With crazy schedules it had been almost 18 months since our last visit, despite reminders from Pearl that we were due for updates. As soon as we walked in, amazingly Mya remembered us from last time that long ago. She gave us excellent service and attention, cleaning and adjusting our existing glasses as well as helping to pick out new frames that were very fashionable and affordable. We really value her opinion! Doc was great as always and very informative of their new state of the art digital technology. As he says, the only time he needs a pen throughout the whole visit is for clients to sign form regarding additional testing options. We wont ever go anywhere else for our glasses/exams.

Im been a Pearl Vision customer for many years and today I can say I won't be back. It took 4…read moremonths for them to get my contacts order correct and they still want me to pay for them when everything was paid from the beginning. During the 4 month of waiting for my contacts I was calling them once a week as they keep saying that the contacts should be arriving soon and that they will give me a call within the 24 hours to provide an update on my order. They won't keep they promise and never call me back and when I asked for the credit for the old contacts now they just act like this is not going to happen and they don't need to give this credit but wants to take my old contacts back as they are not expired and intact. Very disappointed of them I used to love Pearl Vision but is time to move on.

After a brief wait, I received an efficient expert-level exam and smart conversation with Dr. Brandys. Nice dealing with someone who has personality. The optician's were all great afterwards too. I have 3 sample packs of contacts to try so we get the best match for my VR unit. He gave me near, far and mono lenses and I didn't need to buy any until we figure out which are best. On top of that, everyone was operating with good cheer in what is clearly a healthy work environment. Great find!

Then the ladies kept speaking down to me - and I had to stop them and say "I'm aware of what is going on, I think that you guys aren't communicating with each other so you don't know... but I'm aware." lol So after 30 min, we officially started my ACTUAL exam. It stinks cause the doctor is very nice, but there's just a level of miscommunication that make things really unnecessarily annoying. So I don't truly recommend this place; but I'll come back cause they have my glasses but I plan to go to another store in the future cause I just don't like that they don't know what's happening, they ask me to know rather than read the paperwork and because they also end up taking a long time (my one hour appt turned into 90 min). So this place ain't worth it until they can organize themselves better.

During my visit, the staff repeatedly and aggressively insisted that a $39 Digital Retinal Imaging screening was mandatory to complete my exam. However, their own official intake paperwork explicitly states right at the bottom that it is an "optional additional procedure" with a box to decline it. Forcing or pressuring patients to pay out-of-pocket fees for elective screenings by claiming they are required is incredibly dishonest. When I refused to pay the optional upcharge, they wouldn't budge, so I chose to leave. Watch your paperwork closely if you visit this place.

Dr. Lisa doesn't keep you waiting for your appointment and is thorough throughout her examination. This visit I needed reading glasses for the first time and since I have bifocal Lasik, meaning one eye as farsided and one eye is nearsighted, I needed to get prescription reading glasses. Joy, Taylor and Alice spent so much time helping me pick out the right pair. By the time I was done I had glasses everywhere from trying on so many, but they were pleasant in making me feel comfortable that I made such a mess because I was indecisive. Luckily the girls picked the right pair for me and I went with their suggestion. I definitely recommend Dr. Lisa and Eye Boutique for examinations and contacts or stylish glasses.

I went to see Dr Hashmi at the recommendation of my optometrist because of a potential serious eye…read moreissue. I spent 25 years in the optical industry so I know a good doctor when I meet one. The staff was not very friendly when I went to check in at the desk, I was made to wait 15 minutes, which for an ophthalmologist office that should be expected. But the technician that took me back for the pretesting was cold, impersonal, and with some of the testing that he did I did not feel very comfortable with the procedures that he used. There is a specialized test called a visual field that needs to be done for the type of issue that I was going in for. It is a specialized machine, he did this lame unprofessional type of test with his finger. The type that your physician does when they are doing a yearly physical on you just to check how your eyes react. When I specifically asked him if they were putting me in the machine to test me he said that he was not going to do a standard visual field test, he said they do not find it that's necessary. It did not give me a very good feeling at that point. When Dr Hashmi came in she flew in like she was in a rush, she introduced herself, when I told her that I was in the field and that she could be blunt with me and explain everything in normal terms and not have to explain it as though I was person did not know anything about the human eye or anything in that industry, she ignored it. When the technician initially did what is called a Goldman tonometry test which checks for glaucoma or rather pressures in the eye that could show up a possible diagnosis of glaucoma, he came up with a high number, when the doctor did the exact same test she came up with a number that was six points lower. The time between the two tests was 10 to 15 minutes. Her result was absolutely nowhere near what both the initial result from my optometrist was and from what the technician got. She had a six-point different result. With glaucoma you do not have a six-point drop in a 15 minute period from the previous test. The doctor spent approximately 7 minutes with me. I did not feel comfortable with her diagnosis when she stated that I was fine and didn't need to worry about anything. At that point I decided that I was going to go for a second opinion, the next practice that I went to was concise, thorough, and the doctor spent almost an hour with me versus 7 minutes. I do not in any way shape or form recommend this office. I also found out after the fact from someone who has worked with this practice that they appear to be "on the shady side". I honestly wish that I had heard that prior to going to this particular practice. I never would have gone.
