We've had our daughter at Extended Love since she was 11 weeks old, the experience has been great so far. The care takers have gotten to know my daughter so well they can pick up on daily changes, if she's in a bad mood, isn't feeling well, or is off her routine. They know my wife and I by name and as I'm walking in/out other care takers know my daughter! We've been very pleased and believe we made the best choice for our child after touring basically every daycare provider in the area. Some are several hundred more a month, and we just didn't feel the value was there to justify that. They use a phone app to provide you a daily picture. You also receive diaper changes, feedings, and notices on your supplies. You can interface with the director and care takers directly on there as well. It's pretty neat! read more

Terrible place to leave your child in there. My child was in two year old class. They show TV on daily basis and they say 2 hours of tv is allowed for 2 years and above. We don't pay them so much for our kids to watch TV there. Few teachers might be good but the bad ones are unbearable. One of the 3 year old class teacher yelled at my child very often. I saw her yelling once I went drop him in the morning. When taken the issue to the director they blamed my child. My child was extremely sad for about 1 year and then we quit extended love as we found them not taking good care of my child. And also mainly because my child was extremely scared to go to the center and he said he was being hurt by the teacher. I still curse myself for putting my child with such horrible people. read more

This place is not a good choice for child care. We just removed my son yesterday. I am assuming the review before this must have been written by a director or staff of Extended Love. I am placing a copy of the letter I wrote their directors today as my review - It's pretty self explanatory: ******************************************* Extended Love Directors, This letter serves to inform you that J will no longer be enrolled at your facility. I am writing this letter because after receiving such an upsetting phone call yesterday, I at least expected to have an Extended Love Director available to talk to me when I arrived to pick up my son. There was no one manning the front desk nor was there any director to be found as I was leaving around 5 pm. I am extremely angry and frustrated that no one even bothered to make it a priority to talk with me. I understand that in the past month J has had a rough time adjusting, but please, do not ever suggest that there is a problem with MY child because he is not able to adapt to YOUR program. You could not have possibly expected an 11 month old to establish any sort of routine when he's bounced from one room to the next in a few short weeks? When J came to your facility a month ago, he was a happy little man. He had been in daycare since he was 6 weeks old and never had an issue. I knew it would be tough to have him adjust to the Chickadee's room as their nap times were very different from his own that he has been on since he was 5 months old. It was difficult for him to switch to naps so early in the AM and PM but we tried. He was in that room a mere 2 weeks before he was uprooted and placed in the Robin's room. We couldn't understand why he was being moved - WE knew he wasn't ready for one nap and we voiced our concerns to staff but nothing was changed. From here, he had an even harder time going from a screwed up Chickadee's schedule to the Robin's "one nap a day" schedule. He managed to do ok and still got two (short) naps in every once in a while. During this whole time he had reoccurring ear infections so I know he may have been difficult but we informed teachers. J had ear surgery to correct the problem a week and a half ago (9/16) and after letting his teachers know before and after several times, I assumed J would get some extra TLC and a little understanding. Instead, when I arrived to pick him up from your care, the day after his surgery, I was met with accusations and hostility from a director and teachers jumping all over me - "What's he like at home"?, "He was really needy today", and "The teachers had to hold him all day"... I could not believe I was even hearing these things! HE JUST HAD SURGERY - Of course he wanted some extra attention - who wouldn't? How dare you and your staff try and make me feel like my son is a problem because he needed a little TLC. Also, that same week (9/19) my son came home with a big lump/ bruise on his forehead. No one said anything to us when we picked him up so my husband and I assumed J had just bumped his head in his crib the night before. The next day, his teacher informed me that J "smacked his head on the linoleum" and she "forgot" to tell me. Really? Does your facility not do accident reports - especially with a head injury? I have never been to a facility that didn't. And then, I receive a phone call from a director yesterday to tell me in a condescending tone, "Can you hear him screaming in the background?", "Maybe he needs a nanny" and "I'm not saying J needs to leave but just that maybe this environment isn't right for him"... You're damn right it's not right for him. You pushed J into two different classes/ schedules in a month's time and didn't even give him a chance get used to anything. You forced too many changes on an 11 month old baby and expected him to get on your "program" in a few short weeks. At what point did you feel like all this was putting my child's needs first? You weren't sympathetic with us OR with him when he had a rough time before/after surgery and the negligence of your staff regarding a head injury is astounding. Your unprofessionalism regarding this whole situation absolutely amazes me. What kind of director even suggests that a child should find care somewhere else? I can only hope that you will read this letter and it opens your eyes - You are taking care of children, the most precious and amazing gifts us parents ever receive! Extended Love has been a second family to us! As we close this chapter in our lives, I look back to 6 1/2 years ago when I was pregnant and my husband and I were going down the 'to do' list to get ready for our first child. Childcare was of the upmost importance and at the top of our list. After visiting many area centers and talking with friends, it was without a doubt, Extended Love was the place to go. That was the best decision we could have made! Both our children thrived at this school and the education and life skills they acquired at such a young age is second to none! This top notch excellence starts with Ann (Director & Founder) and filters through Karen & Linda (Asst. Directors) and through each and every teacher/staff member! Each year, we were amazed at the growth and development each of our sons had achieved. We were quite impressed with the social skills and manners they learned as they grew into toddlers and then little boys. These important lessons were exactly the types of character, learning, and life skills we were working on at home! It was so great to see them practiced/reinforced at Extended Love. Most of all, my husband and I were so blessed our sons could be surrounded with such amazing care and love day each and every day they attended. Our oldest child just finished his first year of Kindergarten and the education and development he got at Extended Love gave him the best start we could have asked for! Today is our youngest's last day at Extended Love and we couldn't be more excited to see him flourish as he enters school in the Fall! Our experience at Extended Love was awesome! My daughters had excellent teachers who engaged them on a daily basis. Every staff member would greet my children by name as they walked down the hallway even if my children had never directly had those staff members as teachers. Extended Love definitely has a family atmosphere! There is a great playground area for the children to play on, family nights, and special field trips. The 4K program is fantastic. My girls are now well prepared for kindergarten! The teachers truly went above and beyond to make sure the children enjoy learning. My daughters loved their teachers, the friends they made, and their time at Extended Love. We are sad to be leaving as we move on to kindergarten, but are blessed to have made so many great memories at Extended Love. I would highly recommend this child development center!!! read more

I recommended this daycare to many people, but after I had my third child that changed. I pulled my son out of this daycare after having his second class room teachers constantly complain about my 3 year old son, never giving any positive feedback and not committing to what the plan was going forward with the teachers, the director, and the other office lady. I read a review very similar to what I recently experienced from Kate P. I even had one of the office ladies accuse me of pretty much lying when I said I was surprised that they were trying to tell me that my son was "aggressive" and said the other teachers from his previous class mentioned it as well. From talking to those teachers who were actually caring they never mentioned anything, but normal toddler naughty behavior when there was any! My son began to change as if he was very unhappy to be there and we pulled him immediately, he is normally very fun loving and a tender hearted little boy, we knew the environment was wrong once this started happening! When entering the daycare there's no engagement from most of the office staff, but maybe 2 who were willing to notice you. Not a very welcoming place anymore, it's sad really that after all these years the only thing they seem concerned with is business and not holding up to their name! I will never recommend this daycare to another, truth be told the second woman in command should not be able to give advice to parents on their children when her approach is so nasty and uncaring, this is a woman who has been there for many years! Very disrespectful and I can bet that I'm not the only parent who has these feelings towards this bitter staff member! Kids don't always adjust to change very well and my son seemed to be one of those children, I was asked to come in and assist in the potty training during my lunch and even asked to do it in the morning when I dropped him off. I thought as a full time mother my job was to continue this at home not do their job for them while he was in their care or while my husband and I were paying them! When responding in the Lets Share app when corresponding with teachers my opinion, advice, or feelings were not welcome only theirs. I called the very day that I was told about this matter to check on my son and after speaking to one of his teachers the office staff member jumped on the phone to tell me that this was going to be discussed at the meeting the next day... Um excuse me, but you don't drop bombs on parents when it comes to their children possibly having concerning matters and expect them to not follow up and to feel the need to bring yourself all the way down to the class room while the teacher is speaking to the parent... Who the hell are you?! No positive feedback from the teachers in his second class room, never engagement unless my husband or I initiated it... My husband and I have since enrolled our son in a daycare we are very happy with, no "aggressive" complaints our son is actually using the restroom there and not holding all day long as he was doing at Extended Love. Many positive changes are taking place as well as feedback from his teachers and it's only been a couple weeks! FYI: Parents who may be experiencing negative feedback on your child I recommend you give Kate P's review a read I'm pretty thrown as to how similar my experience is to her story! This place has no time for children who may act like children and possibly be naughty sometimes, they turn it into the worst situation for your child it is pretty damn sad! read more
