My cousin Riley who owns Riley's Auto Detail place recommended to my mom that I should take Chester (my truck) to Danny at A&D Wheel Alignment in Blueberry Hill (suburb of Beeville). I was told A&D' s work really do live up to their reputation. So with that verbal recommendation, I took my truck to A&D Wheel Alignment. For the type of truck I have and year, it was less than $100. Danny seems really nice and recommended another thing I need done to my truck. He told me the cheapest way to go get it done, yet done right. For someone who travels ALOT for work EVERYDAY out of town. I need those sort of recommendations to keep my vehicle in top shape (for an older truck). The alignment didn't take that long and I personally feel that his customer service was top notch and the quality of his work reflected the same. For anyone in the Beeville area or not in the Beeville area - I do recommend you to go to A&D Wheel Alignment if you need your alignment done. I really don't know what all else he does, but if he does it... TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO HIM. No appointment needed, first come first serve. So get there early. :-)

It was busy at the pumps, the price and availability probably influenced that. I do not know if this is a connection to the low price- but Valero has the Three River Refinery working right across the street. A quick stop for fuel and restrooms, and we were on our way.

After meeting with their wonderful & affable judge, we stopped here for gas & snacks. This used to be the Pilot Travel Center. Shell is the servicing gas station now. I recall many years ago you'd see Stuckey's and Howard Johnson's peppering the highways as you trekked cross country. Then they disappeared. Stuckey's had a resurgence when Stephanie Stuckey, the granddaughter of the founder, took over and there are now 65 licensed locations like this in Tilden. This Stuckey's is huge but not as vast as iconic Buc-ee's. It was very clean, organized, and brightly lit. The restroom was pristine. Of course, I had to buy pecans & their famous pecan roll. We purchased some sodas & water, too. Their famous pecan roll satisfied my sweet tooth, so yummy. The young man, who checked out my purchases was very friendly. The gas was so affordable compared to California! This was a nice visit and a terrific stop before our return to Austin.

When you pay at the pump what you are looking for is a relatively clean and safe environment with an overhand in case its raining. A pump that works with reasonably priced gas and a printed receipt. This place really did well except the receipt would not print. I had to go inside to get the receipt which was not that big of a deal. But the entire point to a Pay at the Pump is convenience and not being required to go inside.
