Does almost decent work. Over priced. Pays too much attention to little children. He should have used suggested bathroom facilities.

Sandstone Gardens - We just missed the lunch crowd. It's a beautiful spot!

Lucky for me, it is open at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday morning as I breezed through Joplin. It's a formidable looking fortress but just be brave and open up one of the massive brown doors. (Entrances aren't really labeled.) I ended up entering through the bistro area. The home decor and kitchen items are maybe a bit pricey but not outrageous. The concrete sculptures (which they make on site) are fantastic. If you want to purchase one, just take a pic of it and they will secure one for you at the check out area. There's also baskets by the check out that you can place all your wares in and no one else can shop through them. But back to the sculptures...they are pretty reasonable and of good quality. If you buy one, you must drive to the back of the property where they make them to pick them up. This would be a five star review (for the retail store) if they had been a bit friendlier and helpful. Maybe we will have time for lunch sometime and up this to five!

We did show up on a recent Saturday when they were packed and were told the wait was about 45 minutes. Well that was okay because there is so much to see and do shopping there. I love this place and can always find things I wish we had in our house. Interior decorators and people who like interesting decoration things for both inside and outside the home should have a good time exploring this decorating wonderland. However, we came back multiple times after one hour (remember they said 45 min). and were repeatedly told we were next. About two hours after we arrived were were finally seated. I balme the customers a bit, there were many tables with people hanging ut waiting mostly for wife to finish shopping. So basically people would come in for lunch, hand out with family and friends and time up a table for hours. Long after they are done eating they continue to sit there and wait while some of the group goes out to shop. I find thse really rude and surprised that the owners don't suggest to people that they hand out elsewhere. Like the many places to sit outside. I get that it puts the owners in a difficult situation because they want to sell decorator stuff. However, they really need to figure this out and find some way to move people off the tables and hanging out somewhere else. Once seated the food was generally good but we didn't have the best waiter the last time we came in. Constantly forgetting things bringing out things wrong, not refilling water, forgetting table setting after asking several times, etc. Although we will come back as everything is good I won't bring a group, just my wife and I and I will not come without planning on loosing half a day waiting for a table, then service. All in were were there four hours! When we really dropped in for lunch.

In our front yard they brought in a truckload if topsoil which desperately needed (over our rocky Neosho soil). Then they used a tractor to spread the soil. Then a crew of men used shovels to hand finish the edges. The last step was to spray hydro seed over the top. Jon is such a pro. He is patient, shows up on time, and honors his price. When I needed him to come back out and make an adjustment, he listened and took it well. To be specific... once I got around to cutting weeds and taking g my fence line, I could see that the new topsoil was too thick at the edges because it was covering a few inches of my fence. Jon brought his crew back, while I was home, and used shovels to adjust the slope, checking with me as they were going, to make sure he was understanding what I wanted it to look like. I'm a realtor and have since used him to repair a deck. I asked him a BIG favor to squeeze me in immediately for the small deck repair job that wouldn't make him much money. He did I it! And he treated that job like it WAS big money. He did more work than necessary, did not charge extra, left the site perfectly clean, and did it all on time and within budget. He is a keeper. I will be using him again and again.

It has been a nightmare working with this company. We paid Meyco $2,800 last summer to spread 3"…read moreof dirt and hydro seed Bermuda grass on two adjoining lawns. My husband and I religiously watered the lawn two to three times a day; however, it was obvious within a few weeks we had bad dirt because the lawns sprouted weeds on at least 70% of the lawn before the grass even began to grow. In the late summer we discovered the lawn was infested with Johnson grass--a noxious grass that is impossible to kill. We had been contacting Meyco throughout the summer. There was very little new dirt; the foundation of the houses were still exposed; and the lawns were nothing but weeds. When the owner finally contacted us, he said he would split the cost of a very expensive, extremely toxic herbicide to kill the Johnson grass. I emailed him questions about the effectiveness of the product, and he never responded the rest of the year. I winterized the weeds and applied weed and feed this spring. Our lawns are now 100% weeds. The only solution the owner offered this year when I contacted him was splitting $420 for the herbicide. The herbicide will not help kill the rest of the weeds. We are now out $2,800, will have to Roundup the entire lawns, pay someone to till up the bad dirt, get new dirt, and reseed it ourselves. We have dealt fairly with the company from the beginning and paid promptly. We asked for advice and help right when we noticed problems. This has been an expensive, frustrating experience for us, and we are only beginning another long, labor-intensive job that could have been remedied last summer if Meyco Landscape and Construction honored their work and cared more for their customers than just cashing their checks.

Nathanial in the paint department just exemplified what NOT TO DO for quality customer service…read more I needed, quickly, to get 3 gallons of paint for the painters at my house, as they were a bit short on paint as they were finishing up the house and trim colors. Almost an hour later, I returned with paint. So much for quick. Nathan was not only slow and proclaimed not know how to use the computer to look up the colors I bought last time, but also had the balls to tell me "a little patience goes a long way" after I was snippy telling him "yes 1 can of the blue color" for the FOURTH time. Literally he could not remember the quantity of 1. So when he asked for the fourth time in a row, I responded "seriously?" I actually thought he must be joking. Then when he told me "patience would go a long way", I was pissed and told him "so would skill". Of course at that point I had a long wait for him to blend my colors. I took the time to speak with a manager who listened. He was patient and friendly and calmed me down. However the one thing he could've done better was not focus on telling me how to bring in the label from the old paint. His solution was focusing on me doing better. I really would've appreciated his focus being on telling me that they care about customer service and that Nathaniel will get some more training and that it should be an easy pleasant process for customers to be return customers.
