I have occassionally been asked my opinion but I doubt that it matters what I say as long as I agree with my mum and my sister. The shop itself is large and spacious with everything that you would need for a young family from prams and the like to toys, clothes and learning aids for babies and young kids. The staff are all friendly and polite and none of the prices seem extravagant or over the top. Its located in Bloomfield Shopping Centre so its really easy to get to with plenty of free parking and ATMs around so its really convenient.

Being one of them, I can only apologise and point you in the direction of this Mothercare for lessons on how to deal with us. I'll grant you high chair shopping is less than thrilling and test driving every high chair in the store twice, might seem over the top, but as first time parents, the decision is critical! A sympathetic shop assistant was quick to offer help and nodded knowingly while we debated each chair on it's merits. She was only too happy to adjust the straps on every chair, because you know, we wanted baby to sit in every one! Once we'd made this life changing decision she was only too happy to lug the thing to the car. An offer we declined, as we thought she'd gone through enough. Other than the fantastic customer service, the store is large, clean, bright and well stocked. It has a photo studio at the back and the usual large clean parent and baby changing/feeding area.

This store is located half way down Castle street, it has a more personal feel to it in contrast to the big chain children's shops in town. They seem to stock all the essentials for a new born baby, the place is jam packed with Cots (both traditional and modern) and prams. All the prams are at ground level so you can give them a good test. Really modern store inside with the all the major baby brands stocked.

Pricewise, as the name suggests, is slightly different. They focus more on cheaper prices and cheaper stock. Which is quite refreshing to an extent. They have all the usual items, such as clothing, blankets, sheets, toys (good for Christmas), prams, highchairs, etc etc. And I must say that the majority of stuff is pretty good and very nice. I was surprised however to see one large section of the bottom floor devoted to Halloween costumes, but I guess kids have to get costumes somewhere, so why not here. Upstairs they have staged lots of nurseries to give you ideas of what to buy and how lovely it could look. The one qualm I have with Mama's and Papa's is the prices. They really do charge above and beyond for things you could pick up much cheaper in Mothercare or Babies R Us. It's pretty good for one off things that they have exclusively but if you're kitting out for the first baby you don't want to be spending more than you have to! I love coming in for a look though! Something very warm and cosy about the store!

Fantastic shop. It's changed over the years a fair bit in appearance and function. When I was young…read moremy parents would take me here to get model planes and cars as well as having ornaments for around the home for themselves. The home furnishing and ornamental side is pretty much the same however the toys and models have been gone for some time now, replaced (handy for us) by baby gear. Prams, car seats, cots etc. The range is very impressive indeed, they will have something for everyone, from well priced entry level prams to the Rolls-Royce type top of the line stuff. The pram we were interested in was demonstrate to us by very knowledgeable and friendly staff who made selecting the right stuff a breeze. When we then saw the same one slitghtly cheaper elsewhere they even matched the price. Customer focused shopping experience just the way it should be.

Well those are all people who shop at places like Kiddy Junior. It is the high end of the market when it comes to paraphernalia for babies and toddlers. Its all the different looking stuff that some yummy mummies like to have and of course it is all beautiful. The prices are high but you are getting a good quality product which is practical, modern and funky. My sister, her one year old and I walked in, had one quick look about and then walked out again. We had to leave because our credit cards started to cry really loudly.

While the stock itself is really great I found the prices a little higher than you'd pay in town a few miles down the road. Although this is often the case on the Lisburn road being in close proximity to the wealthier Malone Road residents. However you would find a few different items here than say to Mothercare or Mama's and Papa's so it's certainly worth a visit! Just make sure you're credit card is topped up!

WeeCycle is a consigment store for babies and young kids clothes, toys etc. I love that they don't…read morecall the goods second hand, but refer to them as 'gently used'. How great is that?! I recently redecorated both my kids bedrooms and was reluctant to just bin or give away the old stuff as it was from Laura Ashley, White Company and Cath Kidston so I dropped it off at WeeCycle. Strangely, the things I expected to be snapped up didn't sell at all, which is hard not to take personally. What exactly is wrong with my stuff? Maybe it was more than 'gently' used. Anyhoo, most of it did sell so about a month later I went back to get my cash. The store takes a whopping 60% of what they've sold your things for so don't expect to make a fortune. What you can do though is spend what you have made in the shop and that way you get 50% of the value rather than 40%. A kind of very convoluted swap shop. If like me you end up with some unsold things, do the right thing and drop them off at the charity shop a few doors along.

I was REALLY unhappy with this service…read more I brought in my items and when I phoned up to see what was sold they told me nothing however, on facebook there was a few of my items up with sold!! So I explained this on the phone and they said they would get back to me which they didn't. So I called into the shop and was surprised to see none of my items so they all had sold! The girl in the shop told me she couldn't give me the money, the owner would have to however the owner was off on maternity! The girl in the shop told me the prices my items sold for however, when I spoke to the owner she told me completely different prices my items had sold for, lower than the girl in the shop had told me! In addition, there was 8 items I had brought in they had no record of, which I was told they must have been give away for FREE on the 3 for 2 sale or DISPOSED of. I was really unhappy with this as I would have preferred they had give them back to me. When I spoke to the owner over the phone she shouted over me and told me she didn't have time to listen to me as she had a baby and she hung up! I feel really short changed by this shop. I would NEVER use this shop again!
