I typically get a buzz cut on the sides with a scissor cut on top, with a beard trim, mustache trim, and line work done. the vibe of the place is always chill and relaxing, and a shampoo/product after the cut is always included. for the price ($50 for me), and ease of maintenance, I wouldn't go anywhere else. I recommend my mother in law see her the day before my wedding, Christy did the exact same thing to my mother in law. Whoops i had the wrong day down she says. It was decently priced so I made another appointment, only for her to reschedule. I asked for a light brown as you can see in the texts that's the color we discussed. Some how she turned my hair Cooper accidently and I still had to pay for it. She thinks it's okay because she " didn't change full price" it doesn't matter, this isn't what I asked for. She then tells me to let it lighten up for atleast two weeks, so I did. I made another appointment to have it corrected as elsewhere i will have to pay to have the red taken out that shouldn't be there to begin with. She rescheduled me. I reached out to the salon owner today who made excuses for the bad service and says she can't assist. I asked Christy for a partial refund and she said no she doesn't do those. Donna is an excellent stylist. She is not only highly skilled she teaches for Redkin and is constantly renewing her own education.. I completely trust her with my hair and that is saying something. I have had my hair styled for special events such as weddings, by the people at the wedding. They always said what a good cut I have. If you want top notch color and style you will find it here. I see some say pricey, I don't agree. If you go and just get a cut at a chain place well then maybe. But go price the same level of service with excellent training in Orlando. Try NYC. You will not think it is pricey. This type of service is not cheap, but she is much better priced than surrounding areas. I have only one reason to write this review, and that is to let others know where they can get their hair done with the latest technology and precision. I spent almost 9 months growing back my length and started asking around about the different shops in the area. That's when I found Donna Barnes and Friends. I made my appointment with Ashley. My hair was a disaster when I arrived. I had about four-five inches of growth with gray sprinkles. She was able to get my color PERFECT on the first try. The cut is magnificent. I have not been this happy with my hair in years. I feel like a new woman. I stayed at the last salon so long because I my stylist and I were friends before I went there. I am so glad I finally changed and it is a permanent change.
