My mum calls this crack chicken…read more. By far, the best fried chicken! There's always a line running out the door. The restaurant isn't anything too special as its attached to a gas station. Though, like I mentioned before it's about the food, not how the building looks. My favorite is the spicy white meat chicken that comes straight out of the hot grease. As soon as you bite into the protein, your mouth and tongue is excited to know you chose the right place to dine in besides Popeyes down the way. Spices marinating the whole chicken masked in disguise even with the brown crunchy skin. Just thinking of it my mouth is watering. Even the fries are delicious--Cajun style that doesn't skip a bathing of seasonings, not an over abundance, but just right.

Have also talked with friends and they have had the same experience. I wonder if the owners care, or that is just the way they run their business. Such a shame. For service rating is one star. The buffet was laid out like a momma's house from the old days! The South's hidden gem cooked and prepared this masterpiece buffet FROM SCRATCH! This little framed woman with strong, tiny brown hands, come out the door with a 50 pound tray of hand crafted fried pork chops. Black eyed peas, corn bread, squash, butter beans, peach cobbler, banana pudding and so much more made by her! We never tip the cooks but there was no way I was going to walk out and at least not tip and hug her! She would make Gordon Ramsey cry! It makes me sad that people can't season food like her anymore! I got out about 5-7 mins after to use the restroom because at this point I had to use the restroom as well. Soon as I walk into the restroom the cashier and I'm assuming her husband ( due to the same heavy accent). Mind you we had been on the road for about 24 hours our last stop was about 5 hours before this stop. The husband and his wife questioning me "is that boy with you?" I said yes why? They asked he's been in there 10-15 mins is he sleep? No he's not sleep. He's been texting we were texting back and forth since I got back in there. They continued to chime in together well he needs to hurry they have other customers waiting to use the restroom. Their was only one older gentleman that was waiting and he was just waiting. He said as well that he was waiting he was just making that the person was alright. Mind you the only restroom that was working was the woman's. They clearly had issues before because they had signs on the doors saying for only paid customers. After I bought my two smart waters I went to use the restroom and called him as I was walking up to let him know what was going on. Once I began using the restroom I saw this bathroom is filthy. They literally had a black spider crawling towards me. It was very disgusting. Their whole approach was disgusting. I had just woken up as it was my turn to rest and woke up to being greeted like that. I did not know that restrooms had a timer on the paying customers use of the restrooms.
