I Purchased this service through groupon I left multiple messages over 2 weeks and he never returned any of my calls...Would not recommend

I found Extreme Clean through the Living Social site, where they ran a special which stated exactly "Carpet Clean 3 Rooms - $59.00". My mom lives in assisted care, and she has exactly 3 rooms, so I bought the deal. First problem: On the day of the scheduled cleaning, just a couple of hours before he was to arrive, he had to cancel because he could not "fit it in". He said he would call that night to reschedule. Second problem: He did not call, and 2 days later I called him again. He finally returned my call the next afternoon. Third problem: When he arrived at the facility, he called me to inform me that I needed a "deep extraction cleaning" and that what I had bought was really only just a "spot clean". NOT WHAT WAS ADVERTISED. I needed to pay an additional amount, plus he needed to "disinfect", which would cost even more. I did not want the additional services, only what I had paid for. Fourth problem: He then began to criticize me, saying that "if it were his mother" he would do it. He used an aggressive tone with me, and when I asked him to please just do what the voucher was intended, he finally did. The director at the assisted care facility told me he was only there for 10 - 15 minutes. I called him to question that short length of time spent cleaning the carpet, and he said "3 rooms doesn't take long". A complete rip-off. PLUS an arrogant attitude. Don't use them! read more

Tommy is an idiot! I purchased the Groupon for carpet cleaning with Extreme Clean Memphis. The service was ordered for 12/15/12 and was cancelled due to a higher priority job. The service was rescheduled for 12/16/12 but Tommy (the service hack) called and cancelled since he didn't have the proper supplies to do the job. During our discussion, he said that the service was only a "pre-clean" and didn't include major stains (which he said would be additional to the purchased service). After speaking with this guy, I decided not to use Extreme Clean Memphis because of the two cancellations, lack of supplies and, frankly, Tommy lacked professionalism I would expect for this service. He also talked trash about the other providers like ServiceMaster (which I've had excellent experience with) Fortunately, I was able to get a refund for my Groupon coupon. I am not confident that Extreme Clean Memphis was able to fulfill my order and in order to get my carpets properly cleaned, it will cost much more than I was willing to pay. STAY AWAY FROM EXTREME CLEAN MEMPHIS. This Tommy guy is a real scoundrel and is not worthy of consideration. I'm hoping that Groupon cancelled his service so others won't get lead astray. read more

I have to second Melonie's post. My girlfriend ordered a promotion through Groupon for "One upholstery cleaning for one couch and one loveseat." When I called to schedule the appointment, I was told that since I was outside of 25 miles, that there was a $25 service fee. Confused, I turned to the actual Groupon receipt which said that there would be an "Extra $20 fee for service outside of 30 mile radius from zip code 38135." I thought that I would check just to make sure that we were safe. When I checked Google Maps, we were well within the service area. "No fee", I thought. I called him the morning that they were supposed to arrive just to clear up this issue. He said that he understood, that he had some problems with Groupon "running ads that they weren't supposed to, and that they would be here when they finished the job that they were on." As soon as he arrived, he informed me that it was 32.5 miles from the office from where they had just come from. "Didn't you just leave another job site?", I thought. Whatever. Maybe the job was right near his office. He then proceeds to tell me that the cleaning is only a dry foam clean and that we really need a deep clean (Additional $75). Then, for an extra $50 on top of that, he would disinfect and put a protectant on the couch and love seat. Let's add this up: Groupon (for cleaning of sofa and love seat) - $49 Deep clean - Additional $75 Disinfectant / Protectant - Additional $50 A $50 Groupon would then cost $175. For a sofa and a love seat. I told him just to do what we paid for. He then tried to hit me up for $25. I showed him that we were within the "30-mile radius" that was listed in the ad." He explained that he didn't know what that meant. At this point, I'm debating on kicking him out and demanding a refund from Groupon. I cave and give him $20 so that I don't have to get it when my girlfriend gets home. He "cleans" the sofa and love seat. He may be at the house for 25 minutes and he finishes and bolts. Before leaving, I told him that I was concerned about water spots on the couches. "We don't use water. We use something that dries up and leaves no spots." -- Not exactly what he said, but definitely what he implied. 5 hours later, the couches start to dry. There are DEFINITE water spots and the couches look the same as they did before the cleaning. We were taken. Maybe you should check with someone else. read more

I purchased a Groupon for this company about a month ago & called to schedule an appt. The guy returned my call the following day & told me that b/c it was a Groupon, they would only honor it Monday-Friday, so I scheduled it for a Monday morning. The Friday morning before the cleaning, I called to reschedule b/c I had to go out of town the following day. The man told me he would call me back that evening at 4 pm. He didn't call. Yesterday morning, 3/20, the assistant called & said he was enroute to my house. I told him that I had spoken to another guy on Friday morning & told him that I needed to reschedule for another day the same week. The assistant said that they would call me back & of course, the did not, so I called back yesterday evening & left a polite reminder voicemail. I called back this morning & the assistant answered & told me that he was at the dentist when I called yesterday afternoon but that he told Tommy twice to call me back. He then tells me to call Tommy. I call Tommy & he tells me that I can't reschedule for another week, even though I have contacted them MULTIPLE times. He is extremely rude & arrogant. I then told him that I wanted to cancel my Groupon b/c of the terrible customer service. I'm riding in the car w/ my friend & she's hearing the exchange & looking in disbelief. About 5-10 min later, Tommy calls back & tells me that he is the "coolest guy in the world" & that if he wants to, he can call Groupon & tell them not to refund my Groupon. My mouth fell open & I asked him was he threatening me. He then gets loud on the phone, yells in my ear, & hung up in my face. I have never experienced anything like this in my life. Ppl tell me that I have a heart of gold. My friend was shaking her head in disbelief. Do not use this company. I was able to chat w/ Groupon customer service. Gratefully, Groupon told me that they would give me a credit. I am still shaken from that exchange that only happened an hour ago. Go w/ another company! read more

I ordered the living social deal for 3 rooms and a hallway. As soon as he walked through the door, he told me that the living social package wasn't for a deep clean to remove stains. He said he would basically be spraying a foam sanitizer of my carpet and it would dry up to a dust and I would have to vacuum it once it was dry. Then told me to deep clean and remove stains it was an additional $50 per room. But he was going to take the $50 I paid for the living social deal and subtract it and just charge me $75 to deep clean every thing. I then advised him that we only needed my sons room deep cleaned due to him being potty trained and having accidents on the floor. So to make sureI understood what he was going to charge, I flat out asked him, "Can we get the living social deal as planned, and then pay the additional $25 to have my sons room deep cleaned?" He and the other guy with him said yes, and then he said thats what I just explained to you living social deal and add $25 per room for deep clean. We then agreed for a total charge of $25 in addition to the $50 I paid for living social. He then went out to get his equipment, came back in, and said that its actually $50 additional and i was confused by what he said. I said no I flat out asked you both to make sure it was only $25 additional and you both agreed. He said that they can bill it that way and it has to be $50 because they are going to apply the living social deal to my sons room to give him the deep clean (a room less that 200 square feet) Then charge me $25 for the other two rooms. I again advised thats not the agreement we had a few short minutes ago. The he started yelling at me like I was his child says "I know you understand what Im saying, you just don't want to pay the right price for the room. Basically accused me of talking him into a lower price. So I politely told him to get his shit and leave. Worst customer service ever!!! read more

I purchased a groupon for Extreme Clean in Bartlett, TN for three rooms and a hall way. I had a 3:00 pm appointment. At 1:49 he called and said he would be late and asked if he could come at 4:00pm. OK. He did not arrive until 6:00 pm. When he arrived he informed me I need a deep clean that would cost me an additional $150.00. I informed him I was unable to pay that. I just want what the groupon stated. He reported if cleaned the carpet with the foam it would look like he did not clean the carpet. Stating "if I did the deep cleaning with the de-greaser your carpet would look brand new." He basically refuse to clean the carpet with the foam and suggested I get my money back from groupon. I waited THREE HOURS to be told he would not clean it if I didn't buy a deep clean. Needless to say I did not do a deep clean and I was fortunate enough to receive my money back from groupon. Although I have to wait 10 days to get my money back. I wished I would have read these reviews before I purchased the groupon. read more
