After searching google and yelp reviews for shops that did ear piercings we settled on this shop…read moreand overall the experience was fantastic. We were able to get an appointment quickly with a piercer who has been in the business for 17 years, which is great to have someone with all that knowledge. It took about 20 minutes to get through the paperwork and have the earrings sanitized and when my daughter sat down she spent additional time walking her through all of the steps and expectations - we were never rushed and all questions were respectfully answered. When my daughter got nervous she stopped and calmly walked her through it and waited until she was fully ready again. The piercing sites were marked where my daughter was able to see before hand and adjust as desired, everything was cleaned and then after the piercing she applied a cold saline cloth which my daughter loved. It has been two weeks and so far the piercings haven't caused any pain - we followed the advice to not turn and clean with saline spray only as needed, which is the exact opposite advice I received decades ago and it has worked fantastically. Also, the earring she got had flat backs so they don't poke into her head, which has also provided better comfort then the shopping mall piercing I received as a child. Additionally, we go back after 8 weeks for them to update her earring size, which provides a smaller rod through her ear since the current earring is longer to account for swelling - this is a great option which I wasn't expecting, there is a lot of thought that goes through this entire process! I highly recommend this for a first piercing for your child. It is far more expensive than a mall piercing but such a better experience that it is definitely worth it!

I explained we tried to make an appointment, they were all booked up. Disappointing.

Yeah, this is not the place for you if you're looking for a small tattoo with a fine-line font. I…read moream not satisfied at all with the outcome of my tattoo. I am certainly no artist but words don't seem like they would be that difficult for a professional tattoo artist, especially when a picture of what is requested is shown to the artists and a mockup that looks perfect is created.. I was wrong. I have been asked if it is my child's handwriting. Adding to the review since I don't see a way to respond to the helpful response that this received. Yes, I did pay for it with a generous tip. No, unfortunately, I have not contacted anyone as I assume there's no way it can be corrected. If there is a way to contact the owner, I would love to do so and explain my concern and remove this review. The artists were polite and courteous, so did not want to write a negative review but felt I needed to warn others. While a review like this might not be the best way to solve the issue of my dissatisfaction, I am a little bit embarrassed to contact anyone regarding it.

I worked with Eric, who's books are normally FULL. It definitely shows, as I walked away with another AMAZING addition to my odd collection of tattoos (Eric added Boo from Mario bros 3 & on). He was stoked to offer color options, and added shading with my permission. I'll add a picture once it heals, but I'm overall so happy with being a walk-in client and the turnout of the tattoo. Thank you Eric, and everyone at Mos Eisley's. I'll be back the next time I'm around GR.

When I went back for tattoo across my abdomen i was required to put a $250.00 deposit down which seemed high. I scheduled my first appointment. I had to reschedule due to having sepsis and being in the hospital. The next appointment had to be rescheduled too as I was still recovering and not fully healed. They said I could not reschedule and no refund on my $250.00!!!! Deposit. I was so unhappy. I saved for a long time to get that money and they just keep it. Deposits are for no shows, missed appointments, etc then the artist gets paid. People have things happen in life. As long as they call ahead giving time for a new person to take the time slot why keep the deposit?

This shop is really beautiful-clean, well maintained, awesome artwork everywhere. The shop owner Dav is super friendly and great at responding to emails, phone calls and keep up with clients. The shop is slightly off the main drag in Jenison and when I pulled up, I thought that they were closed but we had made appointments months in advance, so we were good to go! Tony Putt did my tattoo and I am so grateful for this experience. I've been following Tony on instagram for a while now @sharktoothtony and fell in love with his tattoo designs and use of color. As my sister and I were planning on sister tattoos, I decided to go to Tony and my sister to Dav. For our tattoos, we wanted a cow skull and flowers but because we had different aesthetics in mind, each tattoo artist designed a totally different tattoo to fit our wants/needs. When we arrived at the studio and Tony showed me the design, I nearly gasped as it was absolutely gorgeous and exactly what I had dreamed of and more. I am artist myself but am always shocked and pleasantly surprised at how when given some simple prompts and ideas for tattoos, many tattoo artists can come up with the most amazing designs perfect for a tattoo. Tony's design was the perfect mix of art nouveau, modern, and a mix of bold and delicate. Tony's studio is really beautifully decorated with dark navy walls and artwork covering nearly every square of space. He had traditional flash on the walls, colorful paintings, and taxidermy animal heads. The space felt comfortable and he provided me with a pillow for comfort. I love getting tattoos but I hate the process of getting them done. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise, they hurt like hell. The whole time, like every.single.minute. Tony was really relaxed and made me feel comfortable the whole time. He is professional and the tattoo turned out incredibly gorgeous. I am so excited about this whole experience and hope that I get to come back to him again someday!
