1 Star -- Very disappointing experience…read more I previously used this moving company earlier this year and had a good enough experience that I decided to use them again to move my parents from South Windsor to Newington. Unfortunately, this time the experience was extremely disappointing. On Sunday, 8/9, I contacted Greg, the owner, and was quoted $139/hour for a 2-man crew. I booked the 2-man crew through the company's website for Tuesday, 8/11, and texted Greg to confirm. He confirmed that we were on the schedule. On the day of the move, three men showed up about 2.5 hours earlier than the scheduled time without calling ahead. After looking at the items, they said they could not do the move that day because they had expected fewer items, were exhausted from another move, and did not have the proper truck/equipment. This was surprising because this was an approximately 850-square-foot condo. We agreed that they would come the following morning. I immediately texted Greg that evening to explain what happened and again pointed out that I had booked a 2-man crew. He never responded. The next morning, the same three men arrived and completed the move. Unfortunately, two pieces of furniture were damaged during the move. The movers apologized and told my parents that they would report the damage to the owner and that we would receive a credit. After the move, I was charged $845, which was significantly higher than expected. Earlier this year, I had paid under $500 for essentially the same items and approximately the same distance. I immediately contacted Greg. He said he wasn't aware of the damaged furniture, told me he would review everything, and asked me to email photos. I sent the photos and an explanation immediately. After that, I repeatedly called and texted without receiving a response. I eventually called from a different phone number, and Greg answered immediately. Once he realized who I was, he said he would review the situation. When I questioned why he had not responded to my previous calls and messages, his attitude changed. He then stated that because three men came to the house, we would be charged for three men, and he ended the call while I was still trying to discuss the issue. I tried calling back several times and left another voicemail. My wife then called from her phone, and he answered that call as well. The biggest issues for me are: I booked and was quoted for a 2-man crew, yet 3 men were sent. There was no advance communication about the change in crew size or the significantly higher charge. Two pieces of furniture were damaged. I was promised that the damage would be reported and addressed, but I have received no follow-up. Despite numerous calls, texts, and voicemails, the owner has not meaningfully addressed my concerns. The final charge of $845 was substantially higher than what I had paid for a similar move earlier this year. I have the booking information, text messages, call logs, photos, videos, and other documentation supporting what happened. I am posting this review because I believe potential customers should be aware of my experience. I would have preferred to resolve this directly with the owner, but after repeated attempts to communicate, I have not received a satisfactory response.

Run away from this company…read more I had a move on May 31st. The movers arrived on time but were frustrated that the move was larger than they were told by management and anticipated to take longer than they were scheduled for. A few items were broken during the move - a TV console, a sentimental handmade mug that was in a box clearly marked "FRAGILE". The workers disregarded my signage and were dropping the fragile boxes on the ground the same as all the other boxes. The workers reassured me that if I reached out to the management, they would reimbursement through insurance claims. At the end of the move the price was way higher than quoted, likely because it was underestimated to begin with. I have emailed and left multiple voicemails over the last two months regarding the broken items and I have not received any communication from the business. After reading the other comments, it seems like not paying for broken items is recurring behavior. Truly corrupt.

They were on time on moving day. Charles, the owner was very accommodating to our multiples requests. The staff was always nice and professional. Packing, loading and unloading times estimated by them were very accurate. Most importantly everything arrived to our new home in very good condition. The price was very reasonable and competitive. The quality of the supplies they used was excellent. It would be very hard to beat this team in quality, professionalism and price.

Charles the owner and his crew are super nice guys. They're awesome. I loved the idea of supporting a young local company working their butts off. And, that they did. They worked hard; it was a long day. But, if you're move is emptying a storage unit, or office equipment, or any space other than a household I'd say these are your guys. Strong, funny, relentlessly hard working, great attitude and commitment. What they are not is competent. If you want them to get near your household furniture and goods, I'm suggesting you find another company. My move did not go smoothly. In the end all of my items did eventually reach my new place but not in the first shot, nor on the same day. In a series of frustrating understandings/mistake what you agree to at one point in the day will not be what happens at another point in the day. All agreements seem to be fluid. When you ask, "what happened?" there's always a "well, such and such came up." Transparently obvious and behind every reason is: poor planning. Whatever Charles' crew thought would work, didn't work. To Charles' defense he did rely on information he received from his crew when he was off site, but the responsibility is still his to accept the crew's misinformation when it doesn't pan out. So, I get it, these are just things that happen and I'm still all for this small company. Our flat agreement of a rate got tossed in the trash; he's gonna pass on his financial errors to me. I say, "no, but I'll split it with you." What am I gonna do?; they still have a truckload of my stuff. I'm from the Midwest where a handshake and agreement is a rock solid bond, anything that's my fault is mine to eat. I'm a freelancer, too. If I misquote, or grossly underestimate, I do not go back to my client. That being said, now I want to mention the household. I have one mid-century piece that I pointed out that I wanted securely blanketed and taken care of and Charles showed up to personally wrap it himself. It travelled well and was unharmed. But then, Charles left. I discussed with his crew a couple of other vintage pieces to be packing-blanket wrapped, also. An Oak filing cabinet, a 1989 Stickley chair and stool, and a 150-year old Shaker rocking chair. They wrapped the filing cabinet and the Stickley chair. 2 out of 4. I watched the rocking chair come off the truck unwrapped at my new place and looked it over - it had one gouge but I wasn't sure if that was there before. Things stacked in the new space and got deep. It was about 11:00 pm and the crew still had a 3 hour drive back, so I did everything I could to tip them and get them on their way. I trusted that they would have told me if anything had been broken. That trust was a mistake. It was about 2 or 3 days later, getting through the stack, when I picked up the Stickley stool. It was broken. Google Stickley furniture and note the price and then note the build. They're built like tanks. I cannot possibly fathom what kind of force it would take to break that stool inside the truck.(see photo) When I asked Charles what he wanted to do about it, he texted, "...the movers confirmed it wasnt done by them and they confirmed before they left." Charles was lied to. Whoever took that stool off the truck made sure it was buried and not to be discovered until later. Charles has offered me $40 to repair the $700 stool. And, I agree with him, it can probably be repaired, but that's not how vintage stays vintage and retains it's worth. This isn't a stool from Ikea. This is an heirloom; it can only be sent back to Stickley to be repaired and that's gonna cost a fortune. I am the third reviewer to point out that Charles does not accept responsibility for his or his crew's errors. He's convinced he does, but, he doesn't. By offering $40 he can sleep at night believing that's integrity and stepping up - it's not. If Charles wishes to do households he should be able to look over a room and spot the Stickley, spot the Shaker, spot the mid-century, spot a real oriental rug, spot the maple and the oak, and tell the difference between Ikea and Henredon. He should be teaching his crew, too. In my experience, he does not have that knack. Now, if you think that I got what I paid for you'd be wrong. Charles' quote was in the range of all the others. I wanted to support him as a small, local business. And, again, I really liked the guy. I specifically said to him when we reviewed all my stuff, that I don't care about the money, I care about the items, so do it right. We agreed to a price and that was that. We both lost, but only one of us is culpable. I cannot recommend Logic for households.

THEY REALLY DESERVE NO STARS!!!!!!!!!!…read more Terrible AWFUL company. Based on the many bad reviews I see this is how they operate on a daily basis and do not care as long as they are collecting the usurious, undisclosed and unauthorized fees they charge. They lie, pull bait & switch antics, change quoted prices and every single employee from Aaron to Julio to Amber to Jessica are nasty, rude & ignorant, not to mention AWFUL at their jobs. They all back up each other's bad behavior and lies every chance they get. They are also terrible at what they are in business for because many of my stored belongings were damaged and broken, including a vintage coffee table they stored on its side and then piled heavy boxes on top of it, breaking one of the legs. Not surprisingly they ignored every attempt I made for restitution. Their unprofessional approach was for both Aaron and Julio to ignore my emails & hang up on me each time I called. This horrible company-which operates eight-8!-moving companies under 8 different names-should be shut down. Why 8, you ask? How else could they stay in business under one name with all the complaints against them?

I want to start by sharing the positive. AMAZING movers. Dominique, Josè, Chris, Shaon, Eric and…read moreAngel were strong, pleasant and worked the whole time, taking great care with my belongings and my home as they moved furniture and boxes. Now the truth about this company. 1. DO NOT USE THEM UNLESS YOU WANT TO SPEND WAY MORE MONEY THAN YOU HAVE TO AND DEAL WITH DIFFICULT MANAGEMENT. For the move out, the crew showed up 4:45 on a Friday evening, 15 minutes before they closed for the weekend. The following expenses resulted from their unavailability. 2. DO NOT STORE WITH THEM. It was at about 8PM, 3 hours after the movers had started packing up the truck, that I learned that the unload took as much time as the packing up, since my belongings were to be stored in small crates that needed to be carefully loaded to maximize the small space. And if $50/month/crate sounds cheap, know that my home (I lived alone!!!) belongings filled 7 of them, for a whopping $350/month (At a storage place same square footage would have been more like $200/month with a quick and easy move in, right there saving a fortune in hourly charges of $180/hour) 2. THEY INSIST ON ALL MONEY UP FRONT...Like I'm going to stiff them when they have my entire home in their truck! Because I was unwilling to pay up front, hoping to be able to leave my belongings elsewhere after learning of the time-consuming unload (At $180/hour) they kept my stuff in the truck and were not available until Monday (Their fault, NOT mine as I tried to call them but they were closed. Remember, the movers showed up 15 minutes before closing on that previous Friday!) They could have/should have called me on Saturday to discuss why i had not paid and what I wanted to do. Clearly they did not because they were closed and had no intention of unloading the truck before zTuesday anyway! They attempted to charge me 4 days of storage on their truck at $200/night. Are you kidding me? Since THEY were unavailable to discuss this new development in my charge, and various options? 3. THEY CANNOT COUNT OR BE TRUSTED TO KEEP THEIR WORD. I was assured that the $350/month was for the 1st month and then would be a daily charge after that. When I was finally ready to move into my next home, I arranged the date (I must say that the owner did make special arrangements to accommodate my move in date. Kudos to Aaron) and as soon as the movers arrived, it was "pay up first' policy. And they attempted to charge me $385 for the partial month. Not only was this not a per diem charge (I was 4 days short of a month, thus should have been 26/30th of $350, or $303), but they could not even remember their normal rate and I had to argue for the $350/month charge (Remember, it was $50/month/crate and supposedly I had filled 7 of them.). I had to pay this $350+8 hours labor up front before they would open the doors of the truck. I was not comfortable paying in advance as that would necessitate trusting that they would refund the overpayment should it take less time. 4. THEY WILL TAKE EVERY SINGLE PENNY THAT THEY CAN. I paid the 8 hours and it took them 7 but they only refunded me $130, NOT $180+4% credit card charge, since it took them 10 minutes to get to me (They drive OLD slow trucks) That's when I asked for the refund on the overpayment on the storage but of course I was denied. Shocking! 4. Again the movers were amazing but I would HIGHLY recommend using another company that has good reviews. Did I mention that only after I began to see the untrustworthiness of this company, did I bother to look at the reviews (MOSTLY BAD and about 2 stars). Believe what you read from the public. We know and can save you a lot of frustration and even money
