And im sorry to say i really dont have the words for how amazing each item i just listed is. I couldnt recommend any over the other, im sorry, but im not because you can give it a go for yourself. I only mention the carnivore thing because i also had their veggie soup. As someone who avoids veggie-anything, i gotta say - WOW! As filling and amazing as their meat options! Why: an exercise in nostalgia for all the Gen Xers and Millenials who grew up with these. I had walked past this the other day, as it's just down the street from my apartment, and charmed by the nostalgia, I brought my friends to it a few weeks later to try it with them. I struggled to remember the right actions for moves in Street Fighter and Double Dragon, and laughed as I saw people really get serious about Tekken or FIFA or whatever their game of choice was. People really do spend hours and hours playing. I just smiled my way through a few rounds of various games and then sat down to chat with friends. More a one-time trip down memory lane than a likely regular place to visit. But perhaps the concept will find its regulars, and not simply disappear, as so many video games have.

Carette offers a quintessential French brunch in a beautiful cafe setting. There are a few…read morelocations in Paris, but we visited their Bastille location which is right across from the charming Place des Vosges. We had a morning of delicious food and people watching! We ordered their famous Carette hot chocolate with chantilly cream, croissants, scrambled eggs with herbs, quiche lorraine, veggie quiche, and a few espresso drinks to go around. The food was amazing, and the quiche was hands down the best we had anywhere around the world. We were waited on by the friendliest server who made us feel so welcome and ensured we had everything we needed. Prices are a bit steep (quiche and side salad were €19 alone), but if you're looking for a nice place to brunch with friends, Carette is the place to be!
