He has absolutely no customer service skills and lacks professionalism. He spoke to me in a very unpleasant manner. So believe me when I say Vans locations this one and the one in glassboro have some of the best barbers in the south jersey area. Since my son is due for a haircut...actually overdue, we are at Extravagance. It is a great barber shop. The staff is always friendly and often funny. You can wait for a certain barber or take whichever barber frees up first. They have a large waiting area and a TV to watch while you wait. Our barber of choice is Sam. Giving this place 2 stars because of the inconsistencies here. I've made appointments every time I've visited here so that I didn't have to wait. Each visit I was made to wait, sometimes over an hour. What is the point of making an appointment if you're made to wait that long? I'm all about taking your time and making sure the cut is spot on but this place needs to plan better! If you're seating walk-ins with people that have a packed book you need to make better decisions. If your barbers are taking longer or frequent breaks which set people back then address it. Part of the issues is these barbers talk shop most of the time which is cool but most of them stop cutting while doing it. Imagine working 8-10 hours a day and through out that day you talk shop for 2 hours total time. That's a few more heads that could have been cut. And to be very honest I don't care to hear about who's better MJ or Lebron. Cut my head and let me go, I got things to do. If you can't multi task then don't get involved in the convo. I would have given this place higher stars if it was managed better or if the cuts I had were spot on. Some were, some weren't. Again, inconsistent. read more

I'm writing this for Mike: to start out with I felt rushed. I felt as thought the gentleman who did my hair spent more time looking at his co workers phone then listening to me. When I asked to please use the razor on my head he ignored me continued what he was doing ana 5 min later said I was done. $23 including tip to be ignored I think NOT! Terrible place to get a haircut. He made an appoint for 12:30 and he checked in with the guy and the guy took 2 people before him and he didn't get a haircut till 1:15. And this isn't the first time he had to wait this long. Service is terrible and they don't go by the book, if someone makes an appointment you get them first then walk ins wait. My go to barbershop for the last 4 years and it isn't changing anytime soon. Whatever cut or style you want they'll be more than happy to give it to you (as long as you have money in your wallet lol), the service is excellent too. From the second I sat down, the barber was pouring his 9/11 and ISIS conspiracy theories on me before switching the topic to religion and how much he knows and how he once got a preacher to quit because of something he said to him. Very uncomfortable the whole time. On top of it, he apparently doesn't know what a "fade" is. He also charged me an extra $4 for chopping off a chunk of my beard, which I did not ask for. After the extra $4, he told me he cut me a deal because it should have been $10 for the beard trim. WTF!? Never again. I'd rather go to SuperCuts. read more
