I had an amazing experience at Love Tattoo and although I live 12 hours away in North Carolina, I hope to get another tattoo done here in the future. This shop is really beautiful-clean, well maintained, awesome artwork everywhere. The shop owner Dav is super friendly and great at responding to emails, phone calls and keep up with clients. The shop is slightly off the main drag in Jenison and when I pulled up, I thought that they were closed but we had made appointments months in advance, so we were good to go! Tony Putt did my tattoo and I am so grateful for this experience. I've been following Tony on instagram for a while now @sharktoothtony and fell in love with his tattoo designs and use of color. As my sister and I were planning on sister tattoos, I decided to go to Tony and my sister to Dav. For our tattoos, we wanted a cow skull and flowers but because we had different aesthetics in mind, each tattoo artist designed a totally different tattoo to fit our wants/needs. When we arrived at the studio and Tony showed me the design, I nearly gasped as it was absolutely gorgeous and exactly what I had dreamed of and more. I am artist myself but am always shocked and pleasantly surprised at how when given some simple prompts and ideas for tattoos, many tattoo artists can come up with the most amazing designs perfect for a tattoo. Tony's design was the perfect mix of art nouveau, modern, and a mix of bold and delicate. Tony's studio is really beautifully decorated with dark navy walls and artwork covering nearly every square of space. He had traditional flash on the walls, colorful paintings, and taxidermy animal heads. The space felt comfortable and he provided me with a pillow for comfort. I love getting tattoos but I hate the process of getting them done. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise, they hurt like hell. The whole time, like every.single.minute. Tony was really relaxed and made me feel comfortable the whole time. He is professional and the tattoo turned out incredibly gorgeous. I am so excited about this whole experience and hope that I get to come back to him again someday! read more

Sheridan was wonderful. Before and during my tattoo session she would ask me if I needed a break. I loved the small detail on the tattoo she drew out and put on me. Thanks Sheridan! read more

Tony Putt is HANDS DOWN one of the most talented tattoo artists I've ever met. On top of that, he's a genuinely kind and gentle person. I have a LOT of tattoos, and in the past, anytime I would go to a tattoo shop, I would often be faced with a stern/hard faced man who acts like I'm wasting his time, which is incredibly intimidating. When someone is making the decision to put a permanent piece of art on their body, the LAST thing they should feel is intimidation. You will NEVER get that attitude at Love Tattoo. Their attitude matches their name- love. Dave, the owner, is friendly as all get out, and all of the artists are super personable. Love Tattoo, and specifically Tony Putt, is where I will go for the rest of my tattoos. read more

I got my first tattoo here done by Kaleb and it was an amazing experience. He did a great job with the tattoo design. I came in with a design and he took it and made it even more amazing, adding color and textures. The way he textured and shaded the tattoo made it look like it was popping off my arm. I definitely will he returning for my next tattoo. read more

Love Tattoo - I love my new tattoo. Love tattoo is,the best and their staff is super talented - Tattoo Near Me - Georgetown Township, Michigan

I ventured into Love Tattoo not knowing what to expect. I'd seen pictures of the shop online and some of the artists' work (although it would be helpful if they added some more). I had sent in my design ahead of time so I only had to wait a few minutes to get started. The tattoo artist that I went with was Josh G. (recommended by a friend). He was really cool! We made jokes back and forth during the tattoo which helped me relax. Since the tattoo took less time than expected, he lowered the price from what he quoted me at before we started. Love Tattoo is a clean and fun place to get work done. Much better than Laughing Gremlin (rip-off city). I don't know what the first reviewer was talking about in regards to Love being too expensive (good work is supposed to cost a little more). And yes, they do want your money...that's why they opened a business. Anyway, go to Love Tattoo if you're in West Michigan. read more

I went and brought my tattoo design to the guys at Love Tattoo. They quoted me a price that was ridiculously high for what I wanted. The place appeared very clean and the quotes on piercings were pretty cheap. However, the tattoos were very high. The guy who greeted me was not very friendly and was just looking to rip me off. I didn't appreciate that and I did not give them my business. read more

I got my bellybutton pierced and my tattoos done here. Both times I was helped by Dave. He was very cool, easy going, and fun to talk to. They're very accommodating, clean and super friendly. Free touch-ups! I'm a fan. read more

After checking out a couple other tattoo shops, which I was not impressed with, I found my way to Love Inc. They were extremely professional and courteous. They made me feel welcome and answered all my questions. I decided to get my tattoo done there because of their good customer service. I did not know who would be doing my tattoo, but it ended up being someone named Jay (Jay Kush). Jay had drawn up several different variations of my design, which helped me decided on the colors and exact detail of my tattoo. I honestly wasn't sure what him and I were going to have to talk about during the 2-3 hours it would take to do my tattoo. But, we ended up having great conversation, which helped take my mind off the slight pain of the tattoo. My tattoo turned out great, and it continues to look great after nearly 5 years. I would recommend Love Tattoo to everyone! read more

I went to Love to get my Tragus pierced. I was pierced by Pierre (who is AMAZING). I felt incredibly comfortable. It was a clean environment, artist's work on every surface including the chalkboard. Pierre was super friendly and explained every step of the process. He even saved my ears my explaining that two prior peircings I had weren't healing properly and had to be removed. He walked me through why they were unsafe and continued to walk me through every step of my new piercing. The prices are higher than your two for thirties but you have to pay for good work and I am more than satisfied with what i got. I definitely plan on returning for more piercings and some ink and I would recommend them to anyone. read more

Cat Gedman the owner of Love True tattoo studio is not a nice person in the slightest, I worked for her in October doing the refurbishment upstairs which alot of the customers know, along side this i was learning to do piercings and management of the studio. Unfortunately there were legal issues from Cats behalf, which she was not honest about it to the staff. So work stopped immediately. Due to an incident that happened which let this all come to light, she tried to force me in a corner and to persuade me to lie for her to save her back. I didn't want to do this and I was advised by more than three people not to do anything, as I was not in the wrong. I remained professional and held my ground, though if I were in more of a vulnerable state of mind she would have pushed further. I was paid for my work as agreed, and whilst being back at home, I received numerous letters that she has claimed that I didn't do the work and that the payment was a mistake, which in return has suspended my bank account and has put the money in a pending account as she is trying to get it back. I can prove I worked at this studio, photo evidence as well as witnesses. I would like to inform anyone who is a current customer, or a future customer that this studio is not run within health and safety regulations. Whilst doing stock checks, we found hundreds of out of date needles, which we were told we could use to save money. The staff that worked for Cat is all aware of her cutting corners and that it is not run professionally. Whilst working within this industry and seeing how it's run, all of the staff feel over worked and used by her. The main artist who is acting as a manager, tattooist, and promoter all within the first year of tattooing, should have help and support which Cat was not giving, she only cares about money. For a prime example, Cat didn't continue the let on the flat which made the main artist move out with know here to go, so she ended up staying in the building site above the studio with no running water, heating, shower etc. for days to even weeks. I feel it is extremely disgusting that an owner of a business will allow this to happen. Another example is refunds. Cat messed around a customer with their booking numerous times, and when they asked for a refund she denied it and would then ignore all contact with this customer who has been in numerous times. I was left to deal with most of it, along side other staff that agreed that the customer is well within the rights to a refund. Though Cats main concern is money, she didn't allow this for over a week until she had to face the customer after numerous attempts to meet with her. I feel it is necessary to have my say and make you aware of this business. read more

I went to Love Tattoo today for my first ever tattoo. I was a little skeptical about getting one even tho it was a small one but Dave was so helpful and talked through it and it was done in no time. This place is so clean and they use several pairs of gloves during the process. I would definitely recommend them! read more

Honestly, It's really too bad that Jay is such a Dick. With prices that high you should be received with a totally professional attitude. I realize that some people aren't bold enough to walk away after hearing such outrageous price quotes but damn! Seriously, shop around before committing to giving your cash to these guys. Their work is good but their prices are still dumbfounding. There's other shops that can do the same for half the price or less. I will not be returning there ever again. read more

I would highly recommend Love Tattoo to anyone! I went in for a touch up while my wife was getting her first. This was a totally enjoyable experience and we couldn't be happier with the service and the results. Dav was excellent in his talent as well as his personality. He took his time and explained everything as he was working and then after for the follow up care. A very clean environment, great people, and true artists.......what more could you want! read more

Whitney is great! So friendly and clean here!! I definitely recommend going here if you want a well done and professional tattoo experience. They also do piercings if that's what you're looking into! :) read more

I came into their shop with a design I'd worked on a while. It was fairly simple, a vesica piscis with vines and flowers around it, about 5" height and width. I wanted the vines and flowers without the black outlines, just in green and purple with slight gradation. (http://i.imgur.com/7QIMjjY.jpg for reference) I'd shown it to a couple other artists in the area and they had no concerns, but wanted to check out Love as it was so close to home. I stopped by and talked with Preston, who told me that the design would need to be completely re-done other than the circles of the vesica piscis because it was way too detailed. He was unprofessional and referred to parts of it as "sh*t" several times. When we discussed the colors I wanted to work in, I was told that no one there would tattoo vines and flowers without a black outline. He seemed annoyed that I had looked at their website to learn about them and not their facebook page, as they "don't update the site anymore." If the tattoo wasn't a style they were interested in doing, there are much better ways to approach it than acting like my design was sh*tty and not feasible. This place may be great if you are going for a more traditional Sailor Jerry style but from my experience, they aren't very willing to work with original artwork. read more
