waited only just a few minutes. My stylist, Melody, was very friendly and took the time to really listen to my requests. She is very detail oriented and didn't hesitate to ask me questions in order to get the perfect cut/color. I learned that she has been in the business over 25 years, so she's obviously a pro, and she keeps up with the latest trends and styles. Kim and her staff are awesome!!! My daughter and I have been going to Kim since Eye Candy opened. My last hairstylist at another salon ruined my hair and I came to Kim in tears. One of her stylists was able to fix my hair and I was thrilled with the results. She has always worked around our schedules to make an appointment. There have even been a few times Kim stayed extra late to fit me in. She is a real sweetheart and encourages her staff to treat the customers with respect. Now there have been a few times that I needed my haircut before I could make an appointment with Kim and she without hesitation set me up with one of her other stylist-which of course they did an awesome job as well. Went to the salon to get highlights done for the first time. Showed the stylist a picture of what I wanted. I told her that I wanted the highlights just a little bit lighter but the same style as the picture. She took 2-3 hours and colored the entire top layer of my hair. She also only touched up the grey in my hair and did not color my hair. Was $105 plus tip. I got home, looked at it and my hair looked washed out. It was in no way what I requested. Next morning, I called the stylist. Told her it was not what I had asked for and immediately the conversation turned cold. She told me to come in on a Friday evening. I told her just to wait until next week so as not to cut into her weekend. She told me she was booked and busy and wouldn't have time. So, came in Friday. She proceeded to tell me that she thought my hair looked great. I told her it was not what I had asked for. I told her I had the picture to show again and she refused to look at it. She recolored my hair and put highlights. I asked for subtle and she put some subtle and some chunks. I have big chunks on the sides of my head. She was cold. She said only one word responses. She would step away from her station for long periods of time, leaving me alone. Conversations by the two stylists with each other and another customer in the salon included cursing. Not professional at all. I felt completely unwelcome there. I will never go back. Very bad first experience. I was very disappointed. read more

I got my hair done here twice. The first time I was really happy with it and they did a really good job but the second time they messed it up so bad. I got blonde on my dark hair and my hair is currently about 3 different colors and the bleach bled onto other parts of my hair and I have random blonde patches in my hair that look awful and it was expensive. Stylist named Leah. Wanted my hair to be a dirty blonde, blended throughout. I left with huge blocky chunks of bleach blonde hair in the back and a really poor haircut. Was tossed around on the phone and she tried to blame me and my hair rather than accept responsibility. Her offer for fixing my hair included refusing to acknowledge that she completely overprocessed my hair and that she could tone the rest of my hair to match. She refused to refund me, and her only offer was to put more chemicals in, during very narrow windows of time throughout the week read more
