I read through the previous reviews and experienced nothing like what was said. We priced out three different companies prior to going with Extreme Exteriors. Each had their own style, but EE was the most professional and timely. All three companies quoted around the same price range (retaining wall, pool, pool cover, fence, pavers, built in screen). The difference for us was the design consultant's willingness to listen to our wants and make a solution we wanted. The other companies pressed upon us their vision which wasn't received well. We started our project in Nov and it has taken about 3.5 months with most of Dec being too wet to work. Despite the conditions of work, they did a good job keeping the work area clean and were mindful of the neighbors. The project manager for job was great, he was polite, used a messaging system suited for myself and wife and was always responsive to our questions and concerns. I can only take away the previous employees at EE have possibly moved on. I would recommend this company to anyone looking get a pool or outdoor living space. read more

I had such high hopes for Extreme Exteriors to design the landscaping around our new pool, but it turned into Extreme Disappointment. From the exterior of their building to my first meeting with Randy, I was very impressed. But then, he handed everything over to a seemingly junior partner who was completely out of touch with what was discussed at the initial meeting with Randy. He was reluctant to respond, made poor suggestions and was incredibly hard to work with. We spent a lot of money on the initial visit and paying for the 2-D plan, so thought we were committed. Several times, I mentioned to my husband that I thought I should just do the landscaping myself because what they were planning was SO basic and thoughtless for the cost. The initial quote came in so much higher than Randy promised, the installation of plants was very amateur and the follow up was the worst. I had to do the research and recommend the plants. This was the whole reason to hire professionals since I don't know enough about plants/spacing/etc. The installation had to be redone: the mulch was the wrong color, the plants were very unevenly spaced and about 1/3 of the plants had been man-handled too much during the install. (See pictures). The company was reluctant to follow up; one lady only responded via texts; the design manager that was supposed to over-see the project wasn't present the morning of the install. They showed up hours late despite messaging me that they were waiting on me....when they had their wires crossed and the workers were not working on my project at all. It was incredibly hard to pin down a date for install, it kept getting pushed back further and further out. After the install, they refused to do a final walk through or explain how the plants should be watered on the sprinkler system...seemed like this is exactly what the info they should provide given that they installed the plants and warranty them. The final result was super basic and over-priced with a lot of frustration and hounding on our part to get them to fix things or just do things the correct way. I would give this place 0 stars if it were available. We talked to Brandon and we got his bid. We got another bid from another pool company as well. This was in October. Brandon called us a week later and said that they were waiting on permits that were stalled and if we wanted they could go ahead and get our pool done. Since we didn't need permits being in the country, it should be done by Thanksgiving he told us. Great! Let's do it even though the other pool company had a bid that was $30,000 less for the same plan (couldn't start for 4 months though). We weren't getting landscaping or anything. Project started November 8, 2021 and today is December 19, 2021 and it still isn't done. They do not reach out to communicate regularly. They make excuses for the lies they told at the beginning. The project manager contracted COVID, but tell me why nobody picked up the slack? Who works his jobs if he is out sick? NOBODY. Once you sign their contract, you're at their mercy. We were wanting to use our pool over the holidays because it will be heated and the weather is supposed to be in the 80's. That won't happen now because of poor project management. Some other things: We had to clean the pool site up because not one contractor cleaned their mess up. They couldn't pour concrete for the perimeter until it was cleaned. We did that the day after the concrete guy can and it was 7 days until they came to set forms and pour. I was told they were coming on Thursday to set forms then Friday to pour, they showed up on Wednesday which shows you how well they communicate. I need to be here because we have animals and as an owner I feel it is my responsibility to be here because of them. Then nobody showed up on Thursday or Friday. Today is Monday and nobody is coming today either. Electrical work was supposed to be done and we actually did that part too. My neighbor is actually a contractor and helped with a lot of this work. We paid him for this work even though it's supposed to be done according to the contract. Luckily he was here because the concrete guys dumped wet concrete in some ditches we had dug for some other plumbing. He had them dig it all out before they left. Even then they just grew it out on the ground. The guys that did the coping and the fountain left a pallet and a half of flagstone and chicken wire all over the place. It's been a complete mess. We made 2 changes: 1. We added back in a water feature that was taken out at first, 2. We added color to the concrete. Brandon said that was the reason it's taking so long. What a joke! It took 2 days total for the coping and water feature and one day for forms and concrete. This was a blatant lie to put this time management problem back on us. They have a super nice store front in Aledo and in Abilene. Do not let that fool you. They also try to get you to spend $650 on a digital plan that's super cool but not necessary unless you just need the visual to see what it will look like. Veronica at the Aledo store is awesome and really knows customer service. The rest of them could learn from her. read more

I would like to put 0 stars but that's not an option. Unfortunately, I used this company right after they opened their doors in Weatherford 5 years ago and did not know better. I am not seeking any money or additional service from this business. I am merely posting this as a warning to anyone considering using this business. The quality of their work is extremely poor and overpriced. Rock work is shotty and has been falling apart since completion of the project. Landscape lighting very poorly done and no longer functioning. Look elsewhere!!! read more
