Yelp really needs to give this place/page a once over and review these reviews. I was on another leg of my road trip and needed to get fuel. Being where I was on my trip, I just took the exit in hopes of a gas station being here. There is not much options when you get off the exit so you kind of just roll in here and deal with it. To note: I did not go inside the store as I was just looking to get fuel and move on. To me, there were no frills here. It's your run of the mill gas station along a highway in hopes of people pulling off to fuel up their vehicles. It does overlook the entrance of the Delta Heritage Center which is home to the Tina Turner Museum. Shell is the fuel that is offered, prices are what is to be expected. I fueled up and was ready to move on to the next stop.

The burger is fresh, never frozen, and was quite tasty, although the home fries were undercooked. But I did not mind, because the waitress was literally the most friendly I had experienced in awhile. There is a full menu, a hot food and soup/salad buffet, and plenty of home cooked pies for dessert. I grabbed a piece of pecan to go. In between Jackson and Memphis on I-40, this is a fun place to stop to grab a bite. While it would normally be 3 star, it received an extra star because it remains a friendly, clean, consistent dining spot in the area. Recommended.

First off, it is now called "the grass stop" which if it's supposed to be better marketing, it's a no. Second, the environment already feels weird, and as soon as you walk in you understand why. Run down, empty, and overall just not worth walking into. The employees were standoff-ish, and there may have been two people working. I couldn't tell. At least they have an IPad you can gamble on. The trail to the restroom is insane. Look at the pictures I provided because I am not lying when I say i thought I was going to get GOT. It's dark, old, smells horrible, and looks like it hasn't gotten anything new since 1960. The door to the bathroom doesn't open all the way, so if you have a disability or trouble walking it WILL BE a challenge. The door also doesn't lock, so bring someone with you to guard the door with their life. The toilet is on a platform, but the toilet paper is below it, and let's just say I almost ate the floor to wipe my bum. The writing on the wall doesnt help; not very comforting. They did have cameras, but not sure if they were for safety, or for personal gain. There was none in the room where the bathroom and employees only is. One positive is that the sink does function well! Overall, this quick stop turned into a life-long memory that ruined my day, and I will not be back.

To get to the bathroom you walk through a closed-down restaurant, which feels less like a truck stop and more like a post-apocalyptic scavenger run. The hot case food looks like it was cooked days ago and left on display until someone's brave enough to gamble their GI tract. Even the prepackaged stuff and milk had expiration dates in the rearview mirror. Oh, and yes, there's a motel attached with weekly rates -- if that doesn't paint the picture, nothing will. Bottom line: free parking, but everything else is a dice roll between "mild inconvenience" and "questionable life choices." Two stars because I didn't die.

I went to the McDonald's side & told a clerk & she informed that it wasn't their bathrooms. I'm sure their customer use them also. I told her an elderly lady was in there having trouble. She then walked to the store clerk. There were only extra large cups at soda dispenser. All clerks were either on their phones or talking to family & friends. This use to be a nice stop but no more. I'll be sending a complaint to McDonald's also.
