We stopped here for gas both times but I went in both times to use the restroom and purchase some coffee. Both times we visited, it was very busy. The first time I went to use the restroom, the non-handicapped stall was a disaster and I could not get the toilet paper out, which I think the roll was too large for the holder. It was dirty anyway, with possible feces and urine on the floor so I waited for the handicap stall to open. It was occupied by an employee that took some time in there. Maybe cleaning? That stall was clean so I used that. I then went purchased a couple of snacks and a coffee. The second visit, the store was more busy and there was a line for the restroom. The line was moving but there were about 4 of us waiting at a time. Then I went to get coffee. No Cuban roast or any dark roast. I moved on to check the medium roasts, all those were empty too. I was standing there waiting for the coffee employee to come over but she never did. Another staff member (possibly a manager) walked through and didn't ask if I needed anything. So I threw out the cup with the couple of drops of coffee and walked out. I hope by the next time we do visit, there will be improvements. I believe this store was new but I have yet to visit a new Wawa that was lacking.

So, this visit at the Valdosta location, was good, but not great. I used the app to order a few sandwiches and drinks. I enjoy the app because there is always some type of special deal to choose from. We ordered one combo( hot sandwich/chips/drinks) and one cold sandwich and an iced coffee. The price (using app coupons) cannot be beat! $15 for two of us to have lunch, but the sandwiches are so big, neither of us could finish them. The part that is lacking at this location is manpower. The ladies behind the counter were all working at a feverish pace, but I counted 21 people waiting for their food and/or drinks. Maybe they should staff a few more people on the weekend during peak lunch times. I will say that the sandwiches were perfectly made, delicious and huge. My iced coffee was also spot on. All in all, I waited almost 20 minutes past the pickup time. Hence the 4 stars instead of 5. They've only been open about 7 weeks so I'm sure they'll get the kinks worked out soon.

There is construction going on around the place that made it harder to get in and out of, but once that is finished it will be quite convenient as you drive straight out of the lot and onto the I75 access road.

They were all busy doing something...helping customers, organizing merchandise, hanging items, etc. I had the impression that the business was under new ownership or reinventing itself. As I made my way to the restrooms, I noticed that along the walls/window were a plethora of tourist trinkets and t-shirts. The bathrooms offered two stalls,not sparkling clean but useable.On my way from the restrooms to the coolers for a water, that's when I noticed the slot machines. Nah...really? This was adjacent to the cashier station where all of the scratch offs were hanging...so yeah I'm thinking slots and not old school video games. As I keep going, this is when I really notice the licensed Subway sandwich shop counter. Not sure how I missed this as it should be the first thing you see when you walk in the door and typically Subways cook something that I find smell of off-putting. I can usually smell a Subway before I see it. Not this time. Next to the sub counter, they have the (?electronic) ice cream station. Oh yeah, I did see a few ice cream advertisements on my way in. Interesting. Eventually, after passing more trinkets and figurines, I made it to the section of cold drinks and snacks. Standard as station fare here. I purchased my water. Finally, back at the pump, I was ready to top off my gas tank. I swiped my card. Pump said that I needed to see cashier. Strange, I just used this card inside. So I swiped a different card. Same thing. I didn't feel like going back inside and guessing how much fuel to purchase, so I just got in my car and left. I purchased gas at a different exit.

I noticed they have a Southern-style deli called Eats, which was offering a $5 lunch special: two drumsticks, a side, and a drink. My family still wanted Moe's, but I opted for lunch here instead. They were out of drumsticks, so they substituted my chicken. The included drink for the special is a large - the cups next to the deli were extra-large, however. After walking back and forth then finally paid, I sat at Moe's and ate the food. It was incredibly bland - the chicken and green beans. I should have just gone to Moe's as originally planned.
