For the uninitiated, this location is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year. That's more than the federal government! This location appears to be a remodel, with their MTO, or made to order options as the crowning jewel. I'm from far north and have been to this location twice in 3 days. So far, this location seems quite consistent with the above observations. We don't get down this way much, but its good to know this location is here should we find ourselves this way again.

Upon arrival, I expected to receive the $0.20 per gallon discount BP is currently offering Amazon Prime members through the Earnify app, a deal I've used successfully for the past two Fridays at this same location. An older Black gentleman, tall and slim, usually assists me with no issue--but he was not there this time. Instead, I was met with shocking unprofessionalism from multiple staff members. The young Black female attendant rolled her eyes, walked away while I was still speaking, and turned her back to continue stocking cigarettes. When I asked her to get the manager, she began speaking through a back door to someone and claimed she was "repeating everything" the manager was saying. I insisted I needed to speak directly with the manager. Eventually, the white female manager came out and was equally dismissive and unhelpful. The situation became embarrassing, especially in front of a store full of customers. I asked for a refund of the $30 I had just paid in cash since I no longer wished to do business there. They struggled at the register for quite some time to give my money back and never offered an apology or explanation. I was not provided with a receipt either. I should also note that there's an Ethiopian man who sometimes works at this location as well, but unfortunately, there's a consistent language barrier and I have a hard time communicating with him during visits. I don't have names, so I've had to describe the individuals involved. After this humiliating experience, I drove to another nearby BP hoping to still redeem the promotion. While the attendant there did try to assist me, he was also unable to apply the discount--so I ended up paying full price at $2.99/gallon. I have multiple promotional emails and screenshots proving this deal is active. If BP cannot honor these promotions across locations, they should not advertise them. This is unacceptable and incredibly frustrating. I am requesting: * A formal apology * A phone call from the store owner or district manager * A complimentary gift card for the inconvenience, wasted gas, and time. I was late getting to my destination due to this unnecessary and unprofessional ordeal. I've also written BP corporate offices about this disgusting experience.

Almost never, as in rarely, have to wait to pull up to the pump...and then it might be behind one car already pumping their gas...so VERY different from Costco experience and it's not at all convenient traveling to that midtown store location not to mention the crazy lines you must wait in at their pumps!!! I don't know how prices compare but the convenience of BJ's location and the hassle free experience is worth any possible cost difference to me. I pay it off every month so no finance charges on credit card...AND I also get credit for purchases so I can then apply to future in-store purchases...a win-win all the way around to me!

Currently, they have a burger, fried chicken, sandwich and pizza options, along with a coffee stand in the middle. The food itself is mediocre most times, but at midnight everything tastes so much better. I mean, a midnight tuna sandwich has not tasted better before. Its proximity close to RDU makes it an appealing place to hang out while you wait to pick someone up from their flight, or grab a bite if you are flying home late. They also have monitors that track all of the flights, pretty neat in my opinion. The rest of the building is just a nice gas station, tons of snack options, drinks you've never heard of, and pure vibes. What is not to love about this place?

After getting the money, I saw the cold drinks beside the ATM and decided one would hit the spot, so I grabbed one. I did have a special request upon making the transaction, to have my change back in 1's (I understand and appreciate it's an unusual request). However, I was told something to the effect of... sure, why not, I'm just low on change now and we will just run of change later in the night... BUT as the attendant is actually counting the 1's out to me. Then as everything is complete, the attendant helps push over the change and drink to me saying "Thank you for banking with us today." Again, I think No would have been more acceptable than this exchange. I decided not to pursue it there as there were other customers waiting, and no need to make a bigger scene. I can appreciate if someone has a bad day, and I may have hit this place at such a time for the attendant. But I wasn't impressed with the interaction, I am not sure smarting off to a customer is really called for instead of a regular exchange. Bottom line: Extremely disappointing customer service exchange. I would say I'm going to avoid going inside to this mart in the future.

Well, this Shell is only 10 cents over much of VA, and I decided to just fill up and not worry about it tomorrow. It's incredibly convenient if you have a rental to return at the airport - just 2-3 minutes off I-40, or right on the way back if you're coming from anywhere west of RDU.
