HMMMMM.... wait, that doesn't make much sense. Let me get this straight, if the product is defective and broke on first use, how would it ever be resellable? BUuuuuuut if I did have a receipt, suddenly the broken leash is acceptable for exchange? The logic just didn't add up. Miah then insisted on stressing "store policy" and that she could lose her job for making an exception. But isn't store policy to satisfy your customers and provide them with an experience that makes them want to return. That's hard to believe that taking care of a customer over a clearly defective $20 item would be a fireable offense. Come on guys, where is the use of basic common sense. The most disappointing is that I've been a loyal Buc-ee's customer. Every year before visiting family overseas, we spend $100's of dollars on Buc-ee's merchandise, snacks, and gifts to take with us. It's been a tradition, one that ended today. Completely shocked that a company valued at over $2 Billion would choose to stand firm over a $20 defective leash. How about you guys do a better job training management to handle situations like this with a little flexibility and customer-first thinking vs. scaring them into losing their jobs, which loses customers! Masks required, social distancing enforced, and staff is pleasant keeping busy. Just down the road in Wharton is a new Bucky's. But if you need a new GPS and head gear, this might be your stop. It's probably not as enormous and spectacular as some of the ones that are built along the major highways in the really busy parts of Texas, but is still very much worth your time. Coming to Buc-ee's always makes me happy. My girlfriend likes it even more than I do, so you can say that we're both massive fans and will definitely be back here many times in the future. It's about one tenth the size of the major ones, it's how it all started. It's a piece of history. Not too far from Galveston, oh Galveston, as Glen Campbell would say.
