I recall that because I took my car there once to get it fixed. I suppose that's not too far of a stretch to replace it with a gas station and convenience store. They picked a good location as this sits at the corner or what used to be a very busy intersection. Since they extended four lane portion of Route 40 I would assume a lot of the traffic just kind of bypasses this now. I believe this was a much needed business in this area. There wasn't much selection if I recall correctly. The setup inside and out is your typical setup for a Sheetz. Enough pumps to handle a rush, enough touchscreens inside to handle a rush as well. The one added bonus of this location, if you can call it that, is that they have three PNC ATMs located behind the building for banking business. I'm guessing that was part of the stipulation for building the property. Not only did it take up the garage business, but a PNC branch office as well.

After standing there for a few, watched an employee buy something for herself and completely ignore me. Was told by another employee I couldn't buy alcohol at self checkout, no shit Sherlock. Told him that I knew but no one was at the registers and I have no clue on how to get any assistance. When I went to go finally get my pickup order, I was missing my Pepsi and instead of a 20 oz Red Bull they gave me a 12. I just went back in and got what I needed and returned what I didn't want which was the 12 oz. Absolutely pathetic excuse of a Sheetz. My left pink toe could run it better than that poor shit of a staff, and I don't have a pinky toe anymore.

I decided to take a trip down memory lane recently. I made a voyage to my alma mater. While in…read moretown I decided to also venture and see what the town had transformed into. Lots has changed, but not this place. When I was in college Kwik Fill had did a complete rebuild to make it look like it does today. Since the rebuild, does not look like much has changed. Maybe the building aged a bit, but that's about all. It is the only gas station in town. Also one of the few places to get items that are convenient. Hot food is also available if you are up for some gas station fare. Back in the day I remember coming here for some chicken strips and fries. Typical items you would find in a gas station convenience store. Typical service as well. Attentive as expected, but it seems like a bit of a joking atmosphere. Lots of joking between employees, and some of the regulars that stop in here. It appears to be a frequent spot for local authorities. You have to give it to them. It is a needed place in town and it has served its purpose all those years.

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. The first gas pump we pulled up to was out of service. There…read morewas a plastic bag attached to the pump saying "out of service" which was initially extremely unnoticeable. Upon pulling up to the next pump ahead, the transaction machine indicated that the pump does not take card, which required entering the store to pay in cash. Over all, this gas station is an oxymoron, in that it was not "KWIK" by any means. Will not be returning to this station... I'd rather drive out of the area to a gas station with more accessible gas pumps, and better customer service during times of inconvenience.

As part of the Visit PA 2023 Scooped Ice Cream Trail, I made my way to New Salem…read more It was an over hill over dale trip. The local churches must have just let out. Several families came in with one focus ... ice cream. Cones, quarts, and gallons were sailing out the door. I sat outside on a bench and totally enjoyed my ice cream. One family joined me on the benches. They said stopping for Jackson Dairy was a mandatory stop on the way to and from grandparents' house in Laurel Caverns. Getting gas to make the trip home was 1 stop shopping.
