This is a response to the comment from the owner. I do want to make it known that I am not giving a negative review nor was it my intention. I am giving (gave) three stars based of a 5 star experience with full lashes and no lash loss (extensions) and a 1 star experience based on trying the sensitive formula and lashes coming off by the numbers. My natural lashes were still in tact. Anyway, this averages out to 3 stars IMO. However, this is no reflection of Lisa's professionalism and skill. I would give 5 stars there if I could. The second set just did not work for me and left me extremely disappointed. I have contacted Lisa as I miss having lashes. I asked if she would recommend that I give it another try. So thankful and happy to report that I now have a hairdresser in Camarillo! We all know how tough it can be to find that perfect hairdresser that just knows you and knows your hair. Well I found her this weekend at Eye Candy! Courtney was fantastic and made me feel super comfortable as we chatted away as she cut and colored my hair. She gave me tips and taught me tricks about maintaining a healthy head of hair. Best of all she made me feel beautiful again! I walked out of there with some pep in my step and color in my hair. This was my first time getting eyelash extensions. After this experience I can highly recommend Cortney! I wanted my lashes done before the weekend, I called Thursday night and they were able to schedule me for the next morning. First impression as the place was very clean, cute, and smelled wonderful! All of the staff that I met were super nice. The table which you lay on was extremely comfortable. The whole process for me was an hour and 30 minutes. My eyes were never irritated or red and are feeling fine! They have a special mascara if you want (non-oil base) but I dont need it! You cant get them wet for 24 hours and they gave me an eyelash wand to comb them morning and after showers. No! I used to live bi-coastal and as such had eyelash extensions routinely in wonderful small one person shops in NYC and San Francisco ... And all I can say is do not come here for extensions! Here's why: 1. My real eyelashes fell out after about 2 weeks! I look ridiculous still 5 weeks later and honestly have no idea if my real lashes will grow back or fill in! 2. The products used here are sub par and cheap. This is not the best stuff on the market from purely a look and feel... Couple that with my eyelashes falling out and hopefully enough said Please do not go here... You have been warned! read more

After some long deliberation and researching places to get eye lash extensions I settled on Eye Candy Beauty Spa with Lisa. It turned out to be the best decision I made. At first I was skeptical about the pricing (but only because I was comparing it to Groupon deals and Living Social). $150 was very reasonable for the quality of work that was done on me. Lisa took her time and gave me beautiful lashes that did not cross or lump together. Not even one single lash did this. I've had them on for over a week and only 3-4 lashes had come off, and I was rubbing or cleaning around my eyes. I later found out from other friends who had this done that theirs sometimes ripped off and took chunks off lashes or it would hurt because glue would get in their eyes. One friend even said her lady accidentally glued her eyes shut once. Yikes! While I barely even felt anything when Lisa applied the glue. When I went to get a facial at another beauty spa the lady even had to comment how natural and beautiful my lashes was and had to ask where I got them done. She said they were the best she had ever seen. Needless to say I felt great having my lashes done right before my graduation thanks to Lisa. I will definitely be seeing her in 2 weeks for my fill! The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is I was originally going to have her do some small facial treatment while the lashes were being done. And I wasn't told that she wasn't going to be able to do that part until I arrived. This bummed me out because I could of booked elsewhere for that, if I had knew in advance she couldn't do the job. Unbelievable! What a reprehensible and disrespectful way Lisa treated a prospective client! Called her last Saturday to inquire if she was working outdoors as I needed a lash fill. Knew her from when she worked at her parents' business many years ago. She obviously does not have her parents' integrity and self-respect! How sad! When I called for a consultation (as it was my first time), I got very good advise, they answered all of my questions, and spent the time I needed with me. I was advised to do a trial run a few weeks before my wedding for a couple reasons: to make sure I didn't have a allergic reaction to the adhesive (so smart!!) and to make sure I liked the look I chose. I, in fact, did not like the look I chose, and after talking with Courtney about what I didn't like, she found the perfect lash look for me. She was SO right!! Worst place. Bad experience. Had lashes done a few days ago --babied them, hands off with NO product and today I noticed clumps of fake plasticky nylon with my OWN lashes falling out!! Love this place! The salon is beautifully decorated, clean, and very spacious. Both Cortney & Lisa were easy to get a hold of and responded quickly to messages and texts.
