What made this experience particularly upsetting was Robin's attitude. Throughout the interaction, she rolled her eyes, huffed and puffed, and spoke to me in a way that felt argumentative and dismissive. I understand that employees must follow company policies, and I was not upset about the policy itself. My concern is with how I was treated. Another employee or manager became involved and suggested calling customer support to process a refund, though they were unable to tell me how long that would take. During this entire interaction, Robin continued displaying visible frustration and annoyance. Thankfully, a very kind customer standing behind me stepped in and paid the remaining $1.22 for me. His generosity turned an embarrassing situation into one that could finally be resolved. Afterward, I confirmed that I would still be able to receive the full $15 on Pump 8, and I left.
