Eggs are cheap and TXB acts like they are still $6.00 a dozen. And you cant tell me the cost is labor based because your labor cost is no different than anyone else who sells Breakfast tacos. What everyone is paying for is the TXB branding. Take a look at all the TXB merchandise, crazy price! From ball caps to t-shirts to taco and drinks. People dont expect Walmart pricing but stop robbing people. Two words I would like to share, QUALITY: Make sure you are selling a product that is worth the dollar. One more thing, stopped in a TBX while heading to the lake, How in the heck can TXB feel good about themselves selling ice for 4.00 a bag? Im guessing the bags are $3.50, because water used to make ice cant be anymore than .50 cents a bag. The bags are nice! Customer paying for TXB branding maybe? I walked 20 feet with that $3.50 bag, opened the bag, threw the ice in my ice chest and the bag went straight into your trash can. Believe it or not a lot of people do the same thing! But they probably have about another week before it is fully stocked. The rows of snacks were all full and the refrigerators were all full with cold beverages but they don't have any hot cooked food yet. Again, it seems as though today might have even been the first day and no doubt, they will likely be fully up and running in a few days. But if you need gas, a snack or a drink... they are ready.

Just so you know, this was the lowest gas price I saw on my entire TX trip. When I tried to check-in into Shell on Yelp, I couldn't find it. However, Big Daddy's showed up on Yelp and it was the food mart that was part of the Shell station. So here I am doing a review for Shell under Big Daddy's LOL, but actual name is Big D's Food Mart. It's a clean 7-Eleven, inside and out. The inside has your typical selections of snacks and drinks and maybe a little larger than a typical 7-Eleven. I did try a hotdog once and the buns are cold and fall apart. Also had a slice of pizza and I would never do that again. Just stick to the pre-packed food/snacks if you have to get something. My biggest complaint though is the gas pumps and no receipts. This is a ploy many stations use to force you to come into the store and thereby, more than likely get you to buy something. There is NO reason for the gas pumps to be out of paper and/or not dispense receipts right at the pump. But again, if you want a receipt, they force you to go inside, wasting time and of course, in hopes you will purchase something else. There is another gas station within 2 minutes of this 7-Eleven right on 281. They have the same prices but you will get a receipt at the pump. If you aren't someone who needs a receipt, this is certainly a convenient place to stop off. But, if you have to keep receipts, as many do these days, for now, I would avoid. Hopefully in the future they will keep the paper stocked and stop forcing customers into the store.
