Drew has been such an amazing cat caregiver for my crew of fuzzballs for the past several years…read morethat I've decided I can never move out of the area. If you're looking for someone with a genuine love of and connection to cats, who is very experienced with cat behavior and health issues, and who is supremely trustworthy and reliable - look no further than Drew. Before I met Drew I spent so much time on Yelp contacting other pet sitters in the area and they all seemed like they were mostly dog-oriented and just tolerated cats and would be only dropping by to make sure my cats were alive. Then I contacted Drew and I knew right away she was special - she actually adores cats and her primary concern is getting to know your cats' individual needs and quirks and providing the best comprehensive care possible while putting your mind at ease with daily checks-ins and photos. (She also owns a photography business and you can hire her for an epic pet photo session!) Drew regularly takes care of my guys, whether I'm busy for one day or away for a longer trip. Under anyone else's care, I'd worry about their individual dietary and behavioral needs - I have a picky older cat with anxiety and urinary issues, a goofy black cat with a sensitive tummy and a history of eating inedible objects and getting the occasional ear infection, and a young, spunky one-eyed cat who once had an injured leg. Not only has Drew gotten to know each of their personalities and connected with them like they're her own pets (they greet her at the door), she has expertly attended to their occasional extra needs and has on multiple occasions taken the time to talk me through my concerns about their issues. In addition to being a cat owner herself, Drew has experience working at clinics and rescues and volunteers her time at a cat sanctuary so I thoroughly trust her input and consider her a valued care companion and part of our pet family. My cats (and I) absolutely adore Drew and there's just no better feeling when you're away than total peace of mind that your fur family is receiving the best possible care. 5 stars, 10/10. Thank you, Drew!

I brought my puppy here for socialization class and came back for their membership training…read moreclasses. Cassi and Lindsay have been great trainers and I have noticed a difference in our dogs. They use positive reinforcement for their training method. Midtown Mutts also offers dog walking, 1:1 sessions and pet sitting. My neighbor uses them for pet sitting and she loves them. You pay based on how many visits and the length of time you want them to stay. They take pictures everyday they visit to show you how your pet was that day. Pros: they have a membership and you can choose 1 or 5 classes a month. These classes don't roll over if you don't use them - I made the mistake of thinking they do. They have a calendar where it lists the classes, time and topic. The calendar is a bit clunky and confusing so it takes a bit to figure out how to navigate. If they don't have too many people sign up and you need help in a certain area, they accommodate your request. They have answered my numerous questions and been very patient. I can say my puppy REALLY enjoyed class because he was showered with treats also as a lab, he never turns food down! Cons: if there is a large class and the gym in the same business structure is busy, parking can be a bit hard to find.

KP is wonderful! We adopted a rescue Terrier Poodle mix named Toby and found that he had some mild…read moreseparation anxiety. My partner and I both work full time and were in a pinch come Monday morning. I Yelped dog walkers in our neighborhood (midtown/ downtown Sacramento), called a few places, and left messages hoping for a small morning miracle. KP to the rescue! KP, owner of Sac Dog Walkers, was the first one to get back to me (just a few minutes after I called) and we set up a time and place to meet about 30 minutes later. We met at a local midtown park and he took his time to meet Toby, walk around the park with him, see his personality. They were a great match from the start. KP has a very down-to-earth, friendly, and trustworthy demeanor and energy. If I had any immediate gut feelings, I would have looked elsewhere. I mean, this person comes into your home and takes care of your furry loved one... gotta have trust! Toby really liked him as did I immediately- so we walked to our apartment, showed him the layout and Toby's kennel, made copies of our apartment keys at Ace and bam- he became our regular 5-day dog walker. It's been 3 months, and we've not had one issue with KP. He texts pictures and videos of Toby every day and even takes him to the dog park with his pup friends for an hour/ hour an a half at no extra charge. He gets to exercise, play with friends, socialize, practice good leash walking, and goes to the bathroom. KP's normal 30-minute rate is $20/ half hour walk, but $18 if you're a regular (4-5 walks per week like us). He invoices every 2 weeks and just leaves the print-out on our dining table. Very convenient. He has also picked Toby up from his groomer and has been able to walk him twice in one day on very short notice when we've had emergencies or just had to stay late at the office. KP even snapped a pic and then cleaned up an accident very thoroughly that Toby left on the couch. Great! I 100% recommend KP if you are looking for someone reliable, dependable, and communicative to come into your home (your home!) and take care of your furry little friend.

KP is the best! He's great with our dog and really helps Mick burn off his excess energy…read more KP is accommodating and flexible with our schedule. We can't say KP's name or say anything about Mick's friend coming over, dog park, or Callie (his best friend). If we do Mick will stand by the door until KP comes by to pick him up...even if it's a couple hours wait.

After over 2 years of taking my highly energetic labradoodle to Grateful Dog Daycare for grooming…read moreand daycare, I can still say they're still just as great to her. Every time we say the word "daycare", her ears perk up, eyes light up, and tail wags uncontrollably. She absolutely loves this place, and as soon as we hand over the leash, she doesn't even look back to say bye. Is this how it feels to drop off your children on their first day at school? :( A few things to note for those who have never taken their pup to a cageless facility: - They require a temperament test to ensure your dog gets along with all others. No one wants to see dogs fighting or injuries. If your dog does end up getting into a scuffle, they will likely ask you to not bring them in for a while and come back for another temperament test. I've never had this happen with my pup but have heard of this occurring to others, which makes sense to me. - Your dog will come home smelly, so deal with it! It's a dog playground where they run around, pee, poo, and step in each other's pee and poop. Don't expect your dog to come home smelling like rainbows and unicorns. I've always opted for a discounted bath just before picking up my dog or they can sometimes spritz your pup with a perfume. - The prices are high, but the staff is so attentive and helpful. When I first became a customer 2 years ago, the staff was so amazing and always recognized my dog whenever she came in. Whenever I walked through the door, they knew exactly who my pup was. Nowadays, they've had a bit more turnover and more staff, so it's understandable that we aren't recognized. Although, I do miss the "Coco's going home from daycare" as soon as I walk through the door. - They take accountability for nearly everything and are very transparent. I've run into issues with picking my dog up a few minutes late due to traffic or emergencies, or they'd mess up on taking away an extra daycare day. They always work with you to try to find a solution to any issue that arises. Grooming has been hit or miss here. I used to always go to Monica, and then Marissa, and the Otilia. Now, their schedules are just so full that it's almost impossible to get something in the books unless it's 1-2 months out. I still can't quite find someone who can properly groom my labradoodle, but her fur grows out so fast that it doesn't always matter that much to me anyway.

1. Check your records- do we ( the company ) know this dog, have they this dog seeking services-…read morebeen boarded here, have they completed the temperament text/interview process ? 2. If someone states MY DOG DOSNT LIke HER FEET TOUCHED - let that mean : their dog doesn't like their feet touched. 3. If there is no reason to suspect the dog is aggressive because the answer to their first question is YES then don't ask..is the dog aggressive ? Try, what happens? How does the dog protest ? I'd then - FOR EXAMPLE respond with- like how I stated- " she tries to scurry /run away and whines - so she has to be held and brought in, why are you asking me if she's aggressive. I see the staff has changed - A LOT- it's not welcoming AT ALL- LIKE AT ALL - Brenda got her nails clipped TODAY but y'all come off unprofessional, way too immature and side on PREJUDICE - prejudice of ppl and dogs. I also do NOT care if a groomer is pregnant or not. And? Then don't come to work /get a new job- don't make that my problem or business. Cuz that means you're asking EACH AND EVERY PERSON who brings in ANY DOG for grooming THATS BEEN THERE BEFORE " is the dog aggressive ." Pretty sure you're not asking EACH AND EVERYONE that- I wasn't asked yesterday.... YESTERDAY when I went in and spoke to at least two of the not so welcoming ppl at the counter today- and emailed her up to date shot records. As I stood there I did it so indent walk off and forget. Ummmm where was a concern then? Shoulda, coulda been asked yesterday when I stated- my girl doesn't let me cut her nails. So I bring her here - I was in there for a good chunk of time - only concern was is rabies 1 year or 3 years - has she been there before... Whatever you gotta do to learn how to speak to ppl- ask questions and handle scared dogs- do that. Practice in the mirror IDK IDC- but there was ample opportunity to ask me when I stated it yesterday- today you saw Brenda and asked- if she was aggressive. That's PREJUDICE. Her profile should answer concerns of her temperament. Brendas nails grow so fast- and nails were so long it was dyer they be cut. So I gambled and let it happen because a more friendly female carried her back. So it seems ok and it was- but now I have the ICK I'll take her somewhere else. Even though it's 2 blocks from our place and we been coming here for years. We can go elsewhere. Go ahead and delete our profile.
