To say I recommend Supreme K9 is a massive understatement…read more My one-year-old cattle dog Saoirse is an overwhelmingly loving pup to humans. To other dogs, though? Not so much. When I brought Saoirse to Supreme K9, I was a bit apprehensive, concerned about their methods, the level of success, and whether or not she would return a different dog (I was worried she wouldn't be the same). We initially chose the four-week program and after the second day, I noticed a certain level of obedience that wasn't there before. She already knew your standard commands like "sit" and "come" but getting her to stay still was a challenge. But I noticed an improvement immediately. Unlike most dog training facilities who largely keep you in the dark, one of the most helpful aspects of their strategy is to document their training sessions on Instagram reels where you can watch your dog in class every day. Our main trainer Dina (who is AWESOME) documented her training session with Saoirse almost hourly, so I got to watch their methods, how my pup reacted, and how much she learned daily. I got to learn the commands they used and got to watch in real time my dog transform. We ended up extending the four-week program to six-weeks to allow for even more training. The one-hour weekly owner/dog/trainer sessions were extremely helpful too, training ME how to work with my dog.. not order her around but work WITH her. They gave me all the tools I needed to help my dog continue her path. Once our six week program ended, I have my pup Saoirse back... still the same pup but with a LOT less reactivity toward other dogs... and I myself have learned many techniques and methods to keep her focused and obedient. I can't recommend them enough. Dina, Otto, Evan, Katie, Brian, Artemis... the whole team are amazing to work with and MASSIVELY recommended.

Otta and the team at SupremeK9 were incredibly helpful through the 1 on 1 sessions and the general trainings. Langlang almost does a perfect heel walk all the time now and is generally much more responsive. I think the most important part of the training to be honest was actually their ability to clearly articulate (and show) the steps required to make me a better dog owner. If you've got a dog who needs training, I'd strongly recommend Otto and the team.

The thing about leaving your pets behind is that you are always worried no one can care for them the way you do. Sylvia has put that thought in my mind to rest!! I had to fly to India for an emergency and had to book Sylvia last minute for my baby kitty Deanna. I was leaving her behind in our new home and Deanna is only getting used to the house. Needless to say I was anxious. After a debacle of missing house keys and nervously wondering if my baby was safe, Sylvia came to my rescue and calmed me while I was on the other side of the planet. She got my house locks changed and sent me a lot of videos and pics of my Deanna and only left when she wAs sure that my baby is safe and happy. This is exactly the kind of care all pet parents look for when we call for pet sitters. I can now rest peacefully (and I hadn't for 48 hours due to jet lag and the whole missing keys disaster) knowing my baby is in such good hands. Thank you Sylvia and Like home pet care!! I am so so happy I chose your services!! I give my own gold stars cuz that's what they deserve :)

Mercy does a great job and is very knowledgeable and experienced with animals (I think she used to work/volunteer at an animal shelter). Also, the cost is pretty reasonable. My pup hates baths and the hairdryer, so I know he's probably a challenge, but he seems calm when I've come to pick him up from the spa. After his spa day, he looks adorable and smells great. Also, the second time I brought him to Furry Tails, he was jumping up and down since he was so excited to see Mercy. My only challenge with Furry Tails is street parking around that area is tough, but it's not too big of a deal since I just need to park for 5 min to drop the pup off and pick him up.

I could pickup and drop off any time, which was a godsend. I've toured every pet care facility in Jersey City, and I feel pretty comfortable saying that EDL is the best one. I love that they only take small and gentle dogs--I saw a few dogs get rejected/expelled because their size/temperament wasn't a match. They are way more selective than the other daycare facilities in the area. I guess for some families that would be a problem, but for someone like me with a small, gentle dog, it provided a lot of peace of mind to know my dog was safe. Other things I loved: - Regular outdoor walks through the day (unlike other facilities, which just mop up after the dogs) - James and crew really seem to love the dogs - No reservations needed with corporate month plan - Plenty of carpets and couches felt like home - Can watch my dog play through the window - Never more than ~12 dogs at a time, so it's not too crowded. My only complaints are that I wish there was more space and a webcam feed, but it's not that big of a deal.
