This is in Five Points on the edge of downtown so it feels gritty and bustling. There is always an off duty peace officer working to help cope with all the hazards of the area, mainly homeless, drug users, prostitutes. Please do not assume it is safe and be on guard. But definitely go to QT over 7-11, Circle K, or Stripes.

The product selection and service is great. On my first visit it felt lived in even though it has only been open days. When I am not here for gas, then I am here to pick up sodas and snacks, there are so many to choose from! My favorite treats include the zero calorie peach tea, the egg rolls, and the pizza!

Calling all beer lovers out there!…read more Are you tired of the same ol' beer brands at your local gas station? Well, look no further because Texaco on Broadway feels more like a beer station, than a gas station! Even though their gas prices are a little high (in my opinion), their beer and wine selection is out of this world. Whenever the hubby feels like a having a new and "interesting" beer, he always visits this Texaco location. They carry a wide selection of Texas beers, but once in a while you can find some very interesting beers that you've probably never seen before. Anyhow! Is your partner not into beer? Not a problem! Because they have a huge selection of wines and hard seltzer.

But, what this does is gives you faith in humanity, a little reminder that not everyone is listing to songs about pickup trucks on dirt roads, auto tuned crap or electronic "music." The inside of this place is what the whole world would sound like if everyone was cool. They also sell things and have gas. Enjoy.

This location opened a few months ago and I have been a few times late at night when I have the munchies and want more variety than Valero or 7-11. One issue is that the fried foods are often fried too long and taste burned. Also, the soda machines are not always calibrated, the soda flavors taste off.

Yes, the lines can get long, especially during peak hours, but that's simply a reflection of how good the prices are. The wait is usually worth the savings, and the lines tend to move steadily. Fueling up is also convenient. You can pay right at the pump using your physical Sam's Club membership card or simply scan your membership through the Sam's Club app, making the process quick and easy. If saving money on gas is a priority, Sam's Club Fuel is hard to beat. Affordable prices, convenient payment options, and a valuable membership benefit keep me coming back.

It's so much easier than waiting in line to checkout. The second thing I like about Sam's is ordering online. I can place my order in the comfort of my home and pull up curbside and retrieve my order. It's SO convenient. Last but certainly not least, I like their products--cases of beverages, frozen foods, cleaning supplies, clothing and so much more. There's quite a lot of products you can buy in bulk to keep you stocked up. They are very good about returns. It can take awhile waiting in line, but there's usually no issues. I love how they keep up with technology. The scan n go, the quick lines. For that reason, I much prefer shopping at Sam's than the other warehouse store.

To make a long story short, I was confronted by an employee (young guy - black - his purple underwear were all hanging out of his pants) who demanded that I put a 12-pack of Dos XX back in the same exact place where I got it from. Normally this wouldn't be an issue, as I would have willingly done this on my own. But since he decided to be negative and rude about it, I basically told him that he should handle it because he worked there, not me. At that point, he became confrontational and started shouting "well you got it out so you should put it back !" Rude! I informed his colleague, who was very nice (complete opposite from the confrontational employee) and also offered the manager for me to speak with. I just decided to let it go, but still feel that I should share my negative experience with others. On a completely separate note, this location is the only Valero I have ever heard of that prominently displays a sign that reads "This location does NOT give out free coffee when the Spurs win." What kind of anti-Spurs BS is that all about!?!? Anyway, NOT recommended. There are plenty of other convenience stores to spend your money at.
